Deuce Spade Birthday SSR Story Translation
NRC Newspaper Interview: Birthday Interview Feature
~Deuce Edition~
Option: Happy birthday. What were your thoughts in the days leading to your birthday?
Deuce: Thank you! I’m happy to hear “Happy Birthday!” from so many people.
Deuce: But… Honestly it was a little nerve-wracking.
Deuce: I figured I was used to these kinds of celebrations thanks to the the Unbirthday parties…
Deuce: It’s really different when you’re the center of attention.
Deuce: Still, everyone put in a lot of effort for today, so I’ll enjoy it to the fullest!
Deuce: A lot of my favorite egg dishes were also made and I can’t wait to eat them.
Screen: You really enjoy egg dishes, huh.
Deuce: Yeah. I like both eating and cooking them.
Deuce: I used to think fried eggs were simple. Just put the eggs over heat, but when I did it myself, I found out that was more to it.
Deuce: Making an ideal sunny-side up egg was pretty challenging… Back in the day I practiced quite a bit.
Deuce: Oh, speaking of… A while ago, Clover-senpai and I got pretty into making different egg dishes!
Deuce: Talking about what would be good in omelets, and teaching me how to make a simple-to-make custard…
Deuce: I never talked about egg dishes that much before, so it was really fun.
Deuce: Well, Ace was nearby going “I don’t know understand this cooking gibberish” and looked bored out of his mind.
Deuce: When I learn the super special melt-in-your-mouth custard recipe, I wanna try making that next time.
Deuce: Once I get that down, I’ll tell you. Feel free to bring Grim too for a bite.
Episode 2:
Screen: What do you enjoy?
Deuce: I like riding on a Magical Wheel. Also, I like tinkering with machines.
Deuce: Mom’s hopeless with machines, so I was always the one setting up the different household electronics.
Deuce: Instead of reading the instructions, she’d reluctantly try it out herself. It was fun to watch.
Deuce: Well, apparently to the people around me, it seems that repairing and services appliances is more of a specialty than a hobby to me.
Deuce: Occasionally, people would come and bring broken appliances and it was kinda troubling. I’m not that skilled, honestly…
Deuce: Earlier, when I tried listening to music with the Dorm Lounge’s worn-out cassette player, it stopped working.
Deuce: You know the old saying to hit appliances to fix them? I jokingly hit it and it started playing again.
Deuce: Diamond-senpai just so happen to be nearby to see it…
Deuce: He went around and told people half-jokingly that “Deuce-chan’s hands caused a miracle!”
Deuce: Word started spreading and it became a huge thing. It even got to my friends at some point…
Deuce: I kept getting told “Wow, you can repair different machines? That’s cool!”. I’m at a loss…
Screen: What are you dreams for the future?
Deuce: To become a police officer. …Not just any division… I want to join the division specialized in anti-mage combat, which is said to be the cream of the crop even among police.
Deuce: I know getting into the trade won’t be easy, but I have no intention of giving up.
Deuce: For the sake of my future, I’m doing all I can while I’m here.
Deuce: Every single day, I practice magic, I practice flying, and I even review my lectures on top of that.
Deuce: I don’t exactly have the best test scores in class though. W-Well I guess I just have to do my best from now on.
Deuce: Also, what I’m putting my efforts most into simulating situations in my head!
Deuce: I’ll watch movies and dramas where the lead role is a police officer and study how they do investigations and catch the criminals.
Deuce: I’ve memorized how to look cool in a chase and what signature phrase they’ll say when arresting the bad guy.
Deuce: I’m all set, to go to a crime scene immediately, aren’t I?
Episode 3:
Screen: What do you normally do for fun?
Deuce: Recently I’ve been playing cards with my friends at the dorm a lot.
Deuce: I used to be so into magical wheels, so I wasn’t used to playing games with my friends. It was really fun.
Deuce: Otherwise, I’ll play different app games; like ones where you build towns or beat monsters.
Deuce: Oh yeah, a while ago there was a big thing going on in the dorm with puzzle games.
Deuce: You have to match the same colors and then it disappears. The rules are simple and it’s really entertaining.
Deuce: But more and more students came to join and stayed up late…
Deuce: Many wouldn’t wake up in time and Dorm Leader Rosehearts would get at the necks of a lot of the students…
Deuce: …Actually, I was one of them too. I got too into a showdown with Ace, I stayed up the whole night…
Deuce: Even after telling myself I’d take everything more seriously… I learned my lesson.
Deuce: Since then, I only allow myself to play games for one hour a day.
Screen: What do you do on your days off?
Deuce: I do a lot of physical training.
Deuce: Sometimes when I’m in the sports grounds, I end up training with Jack, who’s in the same club as me—the track and field club.
Deuce: Even if we start off practicing on our own, we end up getting competitive on reflex being close to each other on the field…
Deuce: I start out planning to do some light training but then it ends up like an all-out battle…
Deuce: On some days, I end up running over a few dozen laps before I come to my senses.
Deuce: By the end of it, we’ll both be tired and exhausted. Makes you wonder what exactly we’re doing on a day off, right?
Deuce: Oh, recently Epel’s been joining us too. He’s got a lot more guts than you’d expect from his appearance.
Deuce: …I’ve always liked riding around on Magical Wheels with my fellow comrades, and that goes for jogging too.
Deuce: Running with everyone versus by yourself is just so much more satisfying and gives the best feeling.
Deuce: Ah… B-But I do more than just training on my days off. I take care to study too!
Screen: Thank you for letting me listen to your stories. Once again, happy birthday!

Update: I got better images 🙌
NRC Newspaper interview Birthday interview feature
~Ruggie Edition~
Part 1:
Option: Happy birthday
Ruggie: Thanks! Hehehe, birthdays are just the best.
