The boys had been playing in the yard for the betterpart of the last three hours, jumping and yelling, tossing lumps of crystalwhite at one another. Kevan smiled, staying in the cloisters, and raised hishead to stare into the blinding haze above. A few, thick flakes dusted his hair,winding through the corridor upon the wind, and he laughed to feel a few gracehis cheeks. He stepped into the yard, the crunch of snow beneath his boot loudand – He sucked in a gasp, surprised when it sunk to mid-calf, and just managedto catch himself against on an obliging bit of moss, hanging from the willowtree above. Sadly, said moss sent down several large deposits of icy ivory tohis shoulders, gifting him with its heavy burden.

The lion shuddered, shaking himself like a real best,and only ended up with it catching quite heavily in his beard. He chuckled,wiping it away with his black gloves, and raised jade eyes to see his sonsgalloping towards the garden. Kevan paused, tempted to follow, but… Spotted aparticular Lord making his way inside. He licked his lips, tasting the sweet,downy ice, and stooped to scoop at least severalhearty handfuls into his palms. Raising three sons had taught him how to compactit perfectly, into a tight, and large sphere of pure winter fury. He grinned,leaning back, carefully pooling his weight, and –

“Tywin!”

Kevan lurched his arm forward, nearly pullingmuscles as he sent the snowy blob forward. “Yes!” Perhaps, in hindsight, theexclamation was childish, but he couldn’t help the exhilaration that overtookhim the second it made perfect contact with his brother’s nose. He laughed,hearty and loud, clutching his sides as tears sprung into his vision, havingnothing to do with the cold. “You should have seen your… face…"

And in that moment, having paused to gaze upon hisbrother’s countenance he realized:

“I’ve made a mistake.” And promptly turned to sprinthis way into the garden.
