#SAJA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH STRAY KIDS!

chan ↯ saja is his CHILD

Before their debut, Chan was one of the first friends that Saja made. It was no question really, as Chan was one of the nicest people ever. Their friendship really started when Saja was struggling with her Korean, and from then on Chan was always happy to help. From the moment Chan saw Saja, he felt the need to protect her, as she was so young when they met.

Chan always checks on Saja: seeing how she’s doing; if she’s taking care of herself; and (of course) snuggles are a must. He’s always so proud of Saja and how much she’s grown, and he’s honoured to be a part of the woman she’s grown into today.

… He’s also that annoying older brother from time to time.

Saja really admires Chan—as a friend and an artist—and she often finds herself looking for his approval without realizing.

You know how Chan always picks up all the members? Yeah, it’s not uncommon to see Saja suddenly being carried around by Chan. Stays have more than once seen Saja being carried in the background of videos before.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT

One time during a fan signing, Saja met a fellow Geordie, and she doesn’t know what came over her but her accent was stronger than ever at the time when she was talking to the fan. She looked so excited, using hand gestures and everything.

Chan, on the other hand, looked… confused, which was really funny to see. He was waiting for the fan to come to him next, so he was looking on at their conversation with furrowed brows. At the same time however, he looked on with fondness at how Saja looked so happy and at home.

minho ↯ saja is his CHILD (pt. 2)

Put this duo together and you have no idea how things’ll turn out.

Saja and Minho tease each other a lot, and make a lot of jokes with each other, but Minho genuinely adores Saja (and Saja adores Minho). Minho is someone that Saja can always rely on, and trust. He can be funny with her, but he knows when to be serious; when to be a shoulder to cry on; when to be a good listener, and so on.

Again, very protective (all of them are). Not that they don’t think Saja can hold her own, and they’re not overprotective, but they watched her grow up. It’s natural that they care so much for her.

When Minho comforts her when she’s crying, sometimes she falls asleep if the breakdown was bad enough/if she’s exhausted enough. It’s often when they’re cuddling/hugging because she just melts into his arms, and when I tell you that Minho will stay as still as possible until she wakes up because he knows she needs the sleep.

They’re also very chaotic together. They’re so different but so similar?? Literally couldn’t put it into words if I tried but their humour matches perfectly.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT

Minho and Saja were doing a vlive, and Saja was unable to ignore the hate comments directed towards her. You could see it in the way her eyes slowly lost their spark that they had when the live started.

As the only girl in the group, Saja got the most hate. She tried hard to ignore it, but sometimes it was hard to pretend that people weren’t saying the things they were saying.

During the live, Minho noticed how Saja started feeling more down. He silently put his hand on the small of her back, to give her some comfort. Saja slightly relaxed into his hold as the live continued, ending around 10 minutes later, with a slightly more cheerful Saja.

changbin ↯ your basic annoying sibling duo, but… it’s endearing??

They don’t seem to like each other sometimes (they adore each other) because they make everything a competition?

Like they will do anything to be better than the other—all in good fun, of course.

One time they were about to challenge each other to see who could hold their breath the longest, but Chan had to stop them because he didn’t need anybody passing out.

Also a very sweet and cute duo together tbh <3 love them.

Changbin sometimes pretends to be Saja’s bodyguard. Saja always finds it funny.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT

One time Saja was getting so cold to the point that she was shivering, and Changbin looked over at her and frowned. He almost immediately took his jacket off, draping it over her shoulders and pulling it around her to give her warmth. Saja gave him the sweetest smile, saying thank you, which showed how much she loves him.

hyunjin ↯ hyunja, the cutest ever

Hyunjin literally loves Saja so much—it’s like him with Jeongin, except Saja is just as huggy back, you get me?

There are many many hugs and many many compliments between the two.

They can both be quite dramatic together.

One time Minho flicked Saja on the forehead and Saja claimed that he punched her in the face. Hyunjin tried so hard not to laugh, wanting to do a dramatic gasp, but in the end he fell into a fit of laughter.