Ruggie: Actually, I’ve given a bunch of birthday presents to others.
Ruggie: Of course, I wanted to help celebrate my dear friends’ birthdays…
Ruggie: …Sike, no it’s so they pay me back on my own birthday!
Ruggie: ‘Cause they’re from well off families, the presents I get are plentiful and top-notch.
Ruggie: Last year my hands were full of gifts. Lookin’ forward for this year’s too~!
Screen: Please share any memories with your family around your birthday.
Ruggie: My family? My mom joined the stars in the sky shortly after I was born…
Ruggie: My dad left claiming he’d be away for work but never came back since. Got now idea where he’s at now…
Ruggie: But if we talking memories, I spent a lot of time with my grandma.
Ruggie: At home, those days food was hard to come by, so we couldn’t buy any fancy cakes.
Ruggie: Instead, I looked forward to the donuts grandma would make me every year.
Ruggie: Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside! They were simple but I’d just wolf ‘em down.
Ruggie: I earned some extra income from a part-time job, and I was able to buy some decent ingredients. We’d pour melted chocolate over them, add some almonds on top just to give them a slight rich flavor.
Ruggie: I buy cake now but, but on my birthday, I feel an itch to eat some donuts.
Screen: She must be a wonderful grandma.
Ruggie: Hehehe. Right? She’s a nice, but stubborn, prideful grandma.
--
Part 2:
Screen: What sort of foods do you like?
Ruggie: Like I was talking about earlier, my favorite are donuts!
Ruggie: Though, I’ll gladly eat unspoiled meat off the bone and the bone itself.
Ruggie: …What? Did you think I was joking?
Ruggie: We hyenas have strong jaws, so we can chew through not just meat, but thick bones too.
Ruggie: If you don’t believe me, treat me to some meat on a bone. I’ll gobble the bone and whole right before your eyes!
Screen: Is there anything you value greatly?
Ruggie: MONEY!
Screen: Is there anything else besides that?
Ruggie: Huh? If there’s something else…? Probably my warthog piggy bank.
Ruggie: When I was young, some rich family tossed it out and it ended up in my hands.
Ruggie: Thinking I could sell it, I brought them to a secondhand store, but they couldn’t decide on a price, so I ended up keeping it.
Ruggie: Whenever you put a coin into its open mouth, it’d make a happy noise and start playing a fun tune.
Ruggie: it was just as happy about saving up money… So, I just got more attached to it.
Ruggie: On top of that, I heard there’s a meerkat one from the same series. I’d like to get my hands on it some day and sit it next to it.
--
Part 3
Screen: Please tell me what kind of impression your dorm leader gives.
Ruggie: Huh? About Leona-san? Hmm…
Ruggie: He’s only lived with other servants, so he seems pretty used to using others.
Ruggie: He works people too hard but there’s benefits in it for me too, so it’s worth working for him.
Screen: What sort of benefits?
Ruggie: First are the financial aspects. Leona-san often gives me stuff he doesn’t need anymore… It honestly is so handy!
Ruggie: I’ll get some useful things. If I think anyone else might need it, I’ll sell—er, give it to them.
Ruggie: Second are the academic aspects. In exchange for labor, he’ll help me with schoolwork I’m stuck on.
Ruggie: Before enrolling into Night Raven College, I only had the most basic of knowledge…
Ruggie: I wasn’t sure how this so-called “studying” worked, so in the beginning my grades were pretty bad.
Ruggie: But, thanks to Leona giving me reference books, past exam questions, and advice, my grades are now below average!
Ruggie: Awesome, right? It’s hard starting from the very bottom to reach average grades~
Ruggie: Goes to show it’s important to keep powerful people in arm’s reach. Gotta snatch up whatever might be useful whenever you can.
Screen: How do you spend your time during long breaks?
Ruggie: Hmmm…. Besides going home, I get sucked into part-time work. There’s a lot of jobs that’ll let you live on site and provide meals.
Ruggie: Like working on staff at a resort in the summer or working as a ski instructor in the winter.
Ruggie: There’s all kinds of customers and staff and it’s fun meeting new people.
Ruggie: I can now do simple greetings and price haggling in over 10 different languages.
Ruggie: If I ever meet some famous magician by chance, it’d come in handy for making connections!
Screen: Thank you for letting me listen to your stories.
Screen: Once again, happy birthday.

Azul Ashengrotto Birthday SSR Story Translation
NRC Newspaper Interview
Birthday Interview Feature
~Azul Edition~
Option: ---Happy birthday.
Azul: Why why, thank you.
Screen: How is the party?
Azul: I’m fortunate to say it’s quite enjoyable. The liveliness of it reminds me of birthday parties from my home.
Screen: Would you normally have this many gathered for parties at home?
Azul: Yes. My family operates a high-class restaurant.
Azul: In year’s past, on my birthday, we’d close the store and celebrate with my family and all the members of the staff.
Azul: Lavish decorations and music… Best of all, with the biggest table of the restaurant lined filled with all of my favorite dishes.
Azul: “Eat that. Eat this”…
Azul: Pondering on it now, I should have said it was too much…
Azul: But to a simple-minded child at the time, I was more than pleased.
Screen: What kind of people is your family? Please tell me a bit about them.
Azul: My mother is the one who operates the restaurant. In the beginning, she ran it herself and it started small…
Azul: When I could understand more about my surroundings, the restaurant had already grown to employ a large staff of professionals and became the most famous restaurant in the Coral Sea.
Azul: Not only in cooking, but she had talent in management as well.
Azul: She has keen interest in the Monstro Lounge as well. Amazing to see me take after my parent, don’t you think?
