another picture i drew as my contribution to @12daysofvictuuri  ^^

i designed the costumes without a clear idea in mind tbh, somewhere in the middle i decided to make one leg of the costume shorter; it should reach ‘till the knee but then when it was time to draw that i was like nope let the boys show us some more skin and made it way shorter hoping they are not freezing too muchXD 

i drew the lineart with photoshop, did basic coloring in painttool sai (color+shading) edited the coloring in photoshop (added special effect&patterns and edited color) and did the background in photoshop... victor and yuri wear the same costumes but with different colors; yuris is dark but colorful while victors is soft and elegant... originally the decorations on victors costume were in various pastel colors but the coloring looked awkward that way so i turned it blue instead... 

also; SORRY FOR MAKING YURIS FACE SO DERPY I KNOW IT RUINS THE ENTIRE THING BUT I JUST SIMPLY FAILED AT MY ATTEMPTS OF MAKING IT LESS DERPY

well the year is almost done and so is my december art (i highly doubt i’ll manage to finish another drawing this monthXD) so it’s time for the yearly summary of art meme thingy^^ please note that the works here are only previews since it wouldn’t look nice at all if i tried to squeze in the full drawings in thiese tiny boxes (not to mention all the problems with the format like damn most of my drawings are suqaresXD)

i already started to do more and more cell shading at the end of 2016 but 2017 was definitely the year i switched from “regular” shading to cell shading! sure i still have some pieces this year i didn’t use cell shading on but now i have cell shading FINALLY figured out and i’ll definitely use that as my main coloring method in future~
