Kindness, compassion, an ever-extending hand from everyone he knew, and he spit in the faces of those who had helped him unconditionally. And for what? To crawl back his lover: Sorrow. To pursue his own selfish desires. "He used us,” she screamed to her sensei one morning, “And we let him!” She was so angry. She had nothing except empty feelings and wasted experiences. She had wasted her heart on someone so undeserving of her devotion. She was so angry. She had made so many excuses for him, dove in the line of fire for him, and in the end it was him who delivered the final blow.  She would give no more except exactly what he deserved, if Karma did not deliver it first. —- Hey, it’s been awhile since a daily sketch has been posted, hasn’t it? Lot’s of awesome things are happening currently so besides distracted by said things, I’m working on bigger and more detailed works. This was in my sketch dump for a few days though so I decided to slap come color on it and give it s story. My head canon will never not make IS not evil or twisted. Don’t kill me Sasusaku shippers, I don’t hate any ship (BUT HIGHLY DISLIKE), just what my brain came up with. I love teh drama 9u9

Just a small low quality text edit, but this scene always brought me to tears and still does to this day. Not only was it a good reminder of how amazing his early work was in comparison to now, but it perfectly matched what I felt, and I think what we all feel. Also I thought it would be good tribute to Junko and the similar love she had with us.

I couldn’t bring myself to do the next page, unfortunately. And I deeply apologize for portraying Kishi with Zabuza. It’s not fair to Zabuza’s character. But I just had to do this.

Didn't I tell you they live on fillers and headcanons.

well, when pretty much everything in canon is a slap in the face to them, i’m not really surprised. ☕️

kishi: i killed neji for them to get together; he “died as cupid”.

kishi: the boruto movie is the first screenplay i’ve written – the last was “an idea from the anime producers”.

kishi: i “pitied” hinata because she watched naruto from the beginning, so felt i needed to “reward” her for doing so.

kishi: i’m too “embarrassed” to write anything to do with their romance, so i let studio pierrot and, idk, some randomly affiliated authors write their fanfiction as fillers for those gaps that i couldn’t be arsed to fill myself… but hold up, i’ll personally take the time and effort to write my final work for the series, which focuses on s/s, sarada (seemingly my true next generation main character) and team 7.

kishi: i literally just straight up “forgot” about hinata’s main trait when creating the kids… but i’ll retcon a byakugan ‘awakening’ joke later or something, no worries.

kishi: oh yeah, i intentionally made n/s parallel mina/kushi because it was, like, a “red-herring” or whatever the hell they’re telling me to say now…

kishi: also, my wife is just like sakura and she shipped naru/saku. she was the one who helped me write mina/kushi too! but she got hella angry at me over naru/hina; she was “very upset that naruto didn’t get together with sakura” and “complained quite vehemently to me” about it. oh, and my only contribution to ‘the last’ was our scarf gifting memory, since i tried to “defuse the situation by assuring her that she was actually the model for hinata” but she knew that wasn’t true; my wife is a “strong character”.

kishi: however, i assure you that n/h wasn’t the asspull that it seems – i apparently just couldn’t be bothered depicting them on more than 40 pages out of, like, 12,500+ in my 15 years of writing the story. i actually decided on s/s “early” on, but naru/hina wasn’t planned until “the middle”, somehow… idk, i liked s/s, so the other two basically happened by default later on, i guess.

kishi: naruto doesn’t have time for his family – the exact thing that he craved the most throughout his lonely life – during an era of peace.

kishi: naruto sleeps on the couch.

kishi: naruto’s son hates him. he hurls abuse at his father, makes his mother cry and ruins his little sister’s birthday party with a tantrum.

kishi: he’s the son of, like, the strongest ninja and a main-branch member of a prestigious clan, but he has to cheat to be a decent shinobi.

kishi: naruto’s daughter also gut-punched him unconscious and made him miss the day that he’d been dreaming about his entire life. you know, the one that was a theme of the series, which i consistently built up to showcasing the moment of for my invested readers to finally see come to fruition… psych.

kishi: naruto knows the significance of bento and still runs; leaving his son stuck with his mother’s unappreciated meal, still hateful of his father, feeling sorry for his mother and pissed at his dad’s lack of care for his marriage.

