So what’s the overarching plot of your story about these clans? Or is it just you have fanclans to have them?

There are two pain plotlines:

The mysterious black cat around the Hill Clans warning of great danger, which turns out to be the Dark Forest planning to attack these clans as well,

And Roseheart trying to find love after realising she doesn't like toms. She gets a lot of support, but she ends up falling in love with a rogue.

There are a few small subplots like Robinsong learning to live with his injury and overcoming depression, Caveclan facing constant pressure from Mountainclan and the remaining cats from Springclan finding a new place to live.

I noticed some of the cats have canon clans listed in previous residence on their bio. What role does the canon clans play in this universe?

(wow a break from a long time of inactivity... Whoops! I promise I'll get back to this blog soon!)

The canon clans exist to this day in this AU! These clans were formed by Tribe of Rushing Water cats who heard about the clans and wanted to make their own. (I'll do designs for the founders!) Eventually news of these new clans spread to the canon ones, and left. Mostly Shadowclan cats who were living under tyrannical rule by a leader named Spiderstar at that time. Snowstar, back when he was a warrior, was one of them, and he started his own clan in the area where the Hill Clans couldn't live with their skills (Snowclan territory is very swampy and filled with brooks, hunting for anything other than fish is hard). Obviously most cats from the canon clans who left to find these new clans ended up joining Snowclan as there were familiar faces there. Along the way they also picked up kittypets, and the rogues that were living in the territory.
