Riced Cauliflower

So I had a bag of frozen cauliflower florets and I had no idea what to do with it. I originally bought it to try to make pizza crust... well that was a total FAIL!
I did some cauliflower research and found a lot on riced cauliflower but most were for fresh cauliflower. So I decided to try some recipes with my frozen cauliflower. Long story short it was a HIT!
How to rice cauliflower:
1. Fresh or frozen make the cauliflower into small florets.
2. Use a food processor or blender on low setting. Put the florets in and pulse until its the size of a small rice grain.
Fried Cauliflower Rice:
1. Sautee some garlic & onion
2. Add extra oil
3. Add the riced cauliflower. Leave it till the bottom gets slightly brown.
4. Mix
5. Add mixed veggies or bacon, or other toppings.
6. Add seasoning and/or soy sauce
Enjoy!

Starting Again...
It’s been a good month or two since I’ve fully committed to NutriSytem. The first month or so I was really into Nutrisystem and then Thanksgiving and Christmas came. Come this past month and I wasn’t eating much Nutrisystem but wasn’t over eating regular food. Overall I’ve lost 14 lbs. Looking to get back into the “healthy” weight range. I set my goal for the higher end, to start. So 15lbs to go! Once I get my eating schedule back I will slowly start adding exercise aside from meet my Fitbit goals (10,000 steps).

Metabolism-Boosting Iced Tea

Iced Ginger-Green Tea
Both green tea and ginger have fat-blasting properties. The green tea contains nutrients that help block fat absorption. And both the tea and ginger help raise metabolism and help your body utilize carbs more efficiently.
Ingredients
12 quarter-inch slices of fresh ginger
4 tbsp loose green tea or 12 bags
3 cups water
Directions
Bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat and let the tea and ginger soak in the boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags or leaves and pour the concentrated tea into a jug. Fill the rest of the jug with cool water. Put the tea in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to chill. Then enjoy!

Going to buy an infusion pitcher to keep the tea and ginger separated from the water. Also might add stevia to sweeten it up.

New Lifestyle...

I want to be more aware of what I am putting into my body. Meaning less to eventually, no junk food, but instead healthier food. My goal is to eat better and get back to 100 lb. I gained 30 lbs. while having 3 babies back to back... not too bad for 3 kids. I plan to use as much organic foods, and Non-GMO foods as much as possible. This isn't a diet it is a lifestyle. Stay tune for recipes and updates.