kishi: hinata is “frumpy”, “crumpy”; she “has a bland appearance” and “reduces the amount of skin she shows”. oh, and here are the numerous characters who have commented on sakura’s beauty, including naruto!

kishi: hinata – who has the byakugan, btw (like, 360º vision and has been trained to walk upside down & on the water surface) – tripped on a rock and gave up on personally trying to help naruto, whilst sakura performed medical ninjutsu, manually pumped his heart with her hand & administered CPR with practically no chakra.

kishi: naruto had feelings for sakura for 699 chapters – he develops feelings for hinata in the movie that i didn’t think was important enough to mention at all in my work. apparently it’s the result of a genjutsu and feeling sorry for her or something?

If yoy don't mind me asking, what made you hate Hinata (just genuinely curious)?

I already reblogged the reasons for that anon. Those reblogs stated what I want to say but if you like, I can still elaborate on it a bit.

But if you were roaming around asking this question to anti hinata fans, I’m sure you can already predict what my answer would be.

Warning: Long rant

I actually didn’t mind Hinata at first. I remember back when I was just a kid of 8-10 years of age and got a glimpse of Naruto back in the day that I was indifferent to her because I was more concerned about Team 7.

I continued to be indifferent about her in Naruto Shippuden and I only watched the canon episodes with my siblings a few months ago to catch up (because we hate fillers - it’s such a drag) so I didn’t get to see the blatant favoritism that much.

Then here comes the issue of Neji’s death. Gosh, that one really broke my heart. I may not have minded Hinata prior to that point, but Neji’s death literally made me change my views. Don’t misunderstand, I still don’t hate her for that.

What made me hate her is what happened afterwards.

It really got me annoyed that she got the time to think about Naruto’s hand in the midst of Neji’s corpse. I mean, I get it anon. She is just trying to be strong for Naruto’s sake so he won’t falter. But if she had no problem thinking about her crush’s hand, she should have no problem mourning him for longer than 1-3 minutes, yes?

Another blow would be: she actually want Neji to save him? What about her? Is she just going to trip on rocks? I thought she’s a medic-nin? Oops, that’s SP’s BS and one I’ll tackle later.

But really, what could Neji do? Girl, he’s dead and unlike other anime which showed dead people aiding a dying fellow, Naruto clearly demonstrated that only those of the living can actually make a difference to save lives; except for Naruto with his parents, but that’s because of the residual chakra inside the seal to make it happen.

Okay, I forgive the girl because she is powerless and not capable of saving him because she doesn’t have the necessary skill. She’s still not out of the woods yet though.

Then here comes SP’s BS.

Of course, I already stated that I didn’t watch fillers. It just so happen that the ones I did have still ended up having a glaring favoritism at times - not as plenty as that of fillers - but still very obvious.

I actually had to watch SP making omakes out of praising Hinata. What really pissed me off is they have to shat on Sakura. I love Sakura’s character and I’m pissed off by the treatment she gets especially when they go so far as to actually want Hinata to have the heroine title and making Sakura jealous that someone would steal her spotlight as the actual heroine. Like, wtf!

It pissed me off that a side character with no feats under her name and no actual character development interacting with other characters outside Neji and of course, Naruto-kun in her name is hailed by the bias, disgusting studio to be a better heroine that a main character who did have those things as well as a really good development that never got regressed (no matter what fandumb wants you to believe). Annoying.

And then here I come to the comparisons. Thanks to the grossly unprofessional studio, there’s a lot of inconsistencies regarding fillers versus actual canon. It’s too bad that anime fans tend to look at fillers as justification why Hinata is a better character like:

It didn’t help that when I went to read the manga I noticed how much of a bad character she is.

She prioritized Naruto over her teammates hardwork.

That’s just one of them anon.

There’s also the issue of her actual strength versus that of Sakura’s (as her wankers would love to undermine).

Thanks to the BS SP added with the Hamura BS in The Last, many actually believe she stand a chance against Sakura? Then why did she still need Naruto’s help? Why didn’t she become a jounin? Why is she still a chunin? Why didn’t she help when the Otsutsuki headaches attacked Konoha? She even became a burden by getting herself injured, lol.

