The Truest of Truest fan of Pathologic can finally brag about having experience of eating KURUT.

Its texture makes these balls convenient to carry around. They also seem to be very nutritious. I can see why this kind of food is prefered by odonghs.

The only (and quite severe) disadvanage is its salty taste. I don't have enough vocabulary in any languages I know to express the saltiness of it. It's like you bite crumbly piece of plain salt.

Well, if it really was good, Kazakhstan (where I'm currently staying :) people would probably be more proud of this dish.

Here are some other forms of kurut. That bucket with lolipop-shaped things is also kurut :)
