Just as my name has meaning, I too will live my life with meaning. So you think I am nothing? Don’t worry about what I am now, For what I will be, I am gradually becoming. I will raise my head high wherever I go Because of my African pride, And nobody will take that away from me.

This material is called “Bamenda traditional regalia”. It is from the city of Bamenda is Cameroon. At least everyone from Cameroon has this article of clothing. It is worn to traditional weddings, baby showers, meetings, parties, and any event you can think of. If you ever see anyone with this on, they're representing 237!!!

This is called Suya. It is a spicy meat skewer which is a popular food item in West Africa. It is traditionally prepared by the Hausa people of northern Cameroon, Nigeria, Niger, and Ghana. Suya is generally made with beef strips. I LOVE SUYA ;)