Azul: Next would be my step-father… He’s from my mother’s second marriage, therefore there’s no blood relationship.
Azul: He was a lawyer, and they met when my mother was filing for divorce.
Azul: You never quite sure what the world will bring, you could say.
Azul: Usually he’s a kind, sincere individual but… when it comes to work, he’s shrewd.
Azul: Often, he told me about laws and how to compose contracts. We all get along quite well, and I hold much respect for him.
Azul: Lastly, there is my grandmother. All members of my family are magicians, but her magic is especially superior.
Azul: She’d use her magic to help those in the vicinity with any wavering issues.
Azul: Yes… She’s a benevolent person, just like myself.
Azul: We may all have different personalities in my family, but we each have our own powerful abilities… We’re certainly a prideful family.
To be continued…
Part 2:
Screen: Please expand on your fixations with Monstro Lounge.
Azul: Hm, if I had to mention one thing, it’d be the tableware.
Azul: It’s not just the flavor of the cuisine, but the presentation that is imperative.
Azul: No matter delectable the food, there’s a loss of appeal when on a poor dish.
Azul: As such, at Monstro Lounge we use only the highest quality brand tableware.
Azul: Thinking back on it, when preparing to open the shop, every day was troublesome.
Azul: Gathering information from famous restaurants, visiting different tableware making vendors…
Azul: Carefully looking over the sample pieces…
Azul: Well, it was a grueling experience, but we were able to gather wonderful tableware pieces.
Screen: That sort of fixation… I never realized.
Azul: Hehe… That’s reasonable. If you new the prices associated, you wouldn’t be holding my teacup so freely.
Azul: There’s no need to know the costs of the tableware.
Azul: The design of the lounge is to give off entirely an air of luxury.
Azul: Though… After the pain of getting the tableware, Floyd will occasionally poorly handle a dish and shatter it.
Azul: I warn him time and time again… Good grief, what a problematic person.
Screen: It seems to be troublesome.
Azul: Well, I do have my breaks.
Screen: Breaks… How so?
Azul: I read in my room.
Azul: To relax, I dim down the lights, and read autobiographies from business individuals I’ve borrowed from the library.
Azul: As well, my room is filled with my collectables and decorated to my liking...
Azul: When I look around my room, it calms my nerves and makes for a relieving experience.
To be continued…
Part 3:
Screen: What are your hobbies?
Azul: Coin collecting. It’s been my hobby since I was young.
Screen: Please share how it started.
Azul: How it started… Ahh, I remember now. When I was a child, I picked up some coins from a nearby sunken ship.
Azul: At first, I thought it was nothing unusual; that it was just money from land but…
Azul: As I looked into it, I found out they were of 100 published commemorative coins from a monarchy.
Azul: The coin’s face value was 100 madol.
Azul: But to collectors, one coin could pull in 500,000 madol!
Azul: When I came to know of the coin’s rarity, I started collecting them.
Azul: The coins' history and how they are minted, they're worth more than the value stamped on them... Don't you think that's enthralling?
Screen: It is enthralling. How many coins do you have now?
Azul: About 200. For particular coins I like, I display them in cases.
Azul: Incidentally, the value of the coins is influenced by the market and highly sought after. It’s a great hobby if you want to invest in building assets.
Screen: Do you have any other hobbies?
Azul: Hmm… Another thing would be board games.
Azul: Shortly after the entrance ceremony, I toured around the clubs and found my way to the board game club.
Azul: There I found Idia-san…’s younger brother Ortho there.
Azul: There I introduced myself like a businessman.
Azul: “This can help build my business power!” is what I thought to myself at the time, and I joined the club.
Azul: The club is mostly just playing games but…
Azul: When push comes to shove, I built up my courage considerably for matches.
Azul: More than anything, outwitting your opponent in intellect is very gratifying. Hehehe…
Screen: You have a wide range of interests.
Azul: You’ll never know what leads to a business opportunity.
Azul: It’s better to experience all kinds of things.
Screen: Thank you for talking to us about so much.
Screen: Again, happy birthday.

Floyd Leech Birthday SSR Story Translation

NRC Newspaper interview Birthday interview feature
~Floyd edition~
---
Part 1
Option: Happy birthday
Floyd: Ah, Koebi-chan came to celebrate too. Thanks~
Screen: Please let us know how you feel about everyone congratulating you.
Floyd: It’s festive so it’s fun.
Floyd: We’d have parties at home, but they weren’t this rowdy.
Floyd: It’s not stiff or formal, so I like this.
Screen: I heard you have candy reserves in your room, is that true?
Floyd: Huh? You don’t know, Koebi-chan? How even when you eat dinner, before sleepin’ you get hungry?
Floyd: Me and Jade are still growin’ ya know~
Screen: Are there certain treats you like?
Floyd: Hmm… It changes depending on the day… Lately it’s been peppermint candy…
Floyd: Last week it was melon-flavored gummies… Yesterday I ate biscuits with almond in ‘em.
Floyd: I think I prefer the chewy stuff over the flavor. Also, stuff you can only eat on land.
Floyd: Koebi-chan, if you find any rare treats make sure to share with me, okay?
Screen: Okay. By the way, what kind of food do you like?
Floyd: That is… Takoyaki! Ah, do you know what Takoyaki is?
Floyd: Huh, you know, Koebi-chan? Even though there’s not many at school who know, you do?
Floyd: The other day, after closing Monstro Lounge for the day, Jade and I had some with other dorm members.
Floyd: Flippin’ em over was pretty tricky but after some practice they were really good.
Floyd: It’s named Takoyaki but, you can put in stuff besides octopus in case you get bored.
Screen: When the time comes, what ingredients would you like to try?
