Preference: How They React When You’re Sad

request: hello love could you do a head cannon prefrence thing with all of Evans characters and possibly violet of how they are chill with you or how they comfort you when your sad

Tate (post-death)

tate would definitely cuddle with you and ask what it is that made you sad.  whatever the thing was he would say that he hated that thing and that you are so amazing and it’s just that the world can’t comprehend that.  if you cried, he’d definitely cry too, as he is incredibly attached to you.  ultimately it would probably end in you watching a movie and him running his fingers through your hair as you fall asleep.

Kit

kit is an absolute sweetheart.  he would listen so intently to everything you have to say.  he would always know just what to say.  he’d validate all of your feelings at the same time making sure that you know that you know how wonderful you are and that no matter what anyone says about you the world is wrong.  he’d rub your back and have you sit on the couch with a blanket, then he’d get you tea/coffee/hot chocolate, and sit with you as long as you want listening to your favorite records with him singing them softly in your ear.

Kyle (post-death)

kyle would do his best to listen and understand.  he wouldn’t always be able to say the right thing but his heart is always in the right place.  he’d stare at you with his wide eyes and do his best to repeat what you say so you know he’s listening, “s-sad, hu-hurt”.  he may not be able to talk but he’d be amazing at comforting you.  he’d grab you and cradle you against his chest protectively.  “love” he’d kiss you “per-perfect”

Jimmy

jimmy would be very protective.  he’d initially be very angry at whatever/whoever hurt you, then when he saw that you were so genuinely hurt he’d forget that and tend to you.  telling you how you are the best damn woman he’s ever met.  he’d get you whatever you wanted, even if it meant going into town to get you french fries, and he’d sit with you and listen, trying to give you the best support he can

James

when james saw how distraught you looked he’d immediately feel bad, thinking he caused it, “dearest, have- have i done something?” when you explain that you are hurt james would become furious and kill whoever made you so sad.  he’d come back and tell you he has eliminated the issue and he’d hold you as you cry telling you how you mean the world to him and he wants to give you everything you could wish for

Violet

violet would pick up on your sadness immediately, “what happened? tell me please”  you’d tell her about how some kid at school picked on you or something and she’d tell you flat out that they are idiots and it’s just because you are so special that they are mean to you.  she’d trash talk whoever you wanted to rant about and she’d play your favorite music and cuddle you, as the big spoon, and stroke your hair soothingly
