Summer 2018 Move-in Selection
Tumblr media
We are beginning our Summer 2018 waitlist process for apartment selection in June, July and August. Now is the time to submit any applications and application fees for review. Once your application, application fees and an Administrative fee of $200 are submitted, your place on the waiting list will be secured. *The $200 Administrative fee will be used as a credit toward your first month’s rent.*
How do I apply? Lease Holding applicants and Guarantors (Cosigners) are able to apply in person at our office, or online at: http://www.snyderparkapartments.com/online-forms.html
How much is the application fee? $35 per Applicant $20 per Guarantor $20 per Roommate
When should I pay the Administrative fee? The $200 Administrative fee should be submitted along with all applications to ensure a place on the waitlist.
When will I select an apartment? Apartment selection will begin between April-May and phone calls offers will be made to those on the waitlist.
I’m a student, why should I live off Campus? • Living off-campus certainly holds some advantages! For starters, off-campus apartments will likely afford you more space and more privacy. You might find yourself feeling more comfortable if you’re able to spread out and if you don’t have to share a bathroom with 20 floor-mates. Plus, it’s quite likely that your apartment will be much quieter than a dorm/residence hall. Hence, it’ll probably make a great place to study!
• Renting your own apartment also allows you to escape the “college bubble”. Your neighbors might be local families or young working professionals. And you may discover that they are a welcome change (and maybe a tad more mature) than your collegiate counterparts.
• Living off-campus also affords you the opportunity to get a deeper taste of independence and adulthood. You will be running your own (mini) household!
We look forward to hearing from you soon!

It is the responsibility of the residents to notify ALL guests of parking restrictions and ensure that all guests are parked in designated areas.
Parking fines may be charged to residents when guests park in violation of these restrictions. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please make sure all of the windows are locked.
Tumblr media
When you lock the windows, you are not only ensuring the window is closed all the way but you are also closing a tiny gap where the upper and lower parts of the window meet. These gaps cause the water to condense on the window panes. The cold dry air outside meets the warm moist air on the inside causing the water vapor to condense on the window.

Rent Vs. Buy
Renting at SnyderPark Village Advantages: • Cheaper than a mortgage payment • No maintenance costs • No multiyear commitment • No risk of home price depreciation • Heat, Hot & Cold Water, 24hr. Fitness Center included • Snow removal, lawn care included • Central location • Amherst School District • On-site Management • On-site Maintenance • Modern Kitchen • Air Conditioner
Buying Disadvantages: • Ownership is stressful! • If it breaks…you fix it! • Home prices may lose value • Can be foreclosed on and lose your home • Wait time/ expense for emergency repairs • Renovation costs • Moving expenses • Lawn care costs • Obtaining a mortgage (and finding a home) is a hassle • You must pay taxes and homeowners insurance • Total housing payment can be more expensive • Mortgage payment can rise (if an ARM) • Sizable down payment necessary • Maintenance costs can be excessive • You’re “stuck” in a home (long-term commitment) • Taxes and insurance generally rise • Your home can be damaged or destroyed (and not fully insured)