Floyd: First shrimp and cheese! Then sausage, and oysters…
Floyd: Tomatoes, broccoli, strawberries, fresh cream, chocolate, anchovies, potato chips, konjac jelly…
Screen: There’s a lot you’d like to try out.
Floyd: Yeah yeah. In the end we’ll test who can make it the strangest…. It’s laughable how disgusting it is!
Floyd: Azul is a stickler about wastin’ food so we gotta make sure to eat it all.
Floyd: Next time, you should join us, Koebi-chan. It’s a promise.
Part 2
Screen: You usually have your collar open, is it uncomfortable to have it buttoned?
Floyd: Not uncomfy, more like too irritating. I may be good at stranglin’ but it’s not exactly my taste.
Floyd: When I came to shore, I didn’t like the clothes. It’s like always havin’ seaweed clingin’ to your body.
Floyd: Plus, you know how ya gotta wash your clothes right after wearin’ them?
Floyd: I was thinkin’ why humans gotta do something that’s such a pain.
Floyd: But now I like pickin’ out my clothes. It’s fun wearin’ different colors.
Floyd: Koebi-chan did ya know? The In the sea you can see a bunch of different dark colors.
Floyd: Besides clothes, you can wear shoes and accessories… It’s fun dressin’ up differently on land~
Floyd: But, after buyin’ so much, storin’ it in my room’s getting troublesome.
Floyd: Jade’s room’s always clean and got some spare room so I ask him to leave some of my stuff there.
Floyd: But he always says, “No.”
Floyd: Ahhh, I wonder if they’d let me use another dorm room for storage.
Screen: You collect anything you like?
Floyd: Ehh? Jade and Azul’s got their plant’s ‘n’ coins they like to collect…
Floyd: I get bored easily, so I don’t care much for any collectin’… Oh, that’s right.
Floyd: I wasn’t trying to collect ‘em for anythin’, but the other day I bought some moray eel goods.
Screen: What sort of stuff did you buy?
Floyd: A loose fittin’ graphic T-shirt, a mascot keyholder with a funny face.
Floyd: Since there’s a legend about the Sea Witch’s capable moray eel underlings,
Floyd: At sea, moray eels have a pretty tough image. Plus, we’re carnivorous.
Floyd: But on land, the moray eel goods they sell up here are weirdly cute so it’s interestin’.
Floyd: Makes you think about how humans see moray eels.
Floyd: I bought the T-shirt and gave one to Jade and he happily wore it. Aha~
Floyd: Azul said not to go out wearin’ it but it’s so cute. Isn’t that terrible~?
Part 3
Screen: Between your mermaid form and human form, which one do you like?
Floyd: When I was human form, I didn’t know how to walk, and my body was so heavy…
Floyd: I felt like turnin’ back to my mermaid form right away and headin’ back to sea.
Floyd: But recently, I’ve been thinkin’ this form ain’t too bad.
Floyd: At Coral Sea, there’s nothin’ but other merfolk but at this school there’s so many different people.
Floyd: So, I’m never left bored.
Floyd: Also… I can do fun things I can only do at sea like basketball and dancin’.
Floyd: Lately I’ve gotten into parkour~
Screen: What’s parkour?
Floyd: Oh, you don’t know? You kick off handrails or walls, and climb up buildings~
Floyd: It’s a sport where ya gotta move around any obstacles as much as ya can to get to the goal.
Screen: Seems difficult.
Floyd: I don’t think about whether it’s hard or easy.
Floyd: Since I was a kid, I liked playing around things like obstacle courses.
Screen: Obstacle courses at sea…?
Floyd: Yeah. You decide the goal, then swim through the planned route in the sunken ship.
Floyd: Sunken ships have a lot of broken places here and there, so ya gotta swim around a lot of obstacles~
Floyd: To not let your swimmin’ speed drop, ya wanna avoid the obstacles with the minimum movement possible.
Floyd: Then, the first one to reach the goal wins!
Floyd: …Come on, isn’t that like parkour? So that’s why I like it.
Floyd: It’s fun pickin’ up a new skill, plus it’s like swimmin’ up on land.
Floyd: There’s no right or wrong way to avoid ‘em or any strategy, so it’s kinda more…freeing?
Floyd: For me, I hate havin’ any strict rules…
Floyd: Oh, but the other day I overslept and used parkour to enter the classroom through the window. The teacher was pissed.
Floyd: Aren’t I impressive for workin’ so hard to not be late? Next time I’ll try not to get caught. Aha~
Screen: Thank you for letting me listen to your stories.
Screen: Once again, happy birthday.

Jade Leech Birthday SSR Story Translation
I am still studying Japanese so I do not 100% guarantee accuracy in this translation. The gist should be there.
NRC Newspaper interview Birthday interview feature
~Jade edition~
--
Part 1:
Option: Happy birthday.
Jade: Thank you very much.
Screen: Please let us know how you feel about everyone congratulating you.
Jade: I am very pleased to be here alongside Floyd for everyone to celebrate with us.
Jade: However, hearing everyone congratulate us makes me uncharacteristically bashful.
Screen: Did you receive any messages from your parents?
Jade: Yes. Floyd and I received a message addressed to us from our mother.
Jade: “Jade-san, Floyd-san, are you eating properly every day?”
Jade: “Its understandable you are having a fun time up on land, but please come visit every once in a while.”
Jade: It seems we have been weighing on her mind as of this present state.
Jade: That being said, this message is not anything abnormal since we keep in contact regularly.
Jade: Ever since we were young, our mother has a bit of a worrywart.
Screen: Please tell me about your different birthday memories.
Jade: Memories? …I see. Then, allow me to tell you about a time we were children.
