“I’m glad you like it, dear,” she said as she did a little spin to show pff her outfit. Her attempts to move gracefully are significantly dampened by the ridiculous outfit, but she saunters up to him regardless.
“Now then… shall we?”

Fia walks out of her chamber, and while one may expect her to be the spitting image of elegance during this fall night, instead she is wearing a baggy set of dark pajamas resembling Goswyn’s dear friends fortisaxx, complete with tail.
“I’m ready, my love.”
Godwyn sat on an armchair, waiting patiently for his lover. He lifted his gaze toward his lover and admired her pajamas with an amused look.
He was also wearing his pajamas, one that looked comically like a funeral shroud. What a lovely couple's costume.
"Thoust make a stunning resemblance, dear." He closed the book he was reading and stood up. They were ready for this lovely fall night.

Fia stared at Godwyn a moment before tightening her grip on his hand ever so slightly.
“I am only tired by the way you keep living in your past. That time is gone, we must look to the future now.”
She pet his hand, unsure if what she said was the right thing to say to him. But over the time she has spent with Godwyn, she learned that being direct and honest with her desires was the best way to get anywhere with him.
It was of course easier for her to say these things, since all her life she was raised to be a sacrifice.
“We are going to do wonderful things together Godwyn. I’ve done so much for you, you know. It is true that some of your mannerisms frustrate me, but that is true of anyone. The difference here is I remain with you despite everything.”
"I love you. I apologize for all this trouble I caused. I'll get better, I promise. Just don't leave... Please."
-Godwyn
(Saw u post and I thought I'd send you angst lol. Hes a pain in the ass and he knows it!)

Fia grabbed onto his hand before he got too far from her.
“Telling you that I wouldn’t make my exit was not an order to make yours. It is alright.”
Her voice was soothing and calm as she rubbed her thumb on the back of his hand.
“I will not send you away, that was not my intention.”
"I love you. I apologize for all this trouble I caused. I'll get better, I promise. Just don't leave... Please."

When he asked her to stand for him, she did so. The difference in height made it so even in this state she was a touch shorter than he. She giggled a little as he kissed her hands, how gentle yet fervent he was.
“What is it, Godwyn?”
As he talked, she got the sense that there really was more to this trip than just a rest in the shade.
This talk of how much she meant to him, what she has done for him. It struck a chord. It occurred to her how comfortable he made her feel as well, how peaceful.
It seemed… difficult for him to get to the point of what he was trying to say, when he was usually so direct. It seemed like he had a lot to get off his chest, so she allowed him time to say all he needed to say.
Her eyes widen when she sees the ring. She cannot speak for a moment, even though she already knows what it is she wants. At first she nods, a few tears running down her cheeks, before she smiles as she gives him a definitive.
“Of course I will.”
"Sun is awfully bright, is it not?"
He asked, the hood over his head was pulled back, but he wished he didn't touch it now. Who knew the sun would shine so brightly in the middle of summer? Not Godwyn, the prince who lives underground apparently.
He carried Fia in his arms, allowing her to enjoy the breeze unburdened. He carried her on the way up to the Altus Plateau, he didn't show any sign of wanting to put her down anytime soon.
He remembered these golden fields. They weren't that far from the outer walls of Leyendell. He spent a good portion of his late childhood and early teenage years training, camping, and hunting in this stretch of land. He half expected Fortissax to come swooping down from the heavens to meet him.
Those days are gone. He didn't dwell on it though, a new chapter was ahead.
@deathblightprince (proposal RP :3)
Fia was, for the time being, content with being carried. These golden fields were a ways away from where they emerged from, and this gesture seemed to keep him in a relaxed state.
Godwyn has been agitated since he discovered a dark secret relating to his death, and little brought him comfort these days.
“Indeed. I can scarce see what lies ahead of us…”
Her small white hand shielded her eyes from the sunlight while her robes waved gently in the wind.
She breathed in the fresh air deliberately, somewhat enjoying the vibrancy of life for once. She tried not to let her contentment show, however.

Fia rested with Godwyn a moment, enjoying the warmth of the day. But soon, the silence began getting to her.
She shifted herself to look up at Godwyn, and she could see that he seemed a little nervous about something.
“Godwyn. You know you can speak to me of anything, yes? What is on your mind?”
Fia placed a gentle hand on his, rubbing her thumb on the back of his. She was never one to be transparent herself, but she tried. She hoped Godwyn would share her recent efforts.

