"Name core" Tag
Thank you for tagging me @illarian-rambling!
"Choose one of your characters/OC's (one that has a name) and go to pinterest and search "[Name]core" and build a 6-9 picture moodboard for the character based on what shows up."
I think for this I'm going to use the main character from my newest (I'm talking barely more than an idea haha) WIP. Let's see if pinterest can give me how I see her: Rhian.
Soooo definitely not at all what she is like but I do think it paints an interesting picture. Probably fits someone's character, but just not mine.
I think I'll tag @abditorywriting, @mk-writes-stuff, and @calicowrites!
#dear lord someone please help me learn how to format posts and make them look nice I am so lost#writing#writerscommunity#writblr#writers on tumblr#my ocs

Purple Carrots
Oh how I enjoyed sweet summer days
tending to our garden built upon soil
filled with clay and broken bits of glass,
nutrient starved and making feeble
grasps at the life we tried to cultivate there-
when we made a trip to Reed’s Rent All
after the church doors opened and all the
kind people flooded out to go about their
Sunday chores or work or play.
I was so excited.
But now as I sit here in the body of an adult
I realize that our garden wasn’t the only thing
built on hard earth and the corpses of old beer bottles.
I wish that I could log every hour or every second
spent trying to unlearn the things I learned there
in that dreadful town full of hateful people,
living under the roof of those who loved me not
with their actions but with merely
the emotions that I was never privy to-
where my childhood bed was once an empty auditorium
for my cries of hunger, loneliness, or pain,
it now stands empty
waiting for me should I choose to go back,
but not missing my presence
when I never do.
You see the funny thing about gardens
is that they often look beautiful
even after years of neglect
but the difference is,
a garden that was shown great care and attention
is usually the garden
absent of weeds.

Introduction Post !
Hi friends! I'm Keelan (they/them) but my usual handle is sleepydruid. Most of what I do tends to be short stories, but I'm looking to push myself to write longer form content in addition to my shorter stuff.
About Me
I am a queer, disabled, person just trying their best ;-;
But a bit more specifically, psychology is a huge passion for me and what I went to school for. I really enjoy writing introspective stories where I can really get into a characters head and pick them apart. What makes them tick? Why do they make the decisions they do? Everything having to do with the mind is right up my alley.
What do I like to read?
I have always gravitated towards fantasy because there's just so many fun ways to make it and I love disappearing into a story's own unique lore. Lately I've also kind of been stuck in sapphic romantasy stories (don't hesitate to send recommendations xD).
What else do I do besides write?
I also love everything relating to fiber arts. I learned to crochet first, but more recently I've picked up knitting as well. Embroidery and I currently have a bit of a feud, but I intend to return to it at some point to add it to my craft collection. Music is another passion of mine as well. I tend to gravitate towards indie folk/alternative as my usuals, but I can vibe with most things.
Feel free to reach out with questions, recommendations, or just to chat!