Jade: During Floyd and I’s birthdays, not just our relatives but our father’s work colleagues would rush to visit—
Jade: We would receive a mountain of presents.
Screen: What sort of things did you receive?
Jade: Sweets, seaweed eye masks, toys you can only acquire on land—we received quite a variety.
Jade: Though, there would be luxury consumables mixed in that children would have no business needing…
Jade: They were not for us, but to bribe our fath… No, they seemed to be presents to our father from desperate people to win him over.
Jade: For such profound gifts, he would always obtain their signature.
Jade: He would have them sign certificates stating, ‘this was well-intentioned present, and we will not request for anything in return.’
Jade: As our father, he’s very similar to our mother in how he’d worry about such things.
Jade: Well, they say a man and his wife are very similar… It’s good to see them get along with one another.
Screen: I would like to visit your parents’ home someday…
Jade: It is simply an independent business? One that dives into a wide, frivolous sort of trades… It’s very ordinary, you see.
Part 2:
Screen: What are your interests?
Jade: Terrariums.
Jade: There is such a profound meaning behind raising living things from land in transparent, water tank-like glass containers.
Screen: Please tell me what got you interested in terrariums.
Jade: I first heard about it from the Great Seven’s Sea Witch.
Jade: I heard a certain anecdote about how she kept living creatures in bottles.
Jade: Yearning to understand more about such a tremendous figure, I began to imitate such a practice.
Jade: Even in my hometown, I would raise many from within those bottles.
Screen: What is it that you like about terrariums?
Jade: Let me think… To be the one who is in control, perhaps.
Jade: I am responsible for maintaining peace in the world of this container.
Jade: Meaning, I decide what may live or die.
Jade: You could say being the maintainer for a terrarium is like being a ruler of a miniature garden.
Jade: Above anything else, nurturing it at my own pace helps put me to ease.
Jade: Nevertheless, not everything will always go as you planned.
Jade: Vegetation you harvested could suddenly wither, unexpected plants growing from dirt you collected from the mountains…
Jade: There is a certain charm when such unforeseen circumstances occur.
Screen: Are the unforeseen circumstances enjoyable?
Jade: Yes. After all, if everything when as you planned, that would simply be dull.
Jade: I still have little about living creatures on land, there is much I cannot predict in how they develop…
Jade: Because of that, I have a tremendous fascination with terrariums.
Part 3:
Screen: If you have any memories connected to your earring, please tell me.
Jade: Oya, you are curious about what I have on my left ear?
Jade: Heheh, that is fine. I will tell you. It is a bit of a long story but…
Jade: Before entering middle school, Floyd and I were challenged by a sturgeon.
Jade: That fish had such beautiful scales.
Jade: We were intrigued and asked if we won, that they would give us their scales.
Jade: As a result… I’m sure you understand?
Jade: Yes. Winning without any issues or injury, we received their beautiful scales.
Jade: We had these produced, and now Floyd and I wear them as earrings.
Screen: They are very pretty.
Jade: Thank you very much. Hearing you praise them so makes me feel content.
Jade: One of the verses from the Sea Witch’s spells mentions sturgeons…*
(Note: In JP the spell said “Sturgeon of the Caspian Sea” not what was said in English)
Jade: As such, the Coral Sea regards sturgeon scales as a popular good luck charm.
Screen: What else is popular at Coral Sea?
Jade: Let’s see… Oh. Fireworks are extremely popular.
Jade: When the shore sends up fireworks, much merfolk will reach the surface in appreciation.
Jade: For Floyd and I, on days of the fireworks, we would go up close to the shore and play there.
Jade: Because everyone looked toward the sky, the people on land would seldom notice us.
Jade: By the way, merfolk of the olden days would think of fireworks as jellyfish in the sky.
Jade: I would say that’d be too flashy for jellyfish but… Hehe, it’s an amusing misunderstanding.

Silver Ceremonial Robes Translation
My translation may not be 100% accurate but it should give the general gist ;;;;
Under the cut!
EP1:
“I want to return their kindness”
Courtyard
Idia: Ahh~ I don’t wanna. Why does the magical shift tournament have to be on TV?
Idia: They show my face in some pretty shameful replays. I’d like to avoid that…
Idia: Right now is 7:00PM… The school store should just barely be open.
Idia: I’ll buy a welding mask, then tomorrow I can hide my face the entire day…!
(rustle rustle)
Idia: Hii!! S-S-Something moved--!
Silver: You there! State your name at once!
Idia: Hii?! I-I-I-I’m no one! Ah, Ahhhh, I’m not anyone suspicious…!
Idia: I-I-I-I’m Ignihyde’s I-Idia Shroud!!
Idia: So, please, put down that baton in your hand…!
Silver: Ahh… Idia-senpai. That would imply you are not anyone suspicious then.
Idia: (whisper) I-I think the one popping out of nowhere brandishing a baton is a lot more suspicious though…
Silver: Anyway, what are you doing wandering around here at this hour? Usually, you’re at your dorm eating dinner at this time right?
Idia: I-I was on my way to go buy a welding mask…
Silver: Do you need it for a mechanical engineering-related experiment?
Idia: Urgh… Well what about you, w-w-w-why are you walking around in ceremonial robes…!
Silver: These clothes are most suitable for slipping around during the twilight.
Silver: It inhibits my mobility, but due to certain circumstances I don’t have my dormitory clothes available.
Idia: Eh….Eh? Like a stealth move?
Idia: S-Silver, are you actually some sort of ninja?
Silver: Hmm…. What’s a ninja?
Idia: They’re rumored to come from a far East country. They are people who conduct covert actions, intelligence assessment, and other dirty work.
Idia: Have you never heard of shuriken or fire jutsus before?
