Having fallen into one of those slumbers where one’s concept of time had been totally lost, Violet couldn’t figure out how much time she had slept off when she was being awakened by Pearl. Judging by her girlfriend’s freshly glam state, she was willing to guess an approximate of 30 minutes. “I just have to change and I already have an outfit picked out” was Violet’s meek reply, the typical defensiveness in her tone not present thanks to how groggy and disoriented she still was post-nap. Padding into the spare room, she immediately tore the garment she had hung on one of the hangers earlier and proceeded to shimmy into it. Much like most of Violet’s wardrobe, it wasn’t a true off the rack piece. I mean, its original form was but she had tailored and tinkered with it to her liking. What was one a simplistic and staple mini dress was now a couture gown with glitzy accents that was sure to stop traffic. Not that she really needed to dedicate effort into her clothing when it came to the divine objection of turning heads - a stunning visage and physique like hers did enough of that on its own.
Returning to the living room dressed to the nines, Violet couldn’t resist but strut forward as if her girlfriend was standing at the very end of a catwalk at Paris Fashion Week. While Pearl gagged, Violet giggled profusely. To put the dress on full display, she grabbed Pearl’s hand, raised it up and twisted herself around so it could be marvelled at every conceivable angle. The Christian Louboutins that she had borrowed from Fame clinked underneath her with every calculated and swift movement - most likely scratching the hardwood unapologetically. “Okay, lemme know when you catch your breath,” She kidded, blowing her a kiss as she carefully untangled herself from her hold. “In the meantime though, I figured we’d bust open Fame’s liquor cabinet and pre as a homage to how we got turnt in high school-“ Realizing that she had used the term ‘we’, she corrected herself. “Well, how /I/ would get turnt in high school. Or better yet I guess, how we would spend most of our ‘sleepovers.’” Rummaging through Fame’s stash, she pulled out a plus sized bottle of Grey Goose, having to forcibly ignore the European wine that seemed to be calling her name. “We should do shots because it’ll get the job done quicker and there’s no way we’re paying for $12 shots at the club. Plus, we can’t technically drink anyways since we’re not of age.” Rolling her eyes, she poured the two of them a shot each in the fancy glasses she had found earlier in the cupboard. Despite how smooth she had heard Grey Goose to be, she could still feel her stomach swell with dread as she looked down at her poison. “Um, should we make this interesting and play a drinking game or something? I would suggest one but all the ones I learned from parties either involved cards or like 10 other people, so….”

Being cut off by her girlfriend’s own reassurance that she wasn’t behind on their schedule that’d be forgotten almost completely, which was more or less Violet’s polite way off telling the blonde to shut up and stop her rambling but without actually saying it outright, Pearl seemed to let out a quiet breath that she hadn’t even realised she was holding; automatically leaning in to the peck to her cheek with eyes fluttering closed and a wave of relief washing over her, despite the fact that the display of affection was over in seconds. Nodding in understanding as the younger explained herself, she happily accepted the pizza with a grin and a glint in her eyes - hunger making itself suddenly apparent in the presence of food. “You’re the best, Vi..” the older practically sighed out, returning the favour of a quick kiss to the cheek in thanks before returning to her the breakfast bar aka her work station for the day and beginning to pack away her things whilst simultaneously demolishing the pizza before her; Violet may have assured that there was no rush, but the sooner she got out of this apartment? The better.
Shooting one last smile towards Violet, though it was more for herself as she admired the younger girl’s adorably curled up figure on the sofa seeing as the brunette was practically already unconscious, the sleepwalker disappeared into the guest bedroom where they’d been staying and began her preparations. With time seeming to fly by as she got ready, probably due to the lack of distraction known as her girlfriend thanks to the fact that she’d barely even stirred since falling to sleep, Pearl gave herself one last look over in the mirror that covered the entire wall of the bedroom - keeping it minimalistic in cropped black trousers and a matching top featuring embroidered floral details, alongside her usual long ponytail and simple makeup, the blonde knew she would no doubt be dressed down in comparison to Violet, but she was beginning not to mind at this point. Following one last spritz of perfume borrowed from the burlesque lover, she made her way over to where the younger was still sleeping soundly; waking her with a gentle nudge and the quiet murmur of her pet name. “Pumpkin..” Pearl tried again, a smile tugging at her painted lips this time as the other girl’s eyes finally fluttered open sleepily; pressing a soft kiss to her forehead in greeting again. “You gonna go get ready now, or am I going to have put /all/ this effort in for no reason?”

