My Pinkie Pie human and pony redesign/AU!

For her pony redesign, I wanted to incorporate her bouncy/exciting personality more than her original design! Her mane has tons of confetti in it; whether it’s on purpose or just leftover from her parties is unknown! She believes that life is one big party, so why not celebrate it all the time! She always carries secret party snacks and supplies in her mane, and no one has any idea how that even works. Her mane also naturally has highlights of light blue and pastel yellow, which she absolutely loves! When she was younger, her parents wanted to dye her hair so she fit into the family more, but she refused every time! Similarly, her hooves are naturally the same colors! They’re also much rounder and less hard than other ponies’ hooves. Although it doesn’t have and detrimental health effects, it can cause her hooves to get sore more easily than others. She has a solution for when that happens though, to fly! If you didn’t know, Pinkie Pie was originally supposed to be a Pegasus in G4, but it was changed for unknown reasons. Besides that, I feel like Pegasus fits her much better than Earth Pony, much how like Fluttershy makes more sense as an Earth Pony rather than a Pegasus! Having wings helps tremendously with her party planning! She’s able to transport things much faster, and surprise parties are a breeze when you can fly over the pony that the party is for! Another thing about Pegasi is that it’s a recessive genetic trait! That is why her parents and siblings are all Earth Ponies. The same applies to Fluttershy! She got the dominant trait of no wings. Moving on, Pinkie’s ears are pierced and she loves to wear festive earrings when she gets the chance!! Her ears are very sensitive to the usual metals in earrings though (like nickel!), so she can’t wear the festive ones for very long. Due to this, she usually doesn’t wear earrings unless it’s a special occasion!

For Pinkie’s human design, I really wanted to incorporate her love of all things party! I especially wanted to incorporate it into her outfit! I feel like she definitely be into the 80’s, she thinks of it as the ultimate party decade, and she likes to dress similar to people back then! She often wears leg warmers and headbands, and sometimes even wears arm warmers! Her shirt has her favorite drink on it; strawberry milk! She imagines it comes from pink cows and won’t let anyone change her mind. I also thought it would be cute if she were a little mismatched to fit her chaotic personality! Her leg warmers and shoes are flip-flopped on each side, which gives her a very unique look! Her leg warmers are also modeled after her blue and yellow highlights and hooves!

My Fluttershy human and pony redesign/AU!

For her pony design, I wanted to incorporate her interests into her design! I gave her softer tones for her skin and hair and gave her a few accessories like her butterfly clip! She’s actually pretty heavy-set, despite her looks! Her mother was an Earth Pony and her father a Pegasus, which is the reason! In my AU, Earth Ponies have much denser bones than Pegasi and Unicorns. They evolved to have denser and stronger bones due to the fact they’ve done heavy labour for centuries, and it helps prevent debilitating injuries like a broken back or legs! They also evolved to have much thicker skin for similar reasons. It helps prevent deep wounds, which could easily get infected since most Earth Ponies work in places that house lots of bacteria! Although the skin is thicker, it scars very easily and can be pretty heavy if you don’t have Earth Pony bones! Fluttershy inherited most of her traits from her mother, so she has both Earth Pony skin and bones. Though these traits really only affect her movement, the thicker skin helps with gardening. She doesn’t get pricked by roses or vines often, but when she does it’s not a big deal. She lives in a treehouse on the edge of the Everfree Forest to be with the animals and nature. Although she enjoys the semi-isolation, she loves to hang out with her friends when she has time! As for her cutie mark, I wanted to make it fit her actual skills more. She’s never really been all about bugs, and is mostly seen with mammals, birds, and reptiles! I changed it to a paw to better fit her, and her markings resemble vines!

For her human redesign, I’ve always imagined her as a very sickly person. Because of that, she has a severe anemic disorder that developed over the years. It’s partially genetic and partially influenced by her diet! She’s strictly vegan, which lowers her salt intake severely and causes her to be malnourished. I always imagined she’d wear “hippie-ish” clothes if she was a human. I also imagine she’s really into crystals! She doesn’t believe they can treat illnesses or anything like that, but she loves to carry different ones in her pocket depending on how she’s feeling. She sees it as more of a hobby than a spiritual belief, but of course she still respects those who do see it as a spiritual belief!

My Twilight Sparkle human and pony redesign/AU!

For her pony redesign, I wanted to focus on making her more “magical/ethereal” looking. I incorporated that into her design because in my AU, large amounts of magic/power can drastically change a ponies appearance! Of course, the severity depends on the pony’s personality, their attachment to their old life (before they were an Alicorn), and the amount of magic/power they acquire. Also, in my AU all Unicorns have curved horns, and the length is a spectrum! In most cases, the longer the horn the more powerful a ponies magic is! Obviously there are some exceptions due to genetics playing a role in the length as well (including mutations/disorders). Another trait specific to Unicorns is their tail! Like with their horns, there can be many exceptions! For example, if a filly has one Unicorn parent and one Earth Pony parent, they could have either tail, or even a mixture of both! I also decided to give Twilight some jewelry, as most royals historically have lots of gems/gold/etc. Her vision deteriorated over the years due to several reasons; 1-Reading for very long periods of time (4-10h) 2-Reading in the dark often 3-Holding books very close to her eyes. That’s why I gave her glasses! Although she probably won’t ever see perfectly again, the glasses help her a ton. As for her cutie mark, I thought making it more “magic-y” could be fun!

Her human design is very similar, except for the fact that she’s a human and not a pony of course! She has vitiligo in place of her swirly magic markings and glasses, and I incorporated her cutie mark by giving her a little star necklace! In this AU, she’s very interested in space, hence the spacey vest. She also loves skirts with built in shorts, stating that “They’re comfy and efficient!”. She says the same about her shoes! She’s always had some sensory issues, so she only has one pair of socks. Don’t worry though, she has a ton of the exact same pair! She’s very hygienic, but not a germaphobe. Speaking of germs, she loves biology (almost as much as space)! I kept her hair streaks and gave her a messenger bag! It holds all her study materials, and she takes it with her everywhere.