Idia: It’s a popular theme for anime and in games their jobs are on-par with that of samurai!
Silver: Idia-senpai… You’re suddenly talkative.
Idia: Ah… Sorry ‘bout my otaku rambling…
Silver: I understand you explanation… But unfortunately I’m not this ‘ninja’ you speak of.
Idia: Seeing you deny that with such a straight face kinda makes me embarrassed on my part though…
Idia: Wait… Silver, what are you aiming at, wondering the courtyard at night…?
Silver: Tomorrow is the Magical Shift Tournament. The school will be open, and immoral people will be among the crowd of normal people from different countries.
Silver: Undoubtedly, assassins will take advantage of the crowds to slip in and look for any possible openings.
Silver: The safety of Malleus-sama is of the utmost priority.
Idia: That’s overreacting! Besides, Malleus has a strong high rank cheat, isn’t that overprotecting him?
Silver: I serve Malleus-sama, who will someday become king of the fairies and rule over the Valley of Thorns.
Silver: Before coming to this school, if he took one step out of the castle, he had guards with him.
Idia: Hmmmm…
Silver: If by any chance something happened to Malleus-sama, there would be diplomatic discourse
Silver: This is in no way overprotection.
Idia: W-W-What’s with this heavy scaled topic…
Idia: I’ve only heard about assassins and diplomatic discourse in games though…?
Silver: This is no game. This is our reality.
Idia: W-W-W-W-Wow…! There’s always, always been lines I wanted to try reciting during these times…!
Silver: …? If you want to say it, why not go ahead?
Idia: Nah, if you were to say it it’d probably fit but if I tried I’d probably look like some sort of wannabe.
Silver: I see… I don’t quite understand it all, but I apologize.
Silver: Well then, I will return to my station. Be careful not to get mistaken as anyone suspicious.
Silver: Currently, I, along with Sebek and Lilia-senpai are patrolling the school after all.
Idia: R-Roger… I’ll follow your example and use my stealth mode where I can. L-Later.
Silver: Yes, see you.
Silver: …I should meet with Sebek and Lilia-senpai and let them know about Idia-senpai wandering around the courtyard area.
Silver: It’ll be a huge commotion around the area if he runs into Sebek.
EP2:
Courtyard
Idia: *sigh*… Finally class is over. Really, today’s weather is too nice… It’s rough for a shut-in like me…
Idia: On days like these, I’ll quickly confine myself and return to my room and complete my daily quests.
???: ……
Idia: …Hm? Someone there?
Idia: S-S-S-S-Silver?! Why’s he collapsed in the courtyard?!
(leans in…)
Idia: Oh… maybe he’s just sleeping…? Sheesh, I was so surprised I took damage…
Idia: …Though, he’s got some good features. No doubt he’d be popular~
Idia: His face when he’s sleeping looks like that of a prince, so dazzling. There’s even small animals around him…
Idia: He seems so different now compared to the day before the Magical Shift Tournament
Idia: I was scared of getting hit with that baton too…
Idia: Now seeing him like this, I wouldn’t believe he would be the type who likes to get involved with anything.
Silver: Hm… Nn…
Idia: Hii! I-I-Is he w-waking up?!
Silver: *yawn*… I thought I sensed someone. It was you, Idia-senpai…
Idia: Y-Y-Y-Y-You got it all wrong! I wasn’t at all staring at you while you slept!
Silver: ? Please settle down a bit before you speak. Everytime we’ve met you lurch in surprise.
Idia: That reaction was more due to my anti-socialness…
Idia: B-B-B-Before you were brandishing that baton. Anyone would be shocked from that.
Silver: Now that I hear it aloud that sounds only natural… I apologize for my actions last night before the Magical Shift Tournament.
Idia: Urgh… I feel bad seeing you sit there and apologize so sincerely…
Idia: S-Silver, you’re a bit of a strange one… To have such students who are so straightforward and loyal…
Silver: …Is that so?
Idia: Y-Yeah. To go to such an extent to go on night watch for their dorm leader, the students at Ignihyde would not ever do that.
Idia: …Hwah! M-M-M-Maybe The Dorm leader Malleus at Diasomnia dorm is one to rule with an iron fist?
Idia: I-If that’s the case, I can understand. Are you forced to do stuff like the night watches?
Silver: Such acts of reign of terror is not necessary at Diasomnia dorm. Just as the other night, the night watches of are our own volitions.
Silver: I’m not sure what all goes on with the students at Ignihyde dorm but, I will do what I can for the one I’ve sworn my loyalty to.
Silver: Right now, the reason I am alive today is all because of my father and Malleus-sama.
Silver: I want to someday return their kindness towards me.
Idia: Ohhh… The expression on your face was so cool, and for an otaku like me, I could feel the passion from your tone.
Idia: I can kinda sympathize.
Silver: In addition, I prefer to avoid any trouble for Malleus if any conflict were to arise between the human land and Valley of Thorns.
Silver: My power is nothing fancy, but I want to do what I can.
Silver: I was told many times by my father to avoid any warfare growing up…
Idia: Ohh… Such profound words.
Idia: That ‘father’, he must be a strong man with a steel-like body and mind.
Silver: Yes. My father was a guard who served as a lord of the Valley of Thorns.
Silver: I’ve heard he earned the queen’s favor due to his ability to fight in battle.
Silver: At this time he is retired, but he was a warrior who has been rewarded medals due to his actions of throwing himself into battle multiple times.
Silver: I’m sure I cannot begin to imagine the harsh experiences he had…
Idia: W-What is this. This is starting to sound like an open world RPG…
Silver: Open world?
Idia: I-Internet thing. Sorry, it’s something you commoners wouldn’t understand.