Not to sound so tragically cliché but there truly was something so gratifying about coming home after a day loaded of hustling. Violet's day in particular had started early and had ended a whole lot later than she would have preferred. Still, none of the festivities that transpired the night prior had her feeling any ounce of regret for staying up way past her bedtime. In fact, it's what had her smiling spontaneously throughout those gruelling lectures, motivating her to just get through those final check points so she could finally turn herself in for the night. Or at least that's what she had initially thought before remembering they had made alternative plans. Suddenly craving that mid-evening nap more than ever before, Violet decided she would glam up during her hour and a half long break so she would at least get that chore out of the way. She looked beyond extra using the girl's washroom on the third floor of her program's building as her own personal vanity but she knew it would be worth it in the end.
When a distraught looking Pearl had first seen her in full beat, she couldn't help but laugh at how overwhelmingly flustered she had gotten for misunderstanding the timeline for tonight. "Relax I'm ready early," Violet assured, kissing her girlfriend's cheek as she allowed herself in. "I just thought I'd get this out of the way so I could take a power nap while you get ready." Before she took her rightful place on the couch, she gifted the wrapped food she had in her hand, presenting itself like a pretty parcel. "Oh and I also got you a slice of pepperoni on my way here. I know I said I'm sick of pizza but I know you're not and we really should carb up if we're going out." Smiling sheepishly, she then waltzed over to the couch and plopped herself onto the cushions, snuggling in as deep as she could go. "Take as long as you want," Violet encouraged, her sleepy eyes already falling shut. "Seriously....there's no....rush..."

After waking up to an empty spot beside her on the bed and a feeling of coolness on her skin that would’ve been warmed had her girlfriend still been there when the clock struck just past midday, Pearl almost instantaneously pouted at the lack of company though rationalised it as the brunette probably having gone to her class of the day, and could only curse herself for not having woken up earlier to at least say bye to her before she left too. Was it really any surprise that she was exhausted though after what had transpired the night before?
Shuffling out of bed begrudgingly and going about her usual morning routine despite the fact that it was no longer morning, the older girl showered in record time and then settled beside her laptop at the kitchen breakfast counter with a plate of last nights takeout leftovers unashamedly; the mouth-watering food being the only thing that she believed would keep her going all day as she worked through paper after paper and quiz after quiz - a migraine already beginning to make itself known in the back of her head thanks to the information overload. Before she knew it, the rays of sun beaming through the big glass windows of the apartment were already beginning to dim and a knock on the door was the only thing snapping her out of the work-induced trance. Adjusting her glasses that’d begun slipping and brushing a few fallen strands of hair from her face, Pearl made her way to the door and swung it open - being greeted by her girlfriend who was already halfway ready to being full glam with her makeup and hair done to perfection. Raising an eyebrow inquisitively, it took a few seconds for the realisation to hit the sleepwalker properly. “Fuck..” she cussed herself, rambling on “I totally forgot we were going out tonight.. I’ve just been working all day and I’m still super sleepy but I’ve already showered so I can probably get ready in time and-”

"Fuck Pearl," Violet breathily cussed, followed closely by an additional plethora of profanities that weren't the least bit coherent. The combined efforts of the blonde's skilled tongue and fingers had her feeling as if her soul had departed her body and was transcending time and space. Needless to say, it felt surreal - like an erotic fantasy that she couldn't quite convince herself was actually reality. It was magical how she knew how to both simultaneously ruin and save her like this. At another plunge to her clit, Violet could feel herself edging close to her climax. While her hips buckled and the tears in her eyes pooled, she mustered with what minimal energy left to tug at the older's hair in warning. "I'm close, I'm close, I'm close-" She alerted in short pants, her fingernails indenting themselves in Pearl's scalp. "Fuck, I'm gonna-" And with that, she proceeded with her final bow of a piercing moan and came harder than she ever had before. Though out of breath and dizzied from that overwhelming episode of erotica, she knew that it wasn't time to call it a night. Springing forward, she swapped positions with a tired-eyed and flushed-faced Pearl. The wicked smirk that graced the vixen's face seemed to scream she was ready to return the favour.
~*~*~*~
Nothing really beat hot and heavy, passionate sex but as far as Violet was concerned, vibing -and cuddling in a cloud of post-orgasm bliss was a fierce contender. Craving further relaxation, the two were now smoking the rest of the weed in bed. Their former hesitations about blazing in Fame's apartment had been put to rest when Violet insisted that they could easily get rid of the stench before the model returned. Or at least she hoped. Either way, that seemed like tomorrow's problem and she for one was too wrapped up in the here and now. Taking her final hit, she set the pipe on the nightstand as she watched the smoke swirl away into dusky nothingness. Falling back onto Pearl's bare chest, she looped an arm around her and let loose a sleepy yawn. "Mmmm, did I mention how unreal you are and how I'm in awe that I've never had to fake it with you? Not even once..." She giggled - obviously the weed had broken down her filter. Nuzzling her face into the older's hair, she whispered; "Y'know as much as I would be down to do this and only this every night we're here, we really should go out one day this week. Maybe we could go to that drag bar Fame was suggesting? I mean, that actually did sound fun and tomorrow's a Friday night so we could always check it out tomorrow..."

