I always remember this quote from Cheryl Strayed book Wild. It always stood out to me. We are made up of the stories we tell ourselves. It gives us identity. It is who we are. And Cheryl made it so easy for me to understand that i can change my story. I don’t have to believe the story that’s playing in my head. So I too decided a long time ago, that i was not a victim. Not of any circumstances, not of my experiences, not of my life. I was strong, brave and nothing could vanquish me.