Silver: No, I know about online games. My father often stays up late to play such games.
Idia: Hm?! Your father just suddenly turned degenerate?!
Silver: My father has always liked those sort of trends. Recently he’s been getting into MagiCam it seems.
Idia: E-Ehhh?! He just went from a retired strong Royal guard to crumble down from there…!
Lilia: Heeey Silver. What are you doing sauntering around there?
Lilia: You promised to accompany me after school for an uber difficult quest.
Silver: Fath… Lilia-senpai. Sorry. I’ll be there right away.
Lilia: Hm…? I was wondering who it was there, and it happens to be Idia. You two are a rare combination.
Idia: Ah, ah… L-L-L-Lilia, this is, uh…
Silver: I had dozed off here earlier and met him by chance.
Silver: Idia-senpai, see you around.
Idia: Y-yeah, see you…
Idia: …Talking with Silver about his dad was interesting.
Idia: Even though he was an honored warrior from the Valley of thorns he’s a heavy internet user and uses MagiCam lolol
Idia: If someone like him really does exist, even me, who hates people, would wanna see him with my own eyes…
Diasomnia Dorm – Hallway
Lilia: I’ve gathered materials to implement my new items. Next week is this season’s event. I’ll be so busy~
Silver: You really seem like you’re having fun when talking about those games.
Lilia: When I was a youngin we didn’t have these online games.
Lilia: Dwellers from all around the globe can cross borders for entertainment. It has become quite peaceful times.
Silver: That’s true. For you to live in a peaceful time where you can enjoy games…
Silver: We definitely must protect it.
Lilia: …Look at you talk so cheekily
Lilia: Now then, let’s ride on that sentiment there Silver and dive into my games to my heart’s content. They’ll be no sleeping tonight~
Silver: P-Please give me a break, father…

Azul Labcoat Translation
EP 1:
“I have a favor to ask”
Ramshackle Dorm
???: Please excuse me.
Grim: Hmm? It looks like someone’s here. Hey, Yuu, I’m gonna check it out!
Foyer
Azul: Yuu-san, Grim-san. Pardon the intrusion.
Grim: Gege—Azul! What’re you doing at Ramshackle dorm?
Azul: Oh, you don't need to make such an unpleasant expression there.
Azul: I’ve not come today to collect any debt. I’ve come to earnestly request your assistance.
Choice:
Request?
This can only end up badly.
Azul: May I ask of you to assist me with Ortho-san’s maintenance?
Grim: Ortho’s maintenance?
Grim: Why would those guys at Ignihyde come to you from Octavinelle for that?
Azul: I am a member of the same club with Ortho-san’s elder brother, Idia-san. In the aforementioned club, a discussion arose.
Azul: He mentioned, “I’d like to swap out a part of his body to upgrade his performance, but I can’t do it alone.”
Grim: The idea of Idia asking you a favor seems pretty reckless…
Azul: It is because he is acquainted to few others. The thought of him bringing it up to me must have took a considerable amount of courage.
Azul: But he was determined to break out of his shell for his precious younger brother.
Azul: For Idia-san to work do his best to support that “younger brother” Ortho-san with a machine for a body…
Azul: It was a pleasant tale. The beautiful story of brotherly love had struck me to my very core.
Azul: Wouldn’t you two also consider offering you aid?
Grim: Not at all.
Azul: Oh, straight to the point there.
Grim: This has nothing to do with me! Why do we have to help anyway?
Azul: Oh, I’ve misjudged you…or not. I expected you to express as such.
Azul: Incidentally, Grim-san. The other evening, what were you up to?
Grim: The other day? The other day you mean… Ah! Y-You…
Azul: I felt it would be rude to come empty-handed, so I’ve brought a gift. It’s a photo I took in the staff room the other day.
Azul: It displays the disorderly state Trein-sensei’s pet was found in following your quarrel in the staff room.
Grim: N-N-N-N-No you’re wrong. I-It wasn’t me.
Choice:
That’s a sorry excuse.
Photographed right on the act.
Grim: But… But it’s Lucius’ fault. He took my bread for dinner and just ran off!
Azul: Ahh, how troublesome. It seems Sensei is now seeking out the offender as well.
Azul: I’m just so shook up worrying about Ortho-san…
Azul: I might carelessly drop this photo in front of Sensei you know?
Azul: But if I could have help with Ortho-san’s situation, I’m sure I’d manage to keep this a secret.
Grim: Of course, we’d love to help you!! Right, Yuu!?
Choice:
I’ll be a poor supervisor.
If I can be of help, of course.
Azul: Ahh, wonderful! Then let’s leave for Ignihyde at once.
Ignihyde Dorm – Lounge
Idia: W-Wel-Wel…come.
Ortho: Everyone, thank you for coming here for me! Onii-san is very grateful as well.
Azul: Oh no, we must help each other out in times of need.
Idia: Azul… Is this really okay?
Azul: Fufufu. Did I not say to leave this to me?
Azul: Now, time is money. Let’s get started with the operations. Idia-san, have you finished the preparations?
Idia: Ready when you are.
Grim: What are we supposed to do?
Idia: Y-You two will be the operation force… You’ll be doing stuff like preparing, removing, and attaching Ortho’s part.
Grim: If that’s all, would you really need us to be here?
Idia: Ah, I-I-I will be doing the programming and motion control… Ortho’s framework is very complex and…um…
Azul: Ortho-san has a number of parts, doing the work alone would be impossible…is what I think he’s trying to say.
Idia: Y-Yeah…that.
Ortho: I’ve been really looking forward to this new update. I look forward to working with everyone!
Azul: Fufufu. I look forward to working with you as well.
Azul: Now then, would you please lie down. We won’t do anything excessive.
