How to take extra care of your skin in summers?
We often get busy in our routine and tend to neglect our skin which results in damaged and rough skin. Like all our other body parts our skin needs equal care and maintenance. Especially in this burning summer we can easily harm our skin if we don’t pay attention to its care. You must apply sunscreen lotion while going out in this scorching heat and also try to wear a hat and sunglasses when possible. However along with these our skin needs extra protection and attention to stay healthy and nourished for a longer period of time.
Here are some tips to look after your skin to keep it protected for a longer period of time:
· Identify your skin type; it is essential for all of us to recognise our skin type and treat it accordingly. For example people with a darker skin tone are likely to resist a sun burn for a longer period of time as compared to people with a lighter skin tone. However a sun burn can damage any type of skin and therefore one must take all the safety measures to keep it protected.
· Avoid hanging out at peak hours: it might sound upsetting but sun is said to be at its peak from 10am- 3pm and you should try to avoid exposure to sunlight in these hours . However if it is necessary for you to go out in these hours then apply a good sunscreen to protect your skin from a sunburn. Also it is recommended to not take a sunbath in these hours to protect your skin.
· Consult a dermatologist regularly: getting your skin checked ever now and then is one of the ways to keep it healthy and nourished. A good skin care clinic Lahore has qualified dermatologist who can guide you well according to your skin type. You can also discuss your skin concerns with them freely without any hassle. They can also offer you a good number of skin care treatments that are advance and work well.
· Avoid direct exposure to the sun: The sun throws out UV rays and research says a 15 minutes exposure to these rays is enough to harm your skin! Therefore use sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses and maybe carry an umbrella to protect your skin all the time.
