I am an artist and currently while writing this I am in my third year of my illustration studies at the WdKA and doing a mentorship in NYC and then an internship in Luxembourg. I am obsessed with ketchup, drag, leopard geckos, Moomin and dressing like a cowboy grandma. Truly you know me now a little, read my blog to continue knowing me more! This text thingy will be a yearly thing ´cus bro we be changing every timeeee!

Artist statment thingy : What happens when illustration, poetry and performance meet at a crossroad? Well since concepts can't drive, they crash into each other and from their artistic crash I, Sirah Haris, emerg while wearing an earring adorned headscarf! I am an illustrator, writer and social media persona, and I love using children's art supplies like crayons and felt markers to create bubbly illustrations of humans, human-esque things, dream beings and MYSELF! My work combines writing and illustration to explore the relationship we have to ourselves by expanding and twisting mundane objects to tell dreamlike stories. My inspiration for my introspective work comes from observing the world and collecting even the most random or trivial thoughts. Currently, next to my collective publication, I am working on developing an art manifesto with my research focusing on prehistoric art and children's art. 

Art statments are hard...truly its easier to just look and read my work instead of me explaining it, I will need to update it soon. Well anyways thats enough for now I think, you will get to know me more through more posts. I guess this blog is very self servicing I do not know if anyone will truly care or read it but I like doing it so I will do it!!!! HIHIHIHI BYEEE babes
