╰┈➤ When will BIAE release?

As I am developing this project on my own, I can’t say for sure when the game will officially release. I plan to, at the very least, have a demo up by the end of 2024. My plan is for the demo to act as the first “chapter” of the visual novel. I have it loosely plotted out at the moment, and just need to fine tune all the details and dialogue. Then, it’s a matter of finishing all the art and actually coding everything.

Nope! Before It All Ends will be completely free. I don’t plan on making any money off of it, as it’s genuinely just a passion project. I hope that I can give anyone who wants to the chance to experience the funky little AU I’ve created at no cost. As of right now, I won’t be taking donations or anything.

╰┈➤ How long have you been working on BIAE?

I started coming up with the concept in mid-late May of 2024. It has gone through a lot, and I mean a LOT of changes since I first started brewing it. Originally, I planned to write it as a reader insert fanfiction. Later, I was torn between keeping it as that, or switching it to a general fic so that more people could enjoy it. On June 30th, 2024, I made the decision to turn BIAE into a visual novel. That way, anybody can play through and choose the path they want. It’ll end up being a lot more work on my part, but I think it will be worth it.

As of right now, (July 2024) I don’t have any plans for unreleased characters in the main plotline. Of course, this doesn’t mean that it won’t change in the future. I’ll definitely be making some AU artwork for them though.

╰┈➤ Will there be romance aspects?

Yes, actually. Although it isn’t the central focus of BIAE, there will be different routes for certain characters who will be deemed love interests. You’ll be able to get different endings based on the choices you make and the relationships you form with the characters. There will also be routes where no romance is involved. Overall, it isn’t a major highlight of the game, but the option is in fact there!

As your choices decide the course of the playthrough, the decisions you make can lead to serious consequences. There will be some deaths that can be prevented, and there will be some that are set in stone. The major character death warning is there for a reason. When you make your choice, choose the actions you wont regret :)

Before It All Ends is an upcoming visual novel based on Genshin Impact.

BIAE is set in a futuristic environment where visions are a product of scientific development rather than gifts from the gods. In this AU, they are more akin to delusions, and have serious drawbacks to usage.

You will play the role of a protagonist in this story, joining the main cast as you search for a cure to the sudden outbreak that has taken the world by storm.

The choices you make will have consequences. When you make your decision, make sure you choose the action you won’t regret.

Information:

I’m studying psychology in university. I’ve always loved writing angst and using that writing as a way to better understand how events and actions shape people. I try to focus a lot on this in my works.

Main Focus:

I’m currently in the process of developing a visual novel based on Genshin Impact called “Before It All Ends”. It’s kind of an amalgamation of sci-fi and apocalypse, with the addition of infection AU concepts and themes.
