sometimes you post a poem to your instagram story because you want your crush will see it, and because you're lonely and desperate to connect to people in a way you can really feel (which, for you, is mostly poetry and music and wallowing in swelling emotion), but you don't know how to do that, so you just post poems to instagram. but then your sweet oddball ex-neighbour replies to the story and says they love you, and you realize humanity is holy and your crush doesn't matter--you have made connections in a way you can really feel! this is it right here! and it doesn't look how you thought it would, but that doesn't make it any less real, any less beautiful.
