I wanted to animate this part of the song but that would take too much time so mini comic it is! My main inspiration for this mini is Tim in his Red Robin run essentially losing himself, not acting like himself but thinking more like Batman. When his dad died he started to hide his feelings, bottling his emotions up, but his friends helped him realize that he should stop thinking like Batman and start thinking like a titan- or rather himself separate from the bat identity. And ofc in the Red Robin run, later on he reaffirms himself to be different from batman but he at the time felt like he needed to be less of himself and think more like how batman did. And especially with him no longer being Robin, everyone around him dying, no one believing him that Bruce was alive, and his mentality being altered- thinking if crossing lines he’s never crossed even mattered, added more to him losing himself. He really was going through it😭. This was always just interesting to me idk haha

I'll never understand the fanon interpretation of Tim where he is a loner or anti-social.

Tim Drake? The same Tim Drake that makes friends even when he's at his lowest mentally? The Tim Drake that has connections absolutely everywhere and probably one of the most codependent relationships with his respective superhero team?

The Tim Drake that managed to befriend Huntress and bring her more into the Gotham vigilante scene? The same Tim Drake that still has contact with Jean-Paul despite not liking the dude in the slightest?

The same Tim Drake that was the first person (besides Barbara) to trust Cass and the same person to befriend and trust Steph before everyone else? The same Tim Drake that has changed school five times (that we know of in comics) and had managed to make a solid friend group at every single school?

No, Tim is not a loner or anti-social. He is the most socially active of the Batfamily in terms of friendships outside of just being a vigilante. He has more named civilian friends that most of the other combined, and is known to be well spoken and easy to get along with.

So no, Tim is not anti-social. Tim is not a loner. This motherfucker cannot got 10 minutes without making a friend or an ally whenever he's doing a mission. Literally when he pushed away everyone else in his life when he was at his lowest he still came out of the whole ordeal with 2 new best friends. He has never once been a loner and I genuinely would love to know where the hell Fanon came up with that?

why are time loops always only like 1 day long?

the real horror is a months or years long time loop. no speedrunning your torture here. you have to sit with the consequences of your actions for a loooong time before the release of knowing the consequences and actions have been erased.

but oh, all the actions and consequences are gone. those relationships you built? empty. you can never build them again without the constant guilt of knowing that it's not as real the second, third, thirtieth time when you already know all their secrets and they none of yours.

but you can't hide. you can't isolate yourself because what if this is the time the loop breaks and then what? years gone by of missed chances with people who have changed you a thousand times and now circumstances have changed. you can never build back what was washed away by your own inaction. they'll never be able to meet you like they did the first time if you don't choose to meet them the first time every time
