I saw your post last night about the Florida Board of Medicine but was too tired to look into it, but now that I'm up I can't find anything recent on this. would just like to try to figure out if I'm being impacted, though I would not be surprised at all since this state is always pulling some bs 🙁 regardless, thanks for the info

Hi! Okay, so I’m going to put some links and info down below that might be helpful.

Here’s the Board of Medicine meeting agenda for Thursday (Nov. 30). It’s supposed to start at 3pm.

To summarize, it's a rule workshop to create permanent rules for standards of practice for minors, and mandatory standardized informed consent for gender-affirming prescriptions/procedures for minors AND adults. I usually watch these meetings for work (though I don't think I will for this one because of some scheduling stuff) and there is typically some kind of public comment, discussion, and then rule making.

You can watch the meeting live on the Florida Channel’s website. They broadcast government meetings all day, every day … when you go to this page on Thursday, it should have a list of meetings on one side of the page for that day, including the BOM meeting. Click it at/a little before 3pm.

Also worth noting, there is an ongoing lawsuit against the state of Florida because of these rules/SB 254. A judge ruled that the law can't be enforced on minors in that they can still receive care right now, but it CAN be enforced on adults because adult plaintiffs didn't prove they would be immediately irreparably harmed by the law. Which I have...many thoughts on, but I'll spare you.
