Sirena had been rushing to get out on the floor after her performance, eager to get her wings and such back on then see Coco dance. The blonde stumbled out from the dressing room, body freezing up instantly when she saw the woman’s lifeless body. Panic, fear, disgust, it all flooded her body in that moment, blinking, she turned towards the bar, eyes hunting for the man she loved. Sirena ran, between the screaming, frantic bodies, she ran to him. The blonde gripped onto his arm instantly, eyes wild and afraid. She didn’t say anything, couldn’t, she just wanted to disappear with him, but she knew they were trapped here before the security team even walked in the door.

— ❛ ┆ ɪɴ sɪᴛᴜᴀᴛɪᴏɴs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴛʜɪs, ʜᴇʀ ғɪsᴛs ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ʙᴀʟʟ ᴀɴᴅ sʜᴇ'ᴅ ʜɪᴛ ᴡʜᴀᴛᴇᴠᴇʀ offensive things was causing the array of emotions that lodged themselves painfully in her throat. unfortunately, hitting sirena was as off limits as hitting danya or her mother or her father or her nephew. she couldn’t do it. she wanted to. god, she WISHED, she could just land one good hit on the opposite blonde’s face and let out all of her disappointment, her self-doubt, her frustration and betrayal - but she couldn’t. shoulders sagging, saskia stile din her motions for a moment and just went dead; everything turned off and she knew in times like this, it was better to just feel nothing.
forcing a tight smile, the younger dancer shook her head. ‘ you know, you really don’t have to. remember: we’ve been going separate ways since you left. i’m pretty used to separate ways. i’m FINE. ’ everything about her plastic smile hurt; her cheeks, her teeth, her heart even ached slightly. ‘ it’s all good, sirena. you have a life. i have a life. those two things don’t have to cross at all. i can tell gavin if you want me to. i mean, we only live together basically. it’s not hard to just walk ten steps to his room and say hey, don’t put me on the same schedule as sirena because she doesn’t want to be around me. ’ was there a bitter edge to the younger blonde’s tone? yes. would she admit it? no. ‘ i don’t WANT your explanation. it doesn’t matter anymore. you don’t matter anymore. ’
Sirena’s head was pounding. All she could do was force herself to try and remember why exactly she had left, what exactly was going on in her head to make her leave the place where she was welcomed, and wanted, had a family. Sirena knew the answer, but she didn’t ever want to admit it to herself, at least, she wouldn’t have then. She had a problem. Drugs, ecstasy, they ruled her life and it became all she could ever think about, all she wanted. Sirena made so many mistakes, and she could only dream of making them right.
Sirena shook her head some more, a tear threatening to escape her eye out of pure frustration, “No, Saskia, it’s not like that at all.” She began, “I’m different now! I’m clean.” She stressed the word, hoping to convey exactly what she meant. “I made stupid choices, I was stupid, but I’m not the same person.” She said hastily, voice showing her upset mood. “I want to be around you, I want —” but the words fell short, a knife piercing through her heart completely, the words her former sister used cutting her deep, and making her lose everything she wanted to say. “If that’s how you feel, then fine.” She muttered, pain dripping from her hurt voice. “I fucked up a lot, god Sas, I fucked up so much, and I never meant to, I never meant to hurt you. I didn’t come back because I knew you didn’t want me to.” She as much proved that when she said that the other no longer mattered.

— ❛ ┆ ᴛʜᴇ ɴɪɢʜᴛ sʜᴇ'ᴅ ɢᴏɴᴇ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴡᴏʀᴋ, ᴇxᴄɪᴛᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴛᴇʟʟ ᴀ girl that she had once considered almost close enough to be family that she was having a nephew, that her sister was pregnant, saskia had felt any sense of joy shattered. she’d waited. days turned to weeks and then to a month and there was no sign of sirena. no one had seen her, heard from her, and any trace of her had been packed up or left as saskia had last seen it. she’d quit soon after, buried any sort of disappointment and embarrassment she’d felt for trusting someone besides herself to stick around and care about her. sirena leaving was a cruel reminder, but one she needed: she wasn’t like her sisters and no one was ever going to actually pick her over anyone or anything else.
pursing her full lips, the slight blonde gave a jerky nod as she continued to pack. ‘ cool. that’s. yeah, cool. i’d say it’s good to see you, but it’s - you know, it’s not. it’s not good to see you, okay? so i’m just gonna head out and you can do whatever it is you were doing before. whatever you’ve been doing this whole time, yeah? ’ she’d learnt some time ago that making friends was not something she was good at, but once she made them, saskia was fiercely loyal having someone leave and without even a goodbye had hurt, and while she’d bottled that up and ignored it, that didn’t mean it disappeared overnight.
Sirena’s head took a spun, too many things from her past life coming up lately. She felt so much guilt wash over her body, regret pounding through her veins. The blonde had simply left her, without a word. Sirena couldn’t even tell anyone where she had gone after, her life being such a blur of beds, stages, dens... She was in such a low place and she fucked up a lot. She screwed over so many people, and that was all on her. Sirena wanted to fix things, she really did, but she never knew how, deep down she was too afraid to ever try and reconnect with anyone at all.
Sirena shook her head quickly, “No, no, Sas.” She began, stopping for a second, did she just outright say it? “Please, let me explain.” She begged, every word the other had said hitting her like a knife, stab wounds causing her to bleed out her guilt all over the floor. “I’m so sorry.” She added, hoping the other would at least give her the time to explain, “Look, just please let me explain, and then we can go out separate ways, I’ll even ask to work opposite of you so you don’t have to see me.”

“That’s true, not gonna try and bullshit you there.” she replied with a laugh, she knew she had no hope of matching Sirena’s grace. She wasn’t even going to bother pretending she could. “Yeah, let’s not do that. Mind, standing up there so I can get the starting spot right?”
“You’re still incredibly smart and beautiful, just clumsy.” She added, always one to compliment her best friend. Sirena loved how nontoxic their relationship was, the two were sisters, and always building one another up rather than down, save a few jokingly mean comments from time to tome. “I’m still willing to teach you, though.” Added she. Sirena moved back to the spot on the stage she needed the lights fixed on, “This is about where they should be.”

“A game that I’m sure to win.” Cami beamed, sweeping her hair over one shoulder. “So where to?”
“It’s good to be confident.” She said with a laugh, not downing on the girl’s pride. “Luxe or Kings, what are you in the mood for?” Naked men, or skanky dressed everyone.

“Want to get out of here and ride with me on my bike? There’s this private, secluded overlook point that I love to go to… and I think you will too.”
Sirena raised her eyebrows, a smirk on her lips, “I haven’t been on a bike in ages, plus a great view? Count me in.” She told him happily.