Sometimes Saja joins Hyunjin’s dance lives (IF I HAD A DOLLAR FOR THE AMOUNT OF TIMES SOMEONE COMMENTED “SAJA GET YOUR POINTE SHOES OUT!!”).

Hyunjin often uses Saja’s lap as a pillow, and Saja uses that time to run her fingers through his hair.

These two have the best laughs and when they laugh together, you can’t help but to laugh too.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT

That one time Saja was with Hyunjin for a dance live and after many many comments and requests, Saja finally gave in and did a tiny bit of ballet. She didn’t have any shoes on, and she only did some simple things, but she still looked very graceful.

Hyunjin could be seen from the side cheering her on and yelling out compliments, which was definitely funny and heartwarming to see.

jisung ↯ PARTNERS IN CRIME BABY

The ULTIMATE chaotic duo.

I genuinely cannot think of a funnier duo, they’re just amazing together.

The type to look at each other from across the room and have to hold in their laughter.

Also: introvert duo! Both quite shy, but like Jisung, their members help to bring Saja out of her shell.

While these two are always joking with each other, Jisung really cares for Saja, and he isn’t afraid to show it. Whether it’s back hugs, an arm around the shoulder, a comforting hand on her back or just outright saying it, he cares about her.

And in return, Saja cares about him just as much. She returns all the hugs, or initiates them herself. She’s always there for him when his anxiety is bad, just like he’s there for her. She enjoys baking him (and the other members) his favourite treats.

All in all, a very loud, chaotic, heartwarming duo.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT

One time during a live, Jisung kept having to hold back laughter for an unknown reason, that none of the fans could figure out. Eventually he burst into a fit of laughter, “Saj!”

Saja then slid into frame, a wide smile on her face as she laughed along with Jisung. To this day, nobody knows what Saja was doing to make Jisung laugh.

felix ↯ sunshine duo

They love each other so much it’s insane.

Constant cuddles and hugs between the main cuddlebugs of Stray Kids.

They love spending quality time together as well, which includes baking together.

Felix often calls Saja by her English name, ‘Sara’.

It’s also not uncommon to find these two up in the late hours having in depth conversations. Whether it’s something they’re laughing about or if it’s a deep and serious conversation. They’re kinda big on communication, especially since Saja has such a hard time opening up to others. Felix always encourages Saja to say what’s on her mind, but he’s never forceful about it. He just likes to let her know that she can say what’s on her mind, and he’ll always be there to listen.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT

A fan favourite clip of these two is when they both fell asleep together, with Saja’s head resting on Felix’s shoulder, and Felix’s arm around Saja, pulling her close. It was a very short clip, but very cute and sweet nonetheless.

seungmin ↯ weirdly sweet

Your basic sibling duo pretty much.

Love annoying each other, but all in good fun.

Seungmin loves ruffling Saja’s hair, and sometimes Saja succeeds in doing it back (I can’t explain it but Seungmin is so good at getting away in time. That man is SWIFT)

Seungmin is very observant (and he is with all of the members) so he knows when he shouldn’t push it; when he should be there for her; etc…

Saja likes to think she’s the same with him. She likes to make sure she lifts up his mood when he’s having a bad day; she likes to bake for him; etc…

Saja always tells Seungmin how bright his smile is and how much she loves it.

Sometimes Saja can be insecure about her eyes and how sharp they are, so Seungmin likes to tell her how beautiful her eyes are.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT

During a concert, Seungmin discreetly stepped closer to Saja and lightly stepped on the toe of her shoe, just to annoy her. Saja stared at him for a long moment, with a blank face, and then stepped on his shoe as a way of getting back at him. Some fans noticed this and started laughing, but Saja and Seungmin kept going, stepping on each other's shoe—back and forth. At one point, Saja jumped like she was going to land on his foot with her feet together, but then at the last second, she separated her feet so they landed on either side of his shoe. Saja was laughing while Seungmin still had a blank face, and then Seungmin pointed at Saja, and put a flat hand low to the ground as if saying 'you're so small that it'd feel like getting hit by a feather.’ Saja's jaw was on the floor.

jeongin ↯ MISCHIEVOUS

They’re the babies of Stray Kids but when they’re together it always looks like they’re plotting something 🧍‍♀️

Like they’re sharing looks, looking like they know exactly what the other is saying. Whenever Chan catches them and their mischievous glances, he has to hold back a sigh because he knows he might have to keep them in check.

