Week 3 - Lost in Translation

Ah, language, my manic pixie dream girl 💜

This week I give you an examination of Loss (via translation) in my song 'Sin Arrepentimientos" or 'No Regret' in English.

Loss is defined, paradoxically, by gain; these things I've gained from losing other things inform the context of loss. In this way, loss is a windfall!

Each Spanish verse and chorus are echoed by their English equivalents, allowing the monolingual listener to find meaning in each translation.

Many things are lost in translation too, one shining example in this song is **Rhyme**

Whereas the (probably rusty grammatically) Spanish verses lay the rhyming foundations, the English verses lose this trait and thusly gain their own melancholic identity. This melancholy is lost in the beauty of the Spanish annunciations and rhymes; thusly the theme emanates throughout.

Although it may seem **corny,** one must come to appreciate **Loss**

The problem with AI as I see it is that it's **precisely the sort of tech you want to invest in for the exact opposite sort of society we have**

If we were in Star Trek society you absolutely want AI run systems; resource management and allocation, trained altruistically towards the blossoming and nurturing of life is exactly the paradigm we need AI trained on.

I've been going to burger king maybe once a week for the past couple of months before work.

Each time I go I usually buy a meal and then a couple of small chicken sandwiches as my lunch and dinner for work (second shift, 3-1am)

I usually say "hey can I get a couple of BBQ sauces" to the dude at the window.

He's been giving me progressively more BBQ sauces each time. Started with 3, upped it to 4 then 5, gave me 8 last time.

He's a legend and I love him.

At this rate I will have a lifetime supply of BK BBQ sauce ramekins in a years time.
