Something that really sucks about being disabled is places say that they’re accessible but they aren’t.
I’ve been to places that claim to be accessible where
the ramp’s too steep
there are steps they didn’t mention because “it’s only two or three”
the doorways are too small
there aren’t any elevators to the top floor
the floor is too rough to easily push on
exhibits are displayed in ways that are impossible to see from a wheelchair
the doors don’t have a push button
tables/exhibits are put way too close together
the surrounding paths have no curbs
Without those things, it isn’t accessible. You can’t put a sloped piece of metal on your doorway and call that wheelchair friendly.

Unpopular opinion: All games should have the option to enable pausing.
And to save almost everywhere.
Yes even in soulslike games.
I am an adult who has a full time job and responsibilities. I get to play maybe an hour a week. I do not want to lose that hour of progress because devs decided 'pause' was not allowed in their game and I had sudden unexpected things come up that meant I had to quit the game without saving/leave it playing and hope enemies wouldn't respawn.
Also it would massively increase accessability. I have fully working non-injured hands and they still need a break after a tough boss fight. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for people with joint pain, arthritis, etc, etc.

28 December 2023
Journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul’s illness has worsened. He is now confined to bed and is on an IV. We pray for his swift recovery.
The destruction of sanitation infrastructure, cold winter floods, and decaying corpses under homes and in streets has made simply existing in Gaza even more dangerous. The extremely hazardous conditions in all of Gaza, but especially the north where there is no aid coming in, have caused many people to fall ill. Due to their frequent travel throughout destroyed areas, journalists are especially vulnerable to disease and injury.

disabled people are allowed to have hobbies that clash with our disabilities by the way
I'm allowed to like journaling even if my hand tremors make it so I can't do something as "pretty" as an abled bodied person
I'm allowed to like crocheting even if it's bad for my joints and it takes me double the time it would take someone else to finish a project
and yes I'm trying to switch to knitting which is lighter on the hands, but even that - even fucking using my phone - makes my finger hurts
I'm allowed to complain about it, just like you - specially if you're abled - are not allowed to tell me off about it
it's so hard for us to find joy, you're not allowed to police the small things that help
