Since some of ya’ll seem to like old internet stuff, I figured I’d share these. I found an old backup from an ancient harddrive with old website data and screenshots of things I’d made circa 2000~2001. These are some Winamp skins that I made with a program called The Cyanide Shop. Was very cool at the time haha. XD (I was like 13~14, okay? lmfao) I took screenshots of them back then to post as “freebies” on one of my first websites to share with friends and fellow anime fans that liked Winamp. No idea if the actual skins are anywhere on here.
I know I had a bunch more besides these, but this was the only remaining images I can seem to find;; Among them were a dozen or so Gundam Wing and DBZ skins as well. If I can get those to work for a shot, I’ll post ‘em. :’)
Tagging some people that I know who post/reblog some old internet stuff. :) Not sure if this is up your alley or not, but I saw some of you guys post similar content. Gonna be posting a lot of ancient trash after this. xD

It has come to my attention that people don’t really know what Tails gets Trolled is. Let me break it down for you:
You probably recognize some of these images. Well, they’re all from the same comic called Tails gets Trolled.
Anyway, Tails gets Trolled is a 100% genuine effort, there’s no secret about who wrote it or what the intentions were behind it. This is somebody’s real thoughts on trolls and how to handle them. This includes murdering all of them and eventually killing their leader the Troll King.
Started in October of 2011 this comic has spawned Something Awful threads, Urban Dictionary entries, and know your meme pages galore. Recently I’ve seen a lot of the panels used as reaction images here on Tumblr, but no one seems to actually know what they’re from. Well, now you know.
This off-the-walls, hyper-escalating wild ride of a webcomic is absolutely worth your time, and you can check it out at tailsgetstrolled.com
Now bask in your newly found knowledge of terrible internet memes, and remember:

The Nokia 3310 is a GSM mobile phone announced on September 1, 2000. The phone sold extremely well, being one of the most successful phones with 126 million units sold worldwide. The phone is still widely acclaimed today, and has gained a cult status due to its durability.
On 14 February 2017, it was reported that a modernised version of the 3310 would be unveiled at the 2017 Mobile World Congress by HMD Global Oy.

Okay, so no lie, it started when a Swedish teenager recorded himself making motorcycle noises in 1997 and sped up the recording and it went mini-viral, and then seven years later an unrelated animator made this video to go with the audio. Then a ringtone company bought it and started cranking out stupid dance mixes with videos as advertising, starting with “Axel F” from “Beverly Hills Cop”, for some reason.

Happy 35th birthday Tetris! The game was introduced on June 6, 1984.
Tetris was created by Soviet IT engineer Alexey Pazhitnov. It was based on the game of Pentamino that he read about in ‘Science and Life’ magazine. Pazhitnov wrote the game for Electronika-60 computer, it was then customized for IBM PC by 16 y.o. Vadim Gerasimov.
When I was a kid, I had portable Tetris and spent hours playing it. Have you ever played Tetris (in any form)?

Digital Equipment Corporation’s PDP-1, 1959.
It only sold 59 units, but it was one of the most influential computers ever designed, as it had a terminal you sat down at instead of requiring a staff to fiddle with punchcards. All 59 units were sold to academia or smaller buyers, so it encouraged tinkering.

In 1886, the Harvard Observatory hired a team of women known as the ‘Harvard Computers.’ According to legend, the director was fed up with his male workers and said his maid could do a better job, so he hired her, along with other women, so he could pay them at a lower wage. They outperformed the men, had more precise calculations, invented new systems for classifying stars, and changed the face of astronomy. Source Source 2

Screenshots of the ILOVEYOU virus, created in the 2000′s and considered to be one of the first early worms to gain widespread media notoriety. It spread across the internet by masquerading as an emailed “love letter” from an acquaintance. If opened, the attached .vbs file would copy itself, add files to your registry, and send copies through IRC and email. Producing over 15 billion in damages overall (and 5.5 billion in the first week alone) the suspected creator of the virus, Onel de Guzman-- was unable to be prosecuted due to insufficient evidence and lack of computer espionage laws in the Philippines at that time. Guzman would not confirm or deny his involvement with the creation of the virus, and maintains that mystery to this day. Source Source 2
