A house painter’s quirky vintage home even has a headless statue of Christ hanging in the hallway, which is the first piece he and his wife bought together.

Submission Friday:
Jessica Poundstone, Color Space 27
I’m Jessica Poundstone, an artist living and working in Portland, Oregon. This image is Color Space 27, which is part of a series of images titled Color Space. In the series, I’m exploring the meditative and immersive power of shapes, space and color. These images are meant to be contemplative - a way to move for a moment to a different space out of time, to take a breath, to re-center, re-imagine and restore; to consider and to create new thoughts and new perspectives. I create my work on a touchscreen with the same app David Hockney has been using for his digital imagemaking. I love the direct, tactile connection with the screen, bridging traditional physical art making with digital, and deliberately leaving evidence of human touch. See more of my work at www.jessicapoundstone.com and www.instagram.com/jessicapoundstone
