Give yourself some time to feel useless, you can be angry later. You probably are angry now, but it's hard to feel past the unease and uncertainty and fear that you are probably feeling.

Besides, I'm not sure that anger is all that productive. You don't have to be angry, you just have to care about people. If you can't get motivated by getting mad, get your motivation from wanting to help someone else.
