I’ve never related more to a fictional character than I have to Laura Palmer. Reading her diary where she talks about wanting Bobby, but knowing that she can’t have that.
I’ve never connected to a song more than “Father” by The Front Bottoms when they sang “you were high school and I was just more like real life.”

And it’s awful to say it but I didn’t want it to be so serious. I want the high school drama and the amusement parks. I didn’t want the marriage and the taxes. It’s all so serious, paying rent, going to work. I want someone to win me a teddy bear. The fun dates and the matching pjs. I have these responsibilities I can’t ignore. I wanted the summer at the beach and I wanted to be wanted.

Why don’t the people that I like ever like me back? Why is life a constant series of rejecting and being rejected?

Since watering means giving something water but milking means extracting milk from something that must means that water's default is to give but milk's default is to take. So water must be inherently kind while milk is cruel

The audacity of a man to say “I love lesbian bars!” to me, a queer woman. Like some spaces are not for you guys.

It really is insane how many people engage with art on a pure enjoyment level. Theyll go to a movie and the only deciding factor on whether or not they liked it is "was i bored or confused during that 90-120 minutes?" Youll talk to people about a book or show or film you both enjoyed and theyll have absolutely nothing to say about how it made them feel, or what they think it was trying to impart to them. It begins and ends at "it was fun to watch/read" it drives me nuts

I hope you miss me sometimes. Just so I’m not the only one doing the missing.

And if you confront them about how badly they hurt you and they apologize, what then? Would it matter to you? They wanted to hurt you and they did. They knew you it upset you. And you can say your piece but then what? What does an apology mean? It means they’re sorry you are angry. It doesn’t mean they care that you are hurt.
