The nest was on the pavement.  A windfall nest of moss and grass, catkins, blossom, feathers and wool. There were some dandelion seeds caught in it. Nest as net and as lost home. Still holding the shape to hold.

Naming
Walking up the vicarage fields path I found myself asking a deep purple flower I hadn't seen before, who are you? I  tried to take note by thought and by photo of what they looked like so I could find their name in a book or online and then next time I see them I will say ah, it's …. Who are you is different question to what are you. When I meet someone new I introduce myself and ask their name. You can't be friends without knowing names, there can be no relationship, no intimacy.

Monday school run, every photo I took was a blurry as my early-morning vision, but where there were daffodils just a few weeks ago and then lesser celandine, now there are buttercups, dandelions, broom, tufted vetch, clover and oxeye daisies catching the sun.
