I'll be gone even before the sun rises and you'll realize your mistake. I'm a stranger who managed to steal your heart even If It's just for a second. You'll look back at this moment and realize that these were the golden years of your mistakes and now it's the beginning of your soft years And I was your greatest mistake. Even after this time you still wait for me even though you know I won't come back.

aparently in the latest fantastic 4 comics johnny storm has been in a relationship with an alien, and that would be pretty standard affair for marvel heroes, right.
except someone at marvel with fucking balls of steel and the biggest brain in the known universe made the alien look... actually alien
this is the greatest thing ive seen in my life, is almost enough to make me want to read the comic

Hi guys, it's been a while since I published any posts and so I wanted to update myself a bit on the latest news regarding the world of Naruto. The first concerns our beautiful cherry blossom, voted by the Japanese as the strongest woman. Surprising as a result? Honestly speaking, yes and no. Yes, because in the world of anime there are many strong women, so the fact that Japan preferred the female protagonist of Naruto can give us an idea of the concept of "strength" that the Japanese tend to attribute to a woman; evidently Sakura is a character who presents these characteristics. On the other hand it is not a surprising result because, as we know, the character of Sakura has always been loved in Japan, regardless of whether she would end up with Naruto or Sasuke. This once again attests to how the author of the work made a huge mistake in following that small mass that had made him believe that Sakura was unpopular (remember that the only reason why Kishi regressed the development of his character and coupled Naruto with Hinata is because at the time he was influenced by people who convinced him of Hinata's popularity compared to Sakura). Seeing how, despite the time, the facts are turning against him, says a lot. Furthermore, on Twitter I read about some fan who had translated Sakura's Japanese post and it was written that she is the female protagonist of Naruto, in love with the protagonist Naruto Uzumaki and infatuated, on the other hand, with Sasuke Uchiha; below the post says that she takes a different attitude with both boys (this wording also perfectly indicates the direction that the story was taking in the romantic field according to the Japanese themselves); In any case, I'll leave you the post below so you can translate and confirm for yourself.
The following news on the Naruto theme is the fact that for the first time ever Naruto will not be the host of the Jump party. I think this is not so surprising... nowadays we have seen how various manga have literally outclassed Naruto's sales and how its popularity has steadily decreased, including the sequel Boruto (it is not even a coincidence that at the Jump party no Boruto products have been mentioned. We only know about the video game which will be released in November). It was only a matter of time before theories turned into written evidence
What do you think about this?

DEAR NS SHIPPERS PLEASE READ.
I was really confused about this NH suddenly happening just as all of you, so as a script/literature student for almost a year, and learning all about foreshadowing, character development, and plot treatment, I decided I should talk to someone who knew more than me.
I exposed this case (about NH in the last movie) to my professor, who has been a successful screen writer for 27 years, and his answer was.
“Well, if you want to get two characters together, you have to put them through a lot of situations, and make them feel everything, both sides, so you can explain why the bond is so strong. You can’t put two characters together which development is so poor, not even if the 3, or 4 moments they have had together are really meaningful. That’s only valid if you are writing a short film cause you don’t have a lot of time, but if the story is as long as you’re telling me, then you have no excuse. You have had plenty of time to put those character through more moments, and make a successful development. If you really intent to make this two characters end up together, then you should have give them more screen time”
the I asked him about the other character (Sakura) what was her case and he answered.
“ It means he really didn’t think it through, and he has wasted years of paper and ink developing this relationship for absolutely nothing. Why would you spend so much time developing a relationship if you really didn’t mean it? As a story maker you have to keep in mind that you have to make things clear for the viewers, because if you don’t, things like this happen. It’s like a new trend in marketing to leave a really open plot so the viewers can make their own conclusions, and watch just cause they want to know if they’re right, and they do this without even consulting the writer. That is called comercial script, and it’s ruining the industry, darling. But if in the end you tell me this girl who has been with the main character all the time, and it’s clearly the main female character, is not ending up with him, you’re telling me the writer of this story hasn’t been able to keep his story in line. He practically took a side character out of nowhere, and created a relationship that through the story was not even foreshadow. It’s bad writing”
I explain about Hinata’s love for Naruto.
“And have the main character acknowledge this love?”
I told him about Pein Arc, and her confession. he asked me to see the pages of the manga, and I showed them to him.