THEY HAVE A SPECIAL HANDSHAKE

They take each other’s phones to take random pictures. Sometimes because they’re funny, sometimes just for the randomness.

Saja often has a jacket with her when she thinks it might be too cold. Not necessarily for herself, but for Jeongin. She is very fond over him and likes to make sure he’s being taken care of.

Jeongin subtly makes sure that Saja’s eating. Sometimes he’ll offer her food; he’ll ask if she’s hungry/what she’s eaten that day; or he’ll slide her some of his food or hold it up to her mouth.

FAN FAVOURITE MOMENT(S)

It’s become a thing of theirs to constantly poke Seungmin. No one really knows which one of them started it but it’s just something that they do.

Seungmin usually has an expressionless face as they poke him.

XAVIER FACTS

— His parents are both South-Korean, but he’s born in Nashville

— he has an older sister and a younger brother

— xavier auditioned for YG Entertainment, but he didn’t pass it

— he’s an introvert but if he’s comfortable enough between other people can start to talk and never stop

— xavier became a JYP Entertainment trainer in 2012, after immediately he passed an audition in Seoul, since at that time he said he was in a trip with his family

— he auditioned with the song “eyes, nose, lips” by BIGBANG’s Taeyang

— he trained for 5 years

— xavier has a big fear of crowded places and elevators

— xavier started wasn’t put in the 3RACHA, because the Vocal Racha fit him more according to him

— he loves black cats, he has two black cats called Byeol (별) and Dal (달), meaning “star” and “moon”. The first comes from his love for astronomy and the second for his last name

— at 10 he was recovered for appendicitis, at that his parents said that the cause was the amount of chocolate he used to eat, since then he stopped eating chocolate

clip 1 ↯ hey, sweetheart

Chan was doing a live for a Chan’s Room episode, when there was the sound of a door opening and closing and Saja suddenly walked into frame. Chan looked up, smiling fondly at his tired looking maknae, his dimples showing. “Hey, sweetheart.” He said in English. The endearing nickname coined by both Chan and Felix always warmed the hearts of Stays whenever it was said publicly, as it always showed how much they cared for each other.

“Hi, oppa.”

Saja tiredly rubbed her eyes as she sat down, and Chan had to hold in a coo. Saja was just too adorable when she was tired. “I was about to go to bed,” Saja began, looking into the camera, “but I decided to say goodnight to Stay.” Saja smiled widely, reading comments and giggling lightly. She only stayed for a minute or two, answering a few questions as she rested her head against Chan’s shoulder. When she left, she waved goodbye, giving another warm smile towards the camera. “Goodnight everybody!”

She said goodnight to Chan as well, and Chan couldn’t help but to grin, eyes glittering with warmth as he said goodnight back. This was a Chan and Saja moment—a Sajan moment, if you will—that was talked about a lot. Everyone loved it when Chan gave the members heart eyes—especially Saja.

clip 2 ↯ minho goes soft

In this clip, it was a video taken from the perspective of an audience, and Stray Kids were on stage interacting with Stay. Saja could be seen walking around, a slight smile on her face, before she froze in space, jaw dropping in shock. Tears gathered in her eyes by the time Minho came in front of her, resting a hand on her shoulder, brows furrowing in concern.

Minho was asking if she was alright, and Saja nodded before breaking out into a teary grin. She said something into Minho's ear, pointing up into the audience. Minho followed her line of sight, before smiling softly, and bowing. He then wrapped an arm around Saja, pulling her into his side as he kept talking, all with the same smile.

It was later revealed that Saja's mom was in the audience as a surprise, and it had been so long since Saja had seen her that she couldn’t help but to get so emotional. They later reunited backstage after the show.

clip 3 ↯ “I CANNOT MOVE. I CAN’T.”

