God the fact that Sky saying 'no, you won't' confirmed that it actually WAS her consciousness absorbed into the hexcore (rather than the hexcore wearing her face to manipulate Viktor), and that she knew he could never truly reciprocate what she felt for him. I'm gutted

After rewatching this scene, it appears there are alternate versions of Jayce converging into one. Throughout the scene, we can see how his memories converge with the present timeline. Each time he gets hit by a split version of himself, he remembers something that occurred in that timeline. He gets hit by a vision of Salo and suddenly remembers he's not supposed to walk. "How are you walking?"
The part that makes it clear that his memories are converging in real-time is when it affects his dialogue in the following line:
"I thought you were done with Hextech... [there's a beat where he gets hit with another memory] ... and me..."
Viktor observed that this wasn't the Jayce he knew. I think its because this version of Jayce has converged with multiple versions of himself that has witnessed multiple outcomes, so it's possible there's something he saw the we aren't privy to just yet. It's even possible there's a version of himself that respected Viktor's wish to die, or that there are multiple versions of Viktor he's spoken to.
