you awake to kisses being peppered all over your face. “so clingy in the morning.” 

he chuckles, “it’s a great weather for a morning swim.” he grins when he hears you groan, “it’s always great weather for a morning swim for you.” 

“you love me so much, you know everything about me.”

“debatable.”

child of poseidon!rafayel who lives to get under your skin. it’s a love language of his at this point. his day is never complete without bantering with you at least once or twice.

“what are you reading this time?” he asks, peeking over your shoulder.

“a book on battle tactics. unlike some people, i quite like expanding my knowledge.” 

“sounds boring.” that earns him a glare—one he finds absolutely adorable. “not every fight is about brute force. strategy wins battles.”

“yet i win with pure skills.” he gloats, grinning at you. 

“that’s because instead of a brain, all you have is seawater in your head.”

rafayel gasps. “did you just call me stupid?” 

“if the shoe fits.”

child of poseidon!rafayel who drags you lake swimming. it’s the middle of the night and somehow he has managed to coerce you into a swim under the moonlight, in freezing water. 

“you’re not scared, are you?” he teases, already chest-deep, arms outstretched. “come on, i got you.” the moment you step in, rafayel pulls you into his arms. you rest your arms over his bare shoulders, and the touch turns his ears red.

his lips twitch into a smile when he feels you hug him closer. without hesitation, he gathers you up—your arms draped over his neck, your legs loosely wrapped around his waist—and leads you deeper into the water. you stay like that, weightless and unbothered by the cold, wrapped in each other.

“i missed you,” he murmurs against your skin. water drips from his shoulders and back, but he barely notices as he buries his face in your neck. “you were stuck to my hip the whole day.” you hummed, washing his hair with your shampoo since he insists he likes it better than your own.

“still missed you.” he whines, arms tightening around you, pressing soft open-mouthed kisses on the side of your neck. 

child of poseidon!rafayel who coaxes you to bed when he sees you overworking yourself to the bone. he’s like a siren with how he sweet-talks you to leave the rest of you work for tomorrow. 

“time for bed, dearest.” he wraps his arms around you from behind, nosing at the spot just behind your ear. “too much knowledge can make you stupid. geniuses need rest every once in a while.”

“too much knowledge can make you stupid? pray tell, who’s your source for that?”

“a very wise man from an ancient city under the depths of the sea. now,” before you can argue, rafayel lifts you up and drops you onto on the bed. “sleep. i promise to wake you early.”

stem bf!caleb who’s such a nerd trapped in a hot guy’s body, it drives you insane. he could be standing in front of you looking all hot with that pilot uniform of his but the moment he opens his mouth? you just wanna jump him there and then. 

“how much do you love me?” caleb hums in response to your question. he has his arms around you, swaying the both of you ever so slightly from side to side. 

“honestly? like about 9.8 meters per second squared. in other words, gravity is pulling me towards you.” he grins before leaning in to kiss your cheek. 

“could’ve just said you love me to the moon and back.”

“flowery words are your thing, sweets. not mine.”

stem!bf caleb who invites you for a date night at his dorm.

you show up with snacks and a list of movies you want to watch with him, such as barbie because you are going to sit him down and explain how barbie is one of the best movies of the century and the message it conveys to women and little girls around the world— wait.. why is he surrounded with legos?

“what’s with the legos?” 

“it’s not just legos, pip. it’s the 7,500 pieces millenium falcon. come on, help me with it.” he pulled you down beside him on the carpet, your legs deposited on top of his lap and an arm enclosing you to his chest.

“so, you invited me here to make me do labor.” you grumbled seemingly annoyed yet the hand reaching out for the building manual says otherwise. caleb merely chuckles at your faux demise, pecking your temple. “don’t worry. we can watch barbie as we build. and.. we’ll do a powerpoint night tomorrow. deal?”

“deal.” and so you spent the entire night wrestling with tiny building blocks to help complete his beloved spaceship. 

stem bf!caleb who keeps every paper plane you give him. when unfolded, the paper is filled with your words of love dedicated to him. 

stem!bf caleb who is your very own human calculator. you always bring him with you during grocery runs so you can easily keep track of the total as you shop. 