Fatigue was considerably visible on the blonde, but it was apparently not a force mighty enough to send her to sleep just yet. It seemed as if she had unfinished business to tend to, and Violet for one, certainly wasn't complaining. Though interesting enough, she was oozing out pathetic noises - but none of which were objecting. Pressing her head harder into the pillow, she attempted her to ground herself, but to no successful avail since she was taking flight under Pearl's touch. Her breath clogged in her throat as she felt another finger enter her, both now plunging deeper than before. Violet's back curled upwards by impulse, the sensation hitting her everywhere and having her see stars. The charade of subtlety and resistance was bound to collapse soon, and it was truly only a matter of time before mercy was being beckoned and she was surrendering herself completely.
Apparently that time had come faster than anticipated, for Violet was detaching Pearl momentarily so she could strip herself of her lacy panties completely. Next she was opening her legs wide, flexibility paying off as better access was given. She hadn't demanded it but at this point? There was truly no need. Slightly sweaty palms finding Pearl's cheek, she crashed their lips against one another's, her persistent neediness translated through the way she rocked her hips and grinded herself up against the girl above her. When they finally broke away, a sultry smile alit her gentle features. Though the darkness casted shadows, the naughty glint in her eyes managed to pierce through the night. She wore a look that she knew too well fuelled wet dreams - not to mention guaranteed everything she could never want. And right now, what she wanted...well, it was profoundly obvious.

"I love you too," Violet murmured into the cavity of Pearl's mouth, her breath stilling slightly. She then resumed to kissing her tenderly, hips rocking and grinding against one another's. The friction was warming her core and revving her pulse - yet there was still no relentless urgency to take things further. As far as she was concerned, they had all the time in the world and they could more than afford to take it slow. And that's exactly what they did - take things slow. So slow, in fact; it seemed everything seemed to freeze around them as they kissed, even time itself. It wasn't clear to her what had pulled her out of this lulling trance, but the realization had only led to her erupting into giggles. Of course, that was probably also a sure-fire side-effect to the half a gram she smoked out earlier.
"Oh my god...how long have we been making out for?" It was obviously rhetoric, even her tone made it seem like it was barely a question. Both had hopelessly lost their concept of time and even a rough estimate couldn't be conjured up. Sitting up on Pearl's lap and peaking up above the covers, she peered out the window to see if there were any signs of the sun rising. Naturally, they hadn't been in their bubble for /that/ long, but she personally wouldn't have been shocked if they had kissed the night away. Nuzzling her face into the crook of the older's neck, she pressed a kiss to the edge of her jaw and then sighed out. "Should I finally let you sleep now or...should we find ways to tire ourselves out some more?" Needing both her consent and continued interest to be cleared, she kissed up her cheek until she landed on her ear, practically purring; "Yourrrrr call."

