I wish that the fandom could just tag romance as romance. Having to block 2763 tags so I don't end up spiraling is really fucking annoying. This is an issue with every fandom but I just feel like complaining here because I feel like complaining. It's even worse when they don't tag it at all. Dramatic sigh. But also great because I don't fully understand the context of some things so it's like a really really slow treasure hunt yknow I just finished watching Island cause I put off the last episode for weeks bc it had more noah content / team e scope and I got sad but I FINISHED IT I'm on action.. . and then will rewatch world tour.. .

In my opinion, the theia arc has been very boring. I’ve barely been excited to see the videos premiere and sometimes I even skip the premieres. It’s just a lame love triangle and an underwhelming story of how Earth and theia collided and life was being developed. At least last year I was hyped about Planet X when he was being introduced and when he first Ganymede and Europa. Theia just became a boring ass love interest for Earth.

sorry for spam posting i promise im done after this. mercury is continuously "shrinking" due to geological activity. we know this. it was covered in the show. so WHY is mercury still one of the smallest planets in the newer episodes,, mercury was around the size of earth during its formation 💔

Your so real for that, I haven't either and me and my friend have instead made up our own universe with the solarballs as a loose template, we've tweaked a few personalities and made a whole fuck ton of lore for the space and celestial beings, even centered it around our own star system, we may not like how the direction solarballs is heading but we thank em for helping us discover our love for personified planets lol

Me n my friends did the same thing!! we've lost interest a bit but when we were fully immersed it was crazy there were so many stars and hypothetical planets and made up lore,, how do i tell the modern solarballs fan that toliman is my comfort character but not the one that bullies sun. the one i made in my head before the big bang arc ruined everythingi dreamed for

I feel like I am the only one who disliked the new ep. It felt so rushed 😭😭😭, almost like they were trying to fit the most things they could in one ep.

I think Triton full backstory with Neptune could have been an arc(without counting the one they had in current era).

And Ceres appeared!!!!! But it also felt rushed and short.

Overall it could have been so much better if they actually took time to develop the characters.

I don’t really like how the battle of planet X ended. Planet X spent billions of years studying the solar system and seeking revenge. NO way did he just do a 180 on his own personality and goals over somebody he barely knew. I get that it’s his first friend in years but I feel like as long as the friendship never actually grows (which it didn’t.) Then it isn’t ever going to be as impactful as it should’ve been and just feels like a cheap way to wrap things up. Also, I didn’t like how mercury also did a 180 on his personality. It’s hard to feel bad for mercury now. I mean he was being a really good therapist to Earth in the Earth’s redemption episode and he just…says that? Also, I find it somewhat unfair that luna, a moon, was able to change his name from The moon to luna, but when Caelus tried to change his name from Uranus to Caelus, it’s met with some backlash and not many members of the solar system actually call him by Caelus. I understand if the fandom doesn’t want to but the show has already shown that moons can change their names, so why not planets? That’s not fair that the moon got to change his name but it’s different for caelus, even if he sided with planet X. That is NOT equality, that’s more like a double standard towards moons. Don’t get me wrong though, luna is one of my favorite characters. I’m just stating how that’s not fair.

ALSO ALSO. sun's bacjstory pisses me off so much if ur gonna make him scared and traumatized of bigger celestial bodies make them ACTAULLY bigger. toliman is smaller than sun. rigil is like 10% bgiger. also the fact that tehyre there ONLY to be bullies is super annoying and how proxima?? is nearly blatantly a love interest bc shes the "only one who was nice to sun".... howis she not influenced by toliman and rigil being around her constantly?? and the fact that his trauma of being left alone is weird bc he was JUST born. how would he understand death if you translate this into irl then its lije an infant seeing a random stranger die they wouldnt remember or rly be affected by it at all.

