What I really appreciate about Monster Hunter is that it's specifically about how *humans* hunt. Because we're persistence hunters. And no other game series taps into that genetic memory, fulfills the primal urge to hunt megafauna with the boys, quite like this series does. The monster may be big, but by golly we're gonna keep coming at it until it goes down. You can't run. You can't hide. The humans are coming. And they are wearing your friends' pelts.
