He couldn’t help but chuckle before kissing back.

There is no one else I want in the world by my side, as both a retainer and as my spouse.” He continued to smile, “To me, there is no Prince Xander without his beloved Prince Inigo.” ✧✦

Inigo felt his chest tighten in a warmth he only felt with the other, and tears began streaming down his own face, one hand letting go of Xander’s to wipe them away.

Right. Now all eyes were on him. Inigo couldn’t help but chuckle nervously and clearing his throat. He looked up at the other, taking his hands in his own tightly. “Xander... for the longest time I feared... I would never truly find love, for many different reasons. I was scared, what if I lost control of my emotions, what if I messed up.... But then I met you. I became your retainer, and all those what ifs happened, and you stayed by my side. As you did, I saw sides of you others didn’t.... sides that... I found I adored. And I want to be the one who sees those sides of you all the time.... and you’re allowing that dream to happen. I swear not only to live for you, but to love you, and for you alone.” He couldn’t stop shaking, a mix of excitement and nerves showing themselves.

✦✧   “I haven’t had to officiate a wedding in years.” Garon looked over the lines, huffing a bit as he paced back and forth. He knew the wedding would start soon, Xander already by his side and looking at the other. ✧✦

✦✧   “Father, you appear more nervous than I do.”   “Of course I am! This is my oldest son’s wedding!” Garon hissed before the door opened. He got into spot, waiting for Inigo to walk down the aisle. ✧✦

Inigo took a deep breathe when he finally stopped pacing, looking over at his father before walking to his side. “It’s... time right?” He asked, beginning to walk towards the entrance. When he saw Xander standing at the front, he felt his heart stop, and before he knew it, he was standing there, at the alter.

✦✧   As soon as Inigo walked through the portal to Ylisse, Henry was hugging him, squishing the other’s cheeks, “My son is getting married! I’m so proud of you! Though.. none of us thought he’d actually choose date, nyaha! Chrom had to hold me back from going there to whack Xander on the head!”

“Well, I’m just as much to blame, father.” He laughed a bit before looking down. “I didn’t.... really help decide a date.”

He turned a bit, moving out of the way as Henry threw his arms around his son. “Well, looks like it’s time for you to spend time with your family.”

Laslow smiled at the other, chuckling as he felt his father hug him. “..... Of course... See you soon, Love.” He said, walking to the portal with his father.