The clip starts with Saja sleeping peacefully on someone’s lap, her cheek slightly squished against their leg, making her pout the tiniest bit. The person Saja is sleeping on is running their fingers through her hair softly, and delicately.

The camera moves up and shows that it’s Changbin, who has the softest smile on his face as he looks down at her.

clip 4 ↯ cuddlebug #1 & cuddlebug #2

On the set for the ‘Case 143’ music video, Felix was talking to a camera when Saja jumped into view. “Lixie!”

Felix laughs lightly. “Sara!”

“How are we doing today?” Saja grinned, wrapping her arms around Felix. Felix smiled fondly, hugging her and pulling her close. “I am doing wonderful.”

clip 5 ↯ jaws are ON THE FLOOR

They were on set for the ‘거미줄 (VENOM)’ music video, and Saja was the only one left in the makeup chair, meaning everyone was waiting on her. Not that she was late or taking an insane amount of time—she just ended up being last to finish.

She was wearing her black leather outfit, and her eye makeup was dark. She had to admit—she looked good.

When she was finally done and back on her way to the others—a camera following behind her—Jisung, Hyunjin, and Jeongin were the first to see her. Their jaws dropped, and you already know that Jisung started hyping her up.

He was jumping around her, telling her how good she looked while Jeongin insisted on doing a round of applause—as in, going around her in circles and clapping.

"Flawless." Hyunjin stated, nodding in certainty.

Saja laughed, but couldn't help but to get all shy from all the complements. The dust of red on her cheeks was a total contrast from her form fitted black faux leather top, baggy black pants, and black boots.

"Aww," Jisung cooed, "is someone getting shy?" He squeezed her shoulders with a playful glint in his eye.

"Cute." Hyunjin grinned, pinching her cheek.

Later on, while reviewing some recordings on the monitor, Saja was on the screen, and Jisung began aggressively shaking her shoulders while Jeongin cheered. She looked completely different onscreen rather than her actually naturally shy self, you’d almost get whiplash from how fast she can change when the cameras start rolling.

clip 6 ↯ bickering one moment, cuddling the next

It wasn’t uncommon to see Seungmin and Saja bickering—nothing serious, of course. But it also wasn’t uncommon to see how much Seungmin cared for Saja.

Saja was a very huggy person, so he always made sure she got her hugs. He checked to make sure she was taking care of herself often, including this moment during their maniac tour, when it was clear that Saja was pushing herself too hard. Fans assume that Saja may be sleep deprived, and overworking herself, and on this night of the tour, she was looking quite exhausted. Seungmin, as well as the others, were seen constantly checking that she was all right through glances from the corners of their eyes or pats on her shoulder. At a moment when they were talking with the audience, Seungmin pulled Saja into his side, saying something into her ear with worried eyes. It was a very endearing moment between the two, though upsetting to see Saja in that state.

##SAJA FACTS!

‣ saja started taking ballet classes at 5 years old until she was 10 years old, when her biological parents died. she took ballet classes for another 2 years, starting at 12 years old. she stopped when she moved to korea.

‣ her favourite colour is black.

‣ saja has always been an only child, but her members have showed her how lovely (and annoying) it is to have brothers. she always tries to remind her members how grateful she is to have them as her brothers.

‣ her favourite hair colour she had was orange.

‣ saja is a huge fan of the british girl group, little mix. she went to their salute tour when she was 11, and chan and felix took her to their confetti tour in 2022. she even got go go backstage and meet the girls.

‣ if you make mince and dumplings for her i wouldn’t be surprised if she cried. she gets quite homesick, and having her favourite childhood meal would make her sentimental.

‣ her and her biological dad used to go to the beach on every sunday, until he passed. later on, saja's adoptive mother continued that tradition with her, which saja was very grateful for.

‣ saja doesn’t have a specific fashion style, it’s basically just whatever she’s feeling that day. maybe one day she’ll dress in a cute pastel cardigan, and the next she might wear a badass look, you never know.