Can you believe she destroyed the show by her overexposure? What happened to Naruto’s dream and finally achieving it? Why didn’t they show that to us instead? Why did it suddenly turn into a shoujo show when I started watching a shounen? Where is Team 7? Shouldn’t they be the focus as the main characters?

What the hell is up with The Last? You mean to tell me that Naruto needed a genjutsu to fall in love with her? What happened about knowing other people’s feelings?

I can’t believe Naruhina fans are content with that, lol.

Her fandom: why can’t they praise her without dragging Sakura down? Are they really that insecure? She had her own development and as a true fan, they should be content with it. But they actually had the gall to steal many of Sakura’s traits (no thanks to SP) and toned down her appearance, then they have the nerve to make twisted comparisons.

Dear Hinawankers, your fave is crap who just lived on copying everybody else’s achievement.

Just look at her backstory via SP: bullied

Her having Hamura’s chakra: hello Naruto and Sasuke.

And many more.

So yeah anon, to summarize my hate: thank SP and her fandom wankers.

Naruto has 700 chapters, with about 15 pages per chapter on average

Hinata has 40 pages of panel time

40/(700x15)= 0.0038

Rounded up Hinata was in 0.004% of the manga

SP is the abbreviation for Studio Pierrot who is a Japanese animating studio and they are the ones who animate Naruto.

Many fans dislike the studio because a lot of their work is at a very low standard. Here are a few examples:

That doesn’t mean that they can’t do good animation. They are actually capable of outstanding animation. But, they like to spread their budget around and put money on more important parts of the story. Another element is their favouritism with certain characters. This leads me onto my second point of why people dislike SP so much.

To put it simply, they absolutely adore Hinata but they don’t like Sakura. Some people say it’s due to their characters, some say it’s because of their chest sizes or just simply because of their popularity amongst fans. You can read this short analysis which shows how much effort was put into one short scene where Hinata was confessing compared to other episodes.

I’d just like to add my own two cents into this from recent episodes. So, I’m sure you know that the last few episodes of Naruto Shippuden were filler episodes about Naruto’s and Hinata’s wedding. This is what the first few episodes consisted of:

You get the point. Now, as soon as Hinata shows up in the episode, she gets all the spotlight.

You can see just how much effort was put into animating her. Her hair, eyes, clothes and even lighting has so much precise detail. SP is basically pushing it all out just for her. Whereas Sakura is made to look like this:

In one episode they even made Sakura and Ino fight over who is more womanly and Ino used the argument that Sakura has a small chest so she is obviously less feminine. This just shows how sexist the studio is. In their view, big boobs = more womanly. And that is the main reason why Hinata gets the spotlight and why she ended up with Naruto.

In The Last, the animation is probably at it’s best and it’s pretty obvious why. Because the movie is Hinata-centred. It’s so obvious how much time and effort they put into that movie just to show-off Hinata and obviously make her look better. They even put her in an outfit which showcased her boobs even more (proving further how sexist SP is).

Even in the new Boruto series, Hinata is getting so much unnecessary screen time (even more than Naruto himself).

I think Naruto & Sakura would be very physically affectionate as a couple

They’d kiss each others’ foreheads all the time

Naruto would kiss her cheeks, lips and nose

They’d hold hands when out walking together

One of them always hugs the other from behind when they get home from work - Sakura likes that the height difference means she can rest her face against his back, while for Naruto it means he has to bend down to rest his chin on her shoulder (it gives him a neck ache but he does it anyway)

Sakura often sits on the couch or bed and reads for hours. When Naruto sits next to her she likes to rest her head on his arm/shoulder and she’ll often fall asleep that way

Sakura likes resting her head on his torso when they go to sleep (she feels calmed by the sound of heartbeat)

When they fall asleep spooning, later in the night one of them ends up kicking the other onto the opposite side of the bed

Sakura puts her feet on Naruto’s lap when they both sit on the couch and watch TV

Naruto rests his head in her lap and almost always dozes off there, Sakura will kind of comb her fingers through his hair (he drools when he sleeps and his face looks so goofy, seeing it overwhelms Sakura with affection)

When Sakura is pregnant, Naruto is always stroking/touching the bump because he already loves the baby so much
