I think my self esteem has been getting better to the point where I can accept that I'm a good friend from a distance, but there's still an enormous fear of letting anyone in closer than that. like it'd be selfish or something. this is partly about romantic feelings but with acquaintances I still can't shake the general fear of """bothering""" with simple interaction.
