The way no one is talking about the movie's version of Regina/Renee's "Someone Gets Hurt" is criminal.
I mean the interactions with the frozen audience so only Regina and Aaron are moving, the almost hypnotic way Regina moves around the room priming Aaron, the lighting, and the overall vibes is 🤌 chef's kiss
Like I need an animatic of a siren character to this song please and thanks

i haven’t seen anyone talk about this yet, but something that really struck me during the kiss scene was just how human it was. i’ve posted meta before about crowley’s mental spiral in the moments leading up to it (which you can read here), but i didn’t really address how those emotions influenced the kiss itself. kissing is a distinctly human gesture—what use would angels or demons have for it in their respective dominions? we don’t even see it between gabriel and beelzebub, who seem to be on the same page as far as the romantic nature of their relationship is concerned. crowley kisses aziraphale because he wants to, but also because it symbolizes their shared love for humanity, which has shaped the bulk of their experience together. he kisses aziraphale because he’s desperate for him to acknowledge the unfathomable value of the bond that they’ve formed, and not just to acknowledge it but to choose it. the kiss isn’t exclusively a declaration of love, it’s a reminder of all that they have to lose, including their own precious humanity. they wouldn’t be where they are without each other and they wouldn’t be where they are without life on earth. so crowley shows aziraphale affection the human way, for perhaps the first time, as an ultimate act of devotion, and as a last-ditch effort at changing his mind. he’s appealing to the strongest part of him that ties them together

He's never hosted a meeting, ever. Why the change of heart? He's unpredictable. He's discovered his civic obligations.

All right we need to talk angel hierarchy cuz people get confised about it because archangels alone rank quite low:
However, most of the named archangels in good omens (and the bible) are not just archangels in actual Christian lore, they are also seraphim, which is the highest rank of angel. Gabriel, Michael, Uriel, Sandalphon? All seraphim. I believe Metatron is also (and yes that's a real biblical angel, sometimes also spelled Mattatron).
Non-seraphim archangels do rank low, yes. But the seraphim are on top. And principalities, which aziraphale was, are also quite low.
So becoming "supreme archangel" really means being elevated to top seraphim. He wouldn't be outranked by anyone except maybe Metatron because good omens puts him in a unique position as the Voice of God.

Good omens season 2 spoilers...
I think the reason i was so shocked with the kiss is because i spent so many years obsessed with Gotham's Penguin and Ed Nigma romance , waiting for a Kiss till the last episode, to only ending up beeing queerbaiting. So when the Crowley x Aziraphale kiss happend i just couldn't believe my eyes, it was so satisfying in a way even though it was heartbreaking

@neil-gaiman hi sir, absolutely adored the second season of Good Omens and loved the ending even though it broke me. So to distract me from the heart break I've been doing some biblical research and I was looking at the Hierarchy of angels and saw that principalities are above archangels , so why does Aziraphale answer to Gabriel and the rest of the archangels. Or is the hierarchy in the good omens universe different ? I'm not well versed in the bible so im just genuinely curious.
Anyway, thank you so much for this incredible ! 😊

You remember Jane Austen? Yeah. I'm not gonna forget her in a hurry, am I? The brains behind the 1810 Clerkenwell Diamond Robbery. Brandy smuggler. Master spy. What a piece of work. She wrote books. Novels. Jane? Austen? Yes! Whoa, bit of a dark horse. Novels, eh? Yes. They were very good. Good Omens (2019-) || Pride and Prejudice (2005)

the thing about good omens 2 is that i have never felt so loved by a piece of media before.
like, ofmd came fairly close, but neil literally knows us, he lives here with us and says hi in the halls and overhears us talking about what matters to us and trading theories and fantasizing about what we'd like to see. and he wrote this for us.
like, this could not more obviously be written for us. for us weird little queers who care so much about these two idiots.
every minute of this was written and crafted and performed to say we love you back. it wasn't made to be a hip tv show or to impress or entertain anyone except us, and you can see that everyone involved had a blast in the process, because they love these characters too.
it is just so kind, cliffhanger notwithstanding. this show grabbed me by the shoulders, looked me in the eye, and said i see you and i love you too. and that is so fucking extraordinary.
thank you, neil. thank you so much.