It hadn't mattered that the transition from a smoking sesh to a make-out sesh had happened faster than anticipated, Violet was already soaring pretty high even before the pipe had been discarded. Perhaps it was because she was out of practice or that she was more susceptible thanks to her petite mass and low tolerance...or that she was being kissed breathless and touched all over in ways that had her body, soul and mind screaming out. If she had to place her bets anywhere, it would have definitely gone to the latter. Things weren't heating up to their usual careless speed, but there was still a lot of deep breathing and racing heart rates involved - despite how mellow she also felt. Rising to her feet, her head seemed to be dizzying slightly out of orbit but to be not totally grounded was something she couldn't bring herself to mind. Finding the abandoned pipe, she smoked out the remaining fuel and watched as it spiralled as one into the night wind.
"Let's go to bed," She whispered softly to Pearl, but despite simply leading her out by taking her hand, she was instead lifting her up and carrying her away. Her upper body strength may not have been in its prime after everything she'd recklessly indulged in tonight, but she was careful to not even wobble as she wouldn't settle on the blond feeling even slightly unsafe in her arms. Setting her down onto the guest bed with the utmost gentleness, she then crawled onto the mattress herself, taking her rightful place beside her. For a moment, she found herself staring - just drinking the other girl in, despite her face being eclipsed by the darkness of the room. But even though there were shadows casted everywhere, her beauty still manage to shine through. Giggling, Violet leaned in to kiss her again and even as it deepened, time itself seemed to stand still and the whole world seemed to fall silent. Violet pressed her hand against the older's heart, feeling it pulse rapidly beneath her finger tips. Smiling, she tucked her hands in to discard them both of their shirts - their bras joining the dispatched tops soon after so they could finally lay chest to chest.

"Um excuse me," Violet mocking gasped, hand to her heart. "I implied none of that. That was all you." Giggling as Pearl bid her a temporary farewell so she could change into comfier clothes, she leaned in to steal one more kiss for the road before disappearing out on Fame's balcony with the pot in hand. The view of the New York skyline was breath taking to say the least - like one that felt surreal seeing in person instead of behind the screen of cutesy Tumblr aesthetic blogs. Violet didn't even indulge in cigarettes so she wasn't exactly a pro when it came to smoking of any variety. Something she was a natural at though was looking effortlessly cool, so the moment she lit the dart up and stuck in between pouty pink lips, she looked as if she'd been doing it her whole life. She honestly hated how sexy she found the practice and how it made beautiful people appear all the more alluring and mysterious.
It hadn't been long until Pearl came out to join her - looking adorably cozy in her sleep wear and round-rimmed glasses. Violet was mid-drag when Pearl informed her of how much the blonde had managed to rub off on her, causing the smoke to blow out into a scoff. "I think there's a name for that actually. Lesbian by death bed," She reckoned, passing the pipe over to Pearl along with the lighter. Pulling out her phone to double-check the slang definition, she took a seat onto Pearl's lap, craving further intimacy and that skin-on-skin contact. "Fuck. It actually just means that when two lesbians are together long enough, all sexual and romantic energy evaporates and then they basically just become besties. I totally thought it meant they like, merged into one person." Pouting in fake disappointment, she plucked the pipe back into her old hold and lit it up. "Guess I'm not as in-tune with the lesbian lingo as I thought." Instead of exhaling the smoke out into the open air, she turned and tilted Pearl's chin up towards her, shotgunning the marijuana clouds into her gaped mouth. Though there was a transmission of warmth, she could feel the older shiver slightly, which only caused her to smirk coyly.

The guilt festered in the pit of her stomach as she was blindly praised for taking the high road and making amends with Fame. All Violet could do was smile sweetly, not wanting to agree since that would only be another offence against the truth. Really though, she did have plans to smooth things over with her best friend - it just simply wasn't an effort she had pursued with urgency....or y'know /at all./ "Actually it was Matt," Violet sighed, knowing Pearl wouldn't like that answer but figuring she had learned to appreciate the honesty. "That I can tell you is not important." She hadn't added "this, right now with you, /is/" but her eyes seemed to say it for her. As they devoured the rest of their meal, the chatter was a lot more lively and organic, their holds on one another's hands never breaking being a lovely touch.
Two or so helpings and a glass of wine later, Violet was gathering all the styrofoam plates and take-out boxes to discard. Both her belly and her heart were full and she was actually not so opposed to that nap Pearl had alluded to earlier. She did, however; remember something else that she hadn't necessarily been saving for an after-dinner occasion, but she still presumed it was as good of a time as any. "So I know you're ready to be Granny and hit the hay before 9 buuuuuuuuut...I figured we could not be totally lame and...." Pulling out the bagged clove of weed she had stowed away in her purse - as well as the accompanying lighter and pipe, she smiled demurely but with a subtle hint of danger. "We have to go out on the balcony though obviously since Fame would literally murder me if she knew were smoking anywhere near her apartment but....she doesn't have to know." Even though she was wise enough to know Pearl didn't require further selling, she couldn't resist pressing her palms against her thighs and leaning in for a sweet and slow kiss. "And then we can sleep, I promise..."