“But then this confession was not mention again. When you write about several characters, you have to give each of them a resolution, or else it will be unfinished. This girls confessions was sudden, and it was not mention again, so in my experience this is just to help the character get its resolution. If to the main character, or to the main plot this confession is supposed to be a game changer, or something important, then it should have been mention again. I can see the main female is there again, and as you can see, or at least what it seems is that the girl is uncomfortable. Sometimes we have to take side characters to do things like this, so main characters can realise their own truth. And it’s use really often. You see a lot of movies about someone who doesn’t realise he or she is in love with their best friend until the best friend is with someone else. So having this confession, and the only person to acknowledge that moment is the other girl, then the confession is only important to those girls. As i told you before, the side character needs its resolution about those feelings, and the main character needs to realise some things that are link to the confession”.
I explained that since then, Naruto and Hinata have a couple of moments, and I showed them to him as well.
“Okey, I can see your concern. As stories develop sometimes we create characters that we wish we would have seen more of. But as much as I watched about this character, the conclusion of every interaction they have (naruto and hinata) is the girl thinking the same thing. We never see him thinking about her, or about what she has done. In the case of the other girl (Sakura) we have both of them thinking about each other constantly. In this cases the side character (hinata) will have her own resolution thanks to the impact the main character have had on her, and the other two (sakura and naruto) are more likely to have a resolution together. You can decode this just by who they keep in their thoughts. The main character has been in love with the other girl (sakura) for the whole story, and it is constantly showed. You never get a hint that he is changing his mind, so it would not be logical for him to change his mind in the blink of an eye, and he’s the main character, he gets what he wants. In this kind of stories, he works his ass off, he gets what he wants, and the other characters learn from him”
So I asked him what about the movie and I tell him everything that is going on and he told me.
“Then it means that in the main story the writer couldn’t really find a right way to give this character her resolution, so he created the perfect situation for her to have it. If this story is linked to the main one, then it will has no sense with her ending up with the main character. By the plot of this side story, I can tell that what you will mainly see is the final impact the main character has had on her, and the writer will be able to develop her story successfully, but as I see it, and talking with my own experience, her resolution will not be ending by the side of the main character. She will go through her own personal journey, she will finally give him the scarf as a sign of that chapter of her life ending because she will know new things about herself”
I thanked him, and as I was leaving his office he said to me.
“Remember that stories have to make more sense than real life. So, if you want two people to end up together, you have to constantly show how that bond gets stronger. In stories nothing just happens, so I highly doubt he will love the other girl out of nowhere, not after the writer has spend 15 years invested on the other relationship, it will be kind of crushing. Can you imagine it? Spending so much time with the one you love going through the same things, and suddenly having to forget him because someone else loves you?“
"No, sir”
“Yeah. Keep me updated, you have made me curious”
“Course I will”
So yeah, Im keeping my high hopes, or else I will be pretty disappointed. I don’t want to end up feeling disappointed.

DEAR NS, PLEASE READ PART II.
as a lot of people requested it, and here’s the update on what my professor thought of naruto’s end. But for other people’s request is not only as a NS perspective, but all of naruto. I hope this give you some peace, NS.
This time he has the whole profile of Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Hinata. That way there’s no missing info.
“Okay, so main character, and main female don’t end together”
“No”
“But then, there was this third love interest, which is pretty close to a main character”
“Yup”
“Okay, in the narrative there’s actually a lot of stuff missing. There are wholes everywhere. First of all, foreshawing. He used some kind of foreshadowing but for absolute nothing. You have literal examples of why the main guy, and the pink haired girl would end up together. They spend all of their time together which following basic rules, would’ve lead to them ending up together. You remember the little notebook that I made each of you in my class have?”
“Yes”
“If I make you write every detail about a story is because these kind of things. When you develop a story, the circumstances in your life will change, and that will make your perceptions of your life change. If in your story your main interest is to make something happen, you have to make everything for it to happen. You have to foreshadow, develop the plot, everything for it to be obvious to happen. If you develop a relationship, and at the same time intended to create the character’s development through it, you have to go with it till the end. If you don’t keep clear track of your work, then you might change your mind halfway there, but you have already develop something, you can’t just stop there.
Let’s put it this way. We are filming right now, we’re halfway the scene. Suddenly I take out a candle, and I put it on the desk. Would that affect the scene?”
“Yes, cause that would damage the continuity, if you want a candle on the table you should’ve put it there from the start because then we have to start all over again”
“Exactly. I didn’t have quite clear what I wanted from the scene, so right at the middle, I decided something different. It is the same with stories. Have you watched How I Met Your Mother?”