“caleb, add this.”

“bread is $2.49.. your current total is now $11.27.”

“thanks, babe. now, let’s go get chips.”

stem!bf caleb who watches all your favorite films or shows in his free times. he remembers all the times you mentioned them in passing. 

“since when did you watch girl, interrupted?” 

“last night. you were talking about it the other day and i didn’t really know how to respond so i watched it. now, tell me all about lisa again. her character was really something— ah!” he got cut off by you throwing your arms around him and peppering his face with kisses.

stem bf! caleb who yaps about science theories during cuddle time. your head is on his chest, his arms tight around you.

“time slows down when the gravity increases. that’s what you call gravitational time dilation. like, imagine you’re on top of a very high mountain. time would pass faster for you than for someone at sea level because the gravity is weaker the farther you are from the center— babe?” caleb looks down, lips quirked upon seeing you dozed off. he pinches your nose, earning a sleepy whine from you. “stop.” 

“you promised to listen to me talk. are you breaking promises now, pip?” caleb leans closer to bite at your cheek, grinning widely when you push his face away. “i’ll let you yap later. nap comes first.”

“is that a promise?” 

“yes.”

“okay. i love you.”

“.. love you too.” 

“good night.”

“hm.”

sylus who leans down when you say something. he brings his head down after a hum. you can feel the warmth of his cheek brushing against the skin in your neck.

sylus whose hand swiftly covers the corner of the table when you bend down to pick up a fork you clumsily dropped. although, most times you wouldn't even get a chance to pick it up. with a flick of his hand, your fork is back on the table. courtesy of the black wispy tendrils that caught it before it hit the ground.

sylus who has a palm over your thigh whenever you guys are at a theater. you dragged him to watch an opera or ballet and he, of course, agreed. his thumb smoothing over the skin of your inner thigh.

sylus who cooks breakfast for the two of you. a small smile graces his oh so handsome face when he sees you shuffle from the bedroom wearing his shirt from the night before. his grin widening the moment your arms encases his waist.

sylus who places a hand on the small of your back. he does this often when he walks you through crowded places or just standing next to you.

sylus who always opens doors for you. the car door? careful, sweetie. he’ll remind while guiding your head so you don’t bump it. in a cafe? don’t even think about touching the door handle. he’ll open it for you, just kiss his cheek when you walk in.

sylus who kneels down to fix the straps of your heels or to lace up the laces of your shoes. it doesn’t matter if someone sees him, the big bad scary leader of onichynus, on his knees fixing someone's shoes. he wouldn’t mind dirtying his pants that must’ve cost thousands just for you.

sylus who grabs your chin with his thumb and index finger, pulling you close to him. he does this when he wants to steal a kiss or when he whispers affirmations of his love.

andy speaks: caleb and the what r we thing cuz i wholeheartedly believe he's so down bad that he forgets to ask u out n just start planning ur wedding .. happy new years post in march 🫶

“get out of there. now.” 

after being apart for a long time, caleb was looking forward to finally spending new years with you again. it’ll be just like before! except, the two of you are well past the friends stage. long story short: upon reunion, he kissed you like it’s his last day on the planet and days and weeks after that, he doted on you every minute of every hour. he was always there tailing you like a puppy. you’re hungry? he’s already cooked your favorite meal and it’s waiting there on the table, still warm. bad day? he’s already at the door with his arms wide open for you to step into. need a distraction? no worries, caleb will never pass up on a chance to devour your lips (and soul) just so you can forget all your stress and worries.

all of those actions are really sweet of him. but there’s just one tiny problem. 

caleb has never officially asked you out. 

but here’s another problem. caleb already thinks the two of you are dating. you already do what lovers do, exclusively doesn’t that make you two.. well, lovers? while he’s out here thinking up your marriage and honeymoon place, you’re out here on the verge of crashing out because just what the hell are you two? you can’t just ask him outright, “caleb, what are we?” no, no. you don’t have enough backbone for that. is everything just casual? no, you can’t let chappell roan get into your head. but.. what if he’s just being friendly? a little too friendly. you’re confused, you're going insane, and you just wanna cry.