The house wife comment oddly had Violet smirking pridefully. Though she knew that in any domestic situation, she wouldn’t settle for anything less than the moneymaker, there was something adorably charming about this dynamic they had going right now and felt good to give rather than to always receive. She did frown slightly at Pearl’s reasoning for opting for just water. “I didn’t mean you were putting on weight,” Violet clarified, bringing her the glass she had poured for her of the boogie bottled water she had found in the fridge. “I meant if you keep starving yourself because you’re too busy with other stuff, you’re gonna /lose/ weight and lose energy….and there’s nothing glamorous about unnatural weight loss, trust me.” Her tone hadn’t been harsh - nor was her intent. If anything, she was just mildly concerned.
Speaking of concern, that's one of the wide litany of feelings that Violet experienced when she was questioned on having patched things up with Fame yet or not. This could have very well broken out into a new argument - in turn, tarnishing their night. So she lied - well half-lied. "No I haven't. I tried calling her but she probably didn't have service or whatever because she was flying. I will though." That part at least was true - she would have to confront Fame eventually, despite how severely she was dreading it. Parking herself in the seat opposing Pearl, she dug into her meal, feeling an eerie wave of silence wash over them both. One that was only interrupted when her phone began to buzz with an incoming call from Matt. With cat-like reflexes, she reached for the cell and immediately hit the "ignore button" sentencing her call straight to voicemail. "So, how did the project with Adore go anyways?" She asked meekly, resting her chin on the palm of her hands.

It wasn't clear to Violet whether Pearl was still holding grudges over their last dispute when it came to the lack of enthusiasm and force of resistance. Though she usually wasn't one to back down, she was too fatigued to suit up for war - especially when it was a battle she didn't think was worth fighting. So for good measure, she decided that it was best to just kill her with kindness. "Well I ordered like enough food for leftovers so you should be good," She replied with a soft smile, sounding cheery but not /artificially/ cheery. "But you should be eating better, babe. Don't let college win - the Anti-Freshmen 15 is just as real as the original."
The elevator then dinged - signalling them that they had arrived on Fame's floor. Luggage in one hand, take-out in the other, she promenaded to the respected door, Pearl trailing closely behind. When they got there, she stood by the frame and waited for Pearl to unlock it since she was the one with the keys after all. Stepping in after they had succeeded in entry, she breathed in the blissful quiet air, relishing in the fact that this was home for the next week and two days. /Their/ home to be exact. Setting their bags down by the door, she threw off her shoes and then made way to the kitchen. There she proceeded to set out all the Thai food she had purchased on her way over here - not bothering to break out Fame's fancy china since that called for a more demanding clean-up after. The instant Pearl had wandered over, Violet was already handing her a plate that she had made up for her, pairing it with a smile. "Do you want anything to drink?" She called out, after pulling out a chair for Pearl to sit at the breakfast bar. "Fame doesn't drink so her booze collection is solely designed to show off to guests and it's like, unreal-"

I Think We're Alone Now || Pearlet
Maybe she was getting ahead of herself here but Violet had soared into pretty high spirits after her resolved lovers' quarrel with her girlfriend. Except...had things really been resolved? I mean, they seemed to miraculously be on good terms again - eager to continue the honeymoon period of their relationship with a week long getaway - but this issues could very well come up again, for they really hadn't worked for or settled on any sort of solution or comprise. Perhaps it was a flawed mindset to have but right now? Violet wasn't going to question it. She'll just live out the rest this week until their paradise inevitably turned into a war zone. It was not a healthy way to go about things but at least this way, she'll squeeze in some good times before it all went to shit. Surprisingly enough, Violet was the first to arrive. Typically a place like this was under such rigid security even the front lobby was locked, but the doorman had obviously recognized her and even if he didn't? She could probably charm her way in so she didn't have to stand out in the cold. Lounging on the gorgeously designed sofa, oversized suitcase by her side, she waited impatiently for the older girl to get her. Though she had the keys that let her into the lobby, the doorman had given her a suspicious look when she entered, bags and all. "Don't worry," She assured, grabbing Pearl by her free hand. "She's with me." Moments later, they were in the elevator, climbing the stories to the upper level Fame's apartment resided on. "You ready for this?" Violet challenged, a sparkle glistening wildly in her dark eyes. Unzipping her hoodie slightly, she revealed a peak-a-boo of lace, which made it unclear as to whether she was referring to the apartment stay or /her./