As for Fia, she was raised her whole life believing she was only good for one singular purpose: sacrifice.
A noble thing, they said, being a deathbed companion, giving life to those that died. And so it was, but where she once failed, she now finally fulfilled this purpose of hers.
And yet.
Now she and Godwyn rest under the shade of a tree with golden boughs, turning that blinding light into a soft glow dappled by the shade of the gently rustling leaves.
A charming place, she thought as she sat beside him, stretching her legs out. It had been some time since she could really just… relax.
She remained unaware of Godwyn’s truest intentions, but she couldn’t help but suspect that she wasn’t just brought out here on a walk.
“Bright summers aren’t so common where I’m from, beyond the fog. A rather dreary place it was… cold and wanting.”
She fusses with some grass.
“I enjoy the warmth of this place. It reminds me… that despite everything…”
She looks up at Godwyn, the faintest smile painted on her lips.
“That I live.”

Fia smiles gently at her offer, carefully taking the plate in her hands.
“Thank you. I must say… you seemed distracted coming in. Is something the matter?”
She tilts her head slightly to the right.
Trembling head to toe, Perona slowly tiptoes into the room, keeping her eyes on Fia as though she'll lunge for an attack the moment she so much as blinks. The closer she gets, the more Fia's face seems to morph, twisting into... To put it frankly, one of the few people in her childhood that understood her.
But she mistook Fyra for her mother - it's different with her though, in that she sensed Fyra was her mother. That they had embraced one another as family.
"A-aah!"
Her foot catches on the rug, and she faceplants, somehow managing to keep the bowl of custard, accompanied this time by little biscuits, up so it only spills a bit on Fia's clothes.
Still trembling, her head remains down, and she reaches up, offering the bowl to her as she gets up into a kneel, despite being too nervous to look her in the eye.
@eldenlordofdragons [It Perona.]
Fia’s gaze is as calm as ever as she first hears then sees the white haired girl enter her quarters.
The girl seemed somewhat entranced by her, though Fia herself didn’t know what Perona was thinking of as she made her way over.
That’s when Perona tripped.
The girl managed impressive balance with the plate and bowl, but even so Fia stood from her bed to kneel by Perona’s side.
The girl would feel a hand on her shoulder, and hear a gentle voice.
“Are you alright?”

Fia nods.
“As well as he can. He is not versed in such things, but he tries his best, and that is well enough for me. Your efforts have proved instrumental in our success. Thank you.”
"M'lady. How are you recovering? Is there anything you need me to do?" Kneeling, tilting her head. "Do you require my steel?"
@eldenlordofdragons [Elysia] (Hi!)
“I am requiring quite well.”
Fia gives a soft smile and a small nod at Elysia. She holds a hand up.
“Oh, no need for that. I do not require any blades raised in my name for now. Thank you for offering.”

The box was for her after all. Not that there was any doubt, but she thought it presumptuous to up and open the box.
She slides out of her bed, still wrapped in her sheer black robes, and rubs one of her eyes as she leaves to get good water for tea.
She soon returns from the kitchens with clean water and she sets up a pot on the fire.
“Well, there is no sense in forcing us both to wait while the water boils.”
She lifts the box carefully with her slender hands, and seats herself on the bed in such a way that Godwyn can see her open it.
She lifts the lid carefully…
Fia knows Godwyn has a real case of seasonal depression. The holidays have not been kind to him. It's been tough for him as he was still adjusting to his new body, new beliefs, new life in general. But he'll be damned if he doesn't make at least some concerted effort during Christmas to not be a soggy big prince.
He wake with her within their chambers in the morning. He would have a gift ready for her inside a carved wooden box with gold clasps on the table.
"Good morning dear." He was still a bit tired, evidently rubbing an eye. Their bed was so cozy, despite him being way too tall for it. How many days has she been sleeping on him? And they haven't even officiated a courtship yet? Scandalous!
@deathblightprince (short chrimus rp lol)
She blinks twice slowly and yawns.
“Good morning…”
Her eyes took some time to adjust to the light of the room. The fire was well kept as always. And behind her is Godwyn, with his back to the wall like usual.
She rolls over to properly greet Godwyn, trying not to cause too much of a stir. She catches him rubbing his eye and smiles softly.
“Did you sleep well last night?”

She breathes deeply and shifts a little more. She then sees the box upon the small table in her room. At this very moment she isn’t in any position to get up and investigate, so she simply lets that topic rest for now.
After some more time lying in bed with Godwyn, she eventually peeks up at him again.
“Godwyn, would you like some tea?”

There is an ivory comb and a fine silver brush upon Fia's night stand. There is a note, written in large letters.
FOR MY DAUGHTER FROM HER PAPA
LIONEL
Fia smiles fondly. She and Lionel haven’t been able to talk much since he departed on his own journey, but she cherished the time they were together.
More than anyone, he encouraged a little adventure in her life, which she was once adverse to.
She picks up the brush and comb, placing them in a more orderly position. They would see their first use tonight.
