genuinely very sad to me how people have forgotten that women are like, an oppressed class. god forbid you talk about the patriarchy without someone saying "but it affects men too!!" that doesn't change the fact that MEN ARE THE OPPRESSORS. imagine if we did this with any other sort of bigotry, if black people talking about antiblackness got told every time they tried to bring it up that it affects tan white people too. that would be stupid and for good reason. people really took intersectionality and completely misinterpreted it

everyday i wake up and i have no comfort

think it's a deep consolation to know that spiders dream, that monkeys tease predators, that dolphins have accents, that lions can be scared silly by a lone mongoose, that otters hold hands, and ants bury their dead. that there isn't their life and our life. nor your life and my life. that it's just one teetering and endless thread and all of us, all of us, are entangled w it as deep as entanglement goes. v neat i think.

it feels like feminist discussion online always swings wildly between "if you wear pink and sparkles and like fashion and partying and care about relationships and don't like math and dirt and video games and wear makeup you're literally the death of feminism and you're the reason men don't respect us and you're just a dumb trashy bimbo and you do everything for men" and "if you don't like makeup and fashion and pink and like sports and cars and find a lot of girly media boring and don't support every girl ever and don't shave and embrace your 'divine feminine' then you're a misogynistic pick-me and you're literally oppressing other women and you do everything for men"

and both extremes tend to be VERY shitty to trans people, POC, ace and aro people, people who have "too much" sex, people who don't have "enough" sex, sex workers, and religious minorities and it's like uh hey!! what if we were all fucking normal to people who don't like the same things as us!!