“A couple of episodes”
“Well, they did something similar to it. You can ask every fan of the series, they love the series but they hate the end. They foreshadow something, that at the end didn’t happened. You sold something you couldn’t keep going. I want to know about what happened to his promise to her, I want to know what happened to make him give up on her, I want to know so many things that I don’t see here.
Also, the character development I see here is awful. The girl with the purple hair, in her biography says she couldn’t take care of her clan, family, because she was weak. Since that is left aside, practically, her development is cero. She stays the same from start, to end. If you bring a character to the spotlight you should then give them development. And if it’s development is getting the guy she wanted, then is poor, because, what changed in her? What can I take out of her character?
Same with the pink hair girl. At the end she ends up with a guy who hurt her, so she went full circle. She changed, but return to be the same. But I have more comments about her”
“But… the main character changed by not still loving the main girl, that isn’t development then?”
“Well, as I read, the line of this story was to surpass the past generations and get what they didn’t get. The main character didn’t accomplish his development because by not getting the girl, he practically repeated the same mistake his past generations did”
“So, what can you tell about this?”
“Even thou the development of the story ended hideous, I feel the case of this story is that, the writer left so many doors open, so in the end he could just enter whatever he wanted. That decision was taken later, that’s obvious. We saw how the feelings of the main girl for the other guy started to change, and we have many parallels, and we never saw his feelings changing, we just have a couple of momentos with someone else, but we never had some depth in them, so it’s normal to feel confused, but I think this is the case. Just like Harry Potter, JK stated a couple of years after ending the books she wished she could change the ending, and made hermione ended with harry. This guy had the time to change his decision, maybe he felt nostalgic for his characters, or maybe, as a comercial script, as I can see, they give what was more asked for. The possibilities were too many.
So you can understand me with this, let’s talk about the other main guy, he was a bad person, but he stated the only people he trusted was this three persons, which only one was a girl, and that girl was in love with him. So if his resolution was going to be something like having a family, the only person he could be was the main girl, since is the only girl who he consider important. But as well, his resolution was sudden, for the whole story he made clear he wasn’t interested, but he had a change of heart at the last minute. Is what I’m telling you about leaving an open door for everything, so he could end it any way he wanted. The ending is very ambiguous, we have little flashes of every characters, it is… incomplete. At least it would’ve been nice to see the relationships of the characters after so many years. I get they have kids, but I don’t get more of it. I don’t know how their relationships work now. That at least would have convinced me more, but sadly, it kind of leave me feeling incomplete.
My last comment would be… it was a very noble thing for the main character to left his love interest so his friend could be happy, cause that’s the only explanation I found. It was really noble for her to keep loving him even thou he was such a bad person. And for the other main character, he has the best character development, cause he was the only one that went through a true change. It could’ve done more with their characters, I would make the main character get the girl, and the other guy I would just left him alone and supporting his friends for once, cause it’s always their friends supporting him, for me it would have felt better, but it’s not my story, so I have nothing more else to say. It’s nice in its own way. Ambiguous, but somehow nice”.
So that’s that people. NS should not be disappointed, they have a whole journey. Naruto and Sakura have so many moments that you can repeat again and again. Naruto might be over, but not in our hearts. So keep drawing, and writing, and everything you want about NaruSaku!
Love you all!

The Confession by onpenandpaper
N a r u S a k u | The Confession
by: onpenandpaper art: kirabook
There were four holes on the ceiling; one of which had sparked his interest more than the others. Said hole was particularly larger – but only just, and Naruto imagined his own eye would conveniently been able to peek without much difficulty from the other side. He had spent most of the day lying with his hands behind his head, theorizing the possibility of someone spying on him, even though he was certain that the makeshift ceiling wasn’t sturdy enough to hold a full grown man.
Then again who was he to say about what shinobi could really do, especially after what he had just witnessed during the war that had just ended. More than the life and death, it was all about the fight that everyone had become capable of. The things that he had done – that shinobi have done, from both sides, was not something he thought possible. Heck, his own heart had been kept beating in the palm of someone’s hand. That someone thought it was cool to slice his skin and move her hand around his insides, to wrap her fingers around and press his heart so that blood would flow in his veins. Yes. It was the coolest thing he had ever heard. His thoughts wandered to the owner of those hands, a faint smile creeping on his face. Before he knew it, some hours had passed. He had come to a conclusion that one, he was hungry; two, there was no one spying on him and three, he was incapable of taking his mind off Haruno Sakura.