so what’s the best solution to your lovelife problems without confrontation and just the perfect timing of new years?

eat grapes under the table at exactly midnight in hopes that the romance aspect of your life flourish and prosper. in other words, finally have a boyfriend this year. or to be more specific, finally have caleb as your boyfriend this year.

which leads us to now. you shoving grapes into your mouth under the table, choking and cursing whoever started this tradition because who thought it was a good idea to make someone finish 12 whole grapes in one minute or else your wish ticket is void. 

“you’re going to choke to death.” caleb kneels down, tall frame bent and trying to fit under the table with you. when you retched on your eighth grape, caleb took away your cup and made you spit out on his hand. 

“why are you even eating grapes— choking on grapes? are you trying to start the year off with a bang?” he chuckles, his hand rubbing your back in circles. 

“i'm trying to get a boyfriend this year.” you replied between breaths. you take the cup of water from him (when did he get that? you don’t know) and gulped it down. 

caleb's brows furrowed, “a boyfriend? don’t you have me already?”

you look at him and sighed. “i'm trying to get you as my boyfriend this year.”

his brows furrowed even more, “.. are we not dating? i thought i was already your boyfriend?” he tucks hair behind your ear, hand lingering on the side of your neck.

“you haven’t asked me out yet.”

“do i have to ask you out?” he hums. “i could've sworn i was already too obvious.”

caleb leans in, lips grazing your cheek and a grin painted on his. “so, can i?”

“can you what?” 

“be your boyfriend, of course.” and there it is, that handsome boyish smile of his that never fails to make your heart skip a beat. instead of a verbal answer, you closed the gap between you two. 

guess that grapes already worked. despite you only being able to finish seven. oops.

bonus: 

“see, pip. grapes are more delicious if you eat them one by one.” he places a piece on your mouth. you chew with a grumble. “shut up."

“yeah? shut me up, then." he smiles, already bending down to nip at your shoulder.

child of hades!sylus who snakes an arm around your waist, pulling you to his chest when someone flirts with you. he'll lean down, whispering into your ear, “is this thing bothering you, sweetie?”

the person stammers before walking away, tripping over their feet. “next time, let me know when these idiots bother you again.” sylus brushes his lips over your pulse point, the sensation sending a shiver down your spine. “i’ll handle them.”

child of hades!sylus who is so infatuated with you that he lets you get away with almost anything. he walks around camp with a bright pink bracelet you made for him, contrasting greatly with his dark clothes. he lets you paint his nails as he nods off, head supported by his free hand, catching up on the sleep he misses at night.

but one thing he doesn’t let you do is leave for a quest with only a peck as goodbye. no, no. he’ll drag you back with one hand, the other gripping your cheeks. “is that how we say bye now?” he won’t let you walk away without at least sucking your soul out (pun intended), leaving your lips red and swollen.

child of hades!sylus who sneaks into your room at night. you’d already be lying in bed, ready to head off to dreamland, when you notice something—someone—emerging from the shadows of your room.

child of hades!sylus who doesn’t sleep well without you. after stepping foot in your room, he’ll lay down, hugging you to his chest and burying his nose in your hair. every night spent in your warmth is the best sleep of his life.

child of hades!sylus who craves physical contact. somehow, he’s always touching you—hand around your waist, palm on the small of your back, head resting on your shoulder, lips on your temple, wrist, neck, cheek, everywhere.

his cold gaze makes the other person tremble and rush to get away. the moment you turned to face him, all confused because why did that person just run, caleb is all smiley. eyes bright and hands already reaching out to cup your face and give you eskimo kisses.

child of ares!caleb who grins like he's high off anesthesia whenever you fuzz about his injuries. he melts in your hold everytime you kiss his bruises and gashes, wishing him a speedy recovery.