Azul: Changing out parts is similar to surgery, is it not? If anything happens, that would be dreadful.
Grim: That Azul is acting really nice towards Ortho.
Azul: I’m kind to everyone though?
Azul: To both Grim-san and Yuu-san.
Grim: Says the guy who blackmailed me with a secret photo he took!
-----
EP2
Ignihyde Dorm – Lounge
Azul: …I’ve entered the specified code. What should I do next?
Idia: Right now I’ll turn the system off and detach the external lock on his back… When I’m done, I’ll give the signal.
Grim: …Hey, Yuu. Do we really need to be here?
Grim: Azul’s taking care of the complicated parts for assembly, and he’s good with his hands so there’s no problems there.
Choice:
We’re probably more in the way
Maybe he didn’t want to do it alone
Idia: …The system’s turned off. It’s open.
Azul: Now Grim, I’ve kept you waiting! It’s your turn now.
Grim: Wha, me?
Azul: The exterior of his back has been opened. Please peek around inside.
Grim: sniff-sniff…. Ortho really is a machine. It’s all metal and cords inside.
Azul: Towards the very interior, there’s a blue glowing part right? That is the part we will be replacing.
Azul: I ask of you to remove this part and insert the new part within its place.
Grim: T-This seems like a really important role… Why don’t any of you guys do it?
Azul: Idia-san is in taking care of the programming, and I need to insert the new password every 15 seconds.
Azul: Unfortunately, both of our hands are tied up. …It’s a very strict security protocol.
Idia: I-I didn’t want my dear Ortho’s contents to get stolen, so I thought to up the security… heh.
Idia: I upped it too much and can’t operate on him alone! It needs improving.
Grim: You look like you’re having fun… Weird guy.
Azul: As we work on our tasks concurrently, Grim-san, you just need to quickly swap out the parts… Simple, yes?
Grim: Well if it’s just that much it should be fine. ‘Kay, I’ll just…
Azul: Oh. Be sure to not touch any other parts that aren’t being replaced…at all costs.
Grim: That sounds kinda fishy… What happens if I do touch them? I won’t get shocked will I?
Azul: Ahaha! Why of course not. Hey, Idia-san.
Idia: Yeah. If you touch it, you wouldn’t get shocked. But…
Grim: But?
Idia: The protection software will register you as a ‘threat’ and you’ll be attacked by a high magical energy output is all.
Grim: That’s not okay at all! That’s putting my own life on the line!
Grim: I absolutely want no part in this. I absolutely won’t do it!
Azul: Ah! I’m so shocked at your refusal I might just drop that “photo” in front of Trein-sensei…
Grim: Grr…. B-But getting attacked by that magical energy…
Azul: …I might just feel so grateful I may even pay you with a “high class canned tuna”.
Grim: Wha—That’s a great bargain! I’ll hold you to your word you know?!
Choice:
He’s so easily persuaded.
He’s powerless to canned tuna…
Grim: It’s important to put in great attention into detailed work. …Alright! Here I go!
Idia: The part came out easily. Good. Next is…
Grim: Here!
Azul: Splendid. Now simply toss in the new part… Ah, no, it’s installed.
Ortho: …
Grim: …
Ortho: “…Confirming new media attachment. Now loading.”
Idia: Alright we got it!!! Now we just gotta show what it’s got…! (1)
Grim: Haaaaah~~~! I was so nervous.
Idia: It gives a 10% increase in processing speed, so it should allow for heavy programs that were impossible before… Eheh.
Grim: That Idia is not listening to me at all… Show some appreciation here!
Choice:
Good work
You were cool.
Azul: Yes good work everyone. I will be taking the old removed part then.
Grim: Hey, you don’t need this dumb thing.
Grim: On top of that, Azul. We worked really hard here. You better get rid of that picture.
Grim: Also, that canned tuna! Don’t think I’ve forgotten about it.
Azul: Of course. I am a man of my word.
Azul: I will properly dispose of the photo and give you the canned tuna. I will absolutely not leave you with any resentment for today.
Azul: …I cannot allow this to cause trouble in the future, so would you please sign this?
Grim: Yeah! I’ve fulfilled my role, so you best not forget either.
Azul: Yes. We have an agreement.
Grim: Nyahaha. He’s getting’ rid of the proof and I get my paws on canned tuna. It was a great deal.
Ortho: -------Reboot complete. Program updated with no errors.
Ortho: …Everyone, thank you so much for today!
Grim: Yeah. Be grateful.
Ortho: To be satisfied with just one tuna can… Grim desires so little, he’s so nice!
Ortho: If Azul Ashengrotto sold the old part he was given, you could eat as many tuna cans as you liked.
Grim: Huh…?
Azul: Certainly not. It would be foolish to simply sell the famous genius Idia-san’s handmade magical parts.
Azul: I plan to utilize it under best conditions to increase its value.
Grim: Huh? Huh? With Ortho’s parts… H-How many tuna cans would it be worth?
Ortho: Who knows? Perhaps enough to fill the entire gymnasium with tuna cans?
Grim: Wh-What!?
Azul: Don’t underestimate it. If it was me, I could bring forth at least twice that in value.
Grim: Azul! You put me to such dangerous work, and just took the biggest prize for yourself!?
Choice:
He really cheated you there…
Aren’t you happy about getting your canned tuna?
Azul: There’s no harm. We both signed that splendid deal right? Alright, here’s your one can of high class canned tuna.
Grim: G-Grr~~!
Azul: Ahh, I’m so please to see you accept it with such pleasure.
------
Note: Idia uses an expression 腕の見せ所 which is similar to “Time to show what you’ve got”. He’s mostly just expressing his skillset here.