He got up to stretch his legs, gazing from the window at the expanse of small, makeshift houses that were lined up on one side of the village. A part of the village was already being rebuilt, and for most of the shinobi whose home were lost during the Pein attack and the subsequent war, this small compound had become their temporary home. He was released from the hospital not too long ago, and he had to admit he was enjoying this prolonged state of inactivity due to the fact that he had simply never been this exhausted in his entire seventeen years of life.
It was like being a kid again, where days begun late in the morning after a full eight hours of sleep, waking up only to eat or bore himself crazy- he was not one to complain. Especially because most of all he enjoyed the attention he had been getting from a certain someone; all pink-haired and beautiful face who at the moment was a few meters away from his place, slowly approaching with eyes on the ground, seemingly in deep thought. He moved away from the window and tiptoed back to bed, making sure to turn away from the door.
“Naruto?”
She hadn’t dropped by in a couple of days and he didn’t like it at all. He was getting attention all right; but to him it never seemed enough. He snickered and feigned sleep through the silent grumbling of his stomach.
“I’m coming in, alright?”
The door creaked and in she came, his heightened senses almost feeling the weight of her steps on the floor. Good thing it was easy to fake a yawn, which was why it was his first instinct as he pretended to jerk awake.
“Oh…” he managed in between another yawn. “It’s you, Sakura-chan.”
“I thought I’d drop by. How’s your shoulder?”
He watched through droopy eyes as she grabbed the seat next to his bed. Failing to hide his excitement, he immediately sat up, feet dangling on the edge with all traces of fake sleepiness gone. “It’s a bit…” he pretended to contemplate for a moment while giving his right shoulder a good rub. “Stiff.”
Sakura stood in front of him and began pressing firmly on random points on his shoulder while he sat there, not really feeling anything in particular other than the euphoric buzzing at the back of his brain which came with her every touch.
“Here?” she asked, taking his left hand in hers while her other pressed harder on the spot where his fingers had been. Her brows furrowed in concentration while he egged her on, replying with a satisfied hum while he enjoyed the way her left hand seemed to unconsciously settle in his.
“And this one too,” Naruto whispered, slowly entwining her fingers in his as he brought their hands to a region closer to his chest. Her trained eyes seemed to focus on his needs alone; her right hand following and pressing, his actions not getting the desired effect.
He tried again, squeezing her fingers and placing her hand just above where she could feel his heart. “I meant here, Sakura. It’s feeling a bit weak and I can hardly breathe… I… I think I need…”
She raised her head to look at his face, and the amusement in his eyes quickly caught her attention as his little act had finally caught up to her. Idiot. She had been genuinely worried there.
“C…”
It was only then that she realized the pressure she was feeling on her left hand was caused by him.
“P…”
And he had the nerve to bring that up! STUPID IDIOT!
“OW!!!”
His head fell forward as her fist landed on the top of his head, almost bumping into her shoulder. She purposefully moved back, except he was still holding her hand.
“Oh come on, Sakura-chan…” he whined, rubbing the crown of his head. “You’d think after everything you’ve done for me this should be a piece of cake.” He emerged with big grin, obviously not sorry.
“Excuse me? What makes you think I can just administer CPR on a whim?”
“Why not? You did it for me once.”
“You’re life’s not in danger.”
“We can always pretend.”
“Maybe I should beat you to a pulp. That way we won’t have to.”
“Except you won’t be able to because you care about me a great deal I probably won’t even get to the point of half beaten.”
“My, you seem to know a lot about my feelings.”
“Well you did prove it through your actions… and you did kinda confess before.”
“Wow. You’re certainly one to talk. Last I checked it was Sai who told me how you felt!” She suddenly pulled her hand away, more in shock at her tone and the words that had just come out of her mouth. They fell silent as a soft breeze entered the room, blowing her bangs aside to partially cover the seal on her forehead. She looked away, mentally cursing herself for having the nerve.
While he had a reply prepared beforehand, her sheer honesty had rendered him speechless. He never wavered in his love, not even once, but the simple truth began to sink in as he sat there, mouth agape, staring at the one person his whole being was devoted to – and the one person who had yet to hear from him.
“I’m sorry, Naruto. I didn’t mean to-“
“Don’t.”
Without another word, he got off the bed and picked her up in his arms. Ignoring her surprised yelp and tightening his hold, he stepped out the door with chakra-enhanced feet; bracing his whole body with the strength required, and ran as fast as he could to the top of the Hokage Mountain.