Its so bullshit that they made sun have a whole thing about "being afraid of bigger celestial bodies" when. he has no reason to?? In the solar system trials, europa was talking about how sun wouldn't understand what it's like to deal with celestial bodies hundreds of times bigger than her, and she was RIGHT!!! The two stars that bullied sun were literally almost the?? same size as him??? Literally the ratio of sun's size to rigil and toliman's (the two stars that bullied him, btw) is LESS than the ratio of earth to mars' size. And the two giant stars that were there didn't even do anything to him, like arcturus was WARNING them of the supernova and the dying star couldn't do anything about it?? I get that for a young star that could be scary, but not to the point of being afraid of anything bigger than him???

They could have made this make 100% more sense sooo easily. Just make him be afraid of being belittled?? Make the stars who bully him more unnamed giants?? Have him encounter a black hole?? I know none of these make sense but they had arcturus as a red giant and had a supernova happen after his birth

They had SUCH a big opportunity to make a good story out of this. They could make a parallel between moons + planets and giant stars + dwarf stars and it'd work so well!! They could have had toliman and rigil (who are also dwarf stars) tell him life is unfair and tell him that he'll never compare to giant stars, keep them as bullies and still have it be REALISTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also this isnt important to my rant really but why would you make a star supernova after the sun is born. One of the leading theories of why the sun was born is that a nearby supernova caused a dust cloud to condense and begin nuclear fusion. and after that there PROBABALY wouldn't be another supernova nearby. just a thought!!

the fact that earht's only defining trait now is mental instability is soo fucking infuriatning. the mental illness is PART of a good character and personality not THE character and personality. all the characters have been reduced to their most popular traits like ofc we lije earth more after his arc but its BECAUSE he tried to change n was changing before solarballs suddenly went downhill... also hiiui this is my little rambling spot... tring to bring more light to the side of solarballs that hates the show... heh

I agree SO MUCH OMG I HATE THAT EARTH WAS IMPROVING AND THEY SUDDENLY TURN IT ALL AROUND!! I bet they saw that people liked earth more during earth alone/the earth is heading to the sun and thought "hmm.. lets make him do that again"

Like, yeah!! A lot of people tend to like their favorite characters more when they're going through it!!! But if that character already started healing then why set them all the way back for an audiences enjoyment? Sometimes what the fans want isn't the best option for a show, thats why things like aus and fanfiction exists

Ty so much for bluring my name out! Anyway, ive been looking forward to the whole Triton and Neptune arc, I was so excited they were gonna explore Neptune's past a bit and mend his relationship with Triton more and that whole cool flashback shebang....but they just, moved on? Like, no episodes so far circling back and as more and more time passed I've come to realize they've just left it alone??? Like, it ticks me off, much like the previous person said with the lack of Neptune content, any semblance of character development or interesting lore is pushed aside for his silly vibe (while I do love some moments, I must admit), massive missed opportunity to expand upon his insanity! Sure it was touched upon briefly by uranus but it was more towards how he was in the swap episode! id love if they actually brought on that no, he isn't usually supposed to be fully like this, something happened and it was wrong, to provide support as he clearly needs it

It's so weird that neptune is only really taken seriously in the episode where he's 'magically fixed', and as soon as he goes back to normal he's immediately "oh a little bit crazy silly guy:3"

What annoys me most about this show is the fact they do storylines and just drop them to focus on something else

ie tritons storyline, the uranus/caelus thing now, basically ignoring saturn during the planet x arc despite his role in ejecting planet x

It all feels so rushed and it makes the show less fun to watch

Me with astrodude constantly. This isn't as bad as the triton storyline but they'll give him an arc and then put 40 billion storylines inbetween the next time he's even mentioned.

But about the triton thing, if they wanted it to be a small thing that shows up once then why make it so obvious?? Like saturn being called a moon killer, but there was no actual seen version of it. Just the moons hearing about it and getting upset. If triton was gonna irrelevant then they could have just made him say "i've done some bad things in the past" and leave it at that.