===
Naruto’s eyes focused for a moment on the village below; noisy and bustling with life. The vast space around them was liberating, as the light of the sun contrasted the cold breeze flowing around them. Now that he stood at the highest point in his beloved village carrying the love of his life, he had never felt braver. He looked down at her and smiled, his heart welling as he leaned in to plant a kiss on her forehead.
“I’ve always wanted to do that,” he whispered, his lips lingering above her seal. Their eyes met in a gaze of pure emotion, hearts unfolding before each other.
“I love you, Sakura-chan.”
He let out a deep breath and watched her eyes widen in response, green eyes glistening with tears. He couldn’t believe he had just said it, and maybe she couldn’t believe it either, but now that it had come out of his mouth he felt more in love than before.
“I love you,” he kissed her forehead again and she leaned onto him.
“I love you,” to her nose.
“I love you, I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU SAKURA-CHAN!” He was so happy he felt like he could burst, and, at the top of his voice, burst he did. “YOU HEAR THAT KONOHA??? I’M IN LOVE WITH SAKURA-CHAN!!!”
His voice rang loud and clear, and her heart wanted to keep hearing it, because his words felt like his warmth that surrounded her at that moment, and his voice like his strength that held her against the wind. She thought she had known love, and she thought she had felt it before. She was wrong. This was love, and this was nothing like she’d ever felt before. Her arms tightened around him and she drew him closer, lips curving into the most beautiful smile he had ever seen, she whispered in his ear.
“I love you too, Naruto.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Hey there. So, this was a collab onpenandpaper and I did a long time ago. The original is HERE with HORRIBLY DRAWN ART OMG. It hurt my eyes so much, that I decided to redo my work, except even more this time. To fit it into the story!
I know that you’ve recently lost motivation, and you know what? That’s perfectly ok. That ending was horrible, all of us took a hit. Everything we loved about our pairing was literally trashed.
So don’t worry if ya got to put everything on hiatus for a long time. Just someday, I’m hoping I’ll see more of the Highway AU. hurr hurr. Let’s pretend like Sakura is running away from her horrible ending, and Naruto is helping her out.
But anyway, hope ya like it!
Hey leportraitducadavre you know about Naruto the Last movie well if i am being honest when watching the movie to me it feels like everyone if everyone i mean sakura was forcing naruto to get with/fall in with hinata now i don't know about you or anyone but to me that's what it feels so what's your opinion sorry if i bother you.
There's nothing salvageable about that piece of media; the lore is wrong, they twist the canon material as they see fit to make their narrative work instead of putting the effort of fitting the narrative around the original setting like the fandom isn't even worth the effort (it isn't, not the fandom they tried to reach as they didn't care and they made it clear after its release how much they didn't).
They highlight unlikeable traits of the characters they want to "get rid of" because they didn't want to budge on the idea of "true and only love" the fandom wanted (Naruto could get over Sakura, people, and it would've been better than what you got) and desperately tried to downplay others actual toxic behavior only to make it worse (Hinata worrying about Naruto when someone close to her is dead/in danger again, it's like a joke).
Hinata obtained relevance and power that she never possessed during the manga, being known as the weakest ninja in the k-11 and having potential for nothing. Yet, instead of exploiting such things in their favor, making Naruto fall in love with her mundanity as a breeze of fresh air from all the violence he has to endure daily, they make her the "byakugan princess" (the fuck?) to give her some semblance of power.
Don't break a sweat about it, the movie is a piece of media solely made to exploit the fandom's wallets and continue to profit from a manga that had ended and was still popular back then; reason why Boruto exists as well.
What’s the point in bringing “Road to ninja” back again when this movie is basically about Sakura understanding Naruto’s pain, paralleling Narusaku to Minakushi and Naruto and Sakura being on “the longest date they ever had”?
企画・ストーリー・キャラクターデザインを原作者の岸本斉史先生が担当し、大ヒットを記録した「ROAD TO NINJA -NARUTO THE MOVIE-」が地上波初登場!お楽しみに!
The reason is possibly the negative outcome “Naruto: the Last” got from the fans while “Road to ninja” was the most popular and liked one. Fans in japan are angry, Sasuke fans are angry that their favorite character gets less screen time than a side character and a scarf, Sakura fans are angry because their favorite character is treated miserably, Naruto fans are angry because they cannot even recognise their favorite character anymore, Narusasu fans are pissed, Narusaku fans are pissed. My favorite tweet that describes how most japanese fans feel about NH is that “they are not celebrating it like they would do if another pairing was canon, they just try to accept it”. Are you still thinking that this movie isn’t shit?
