Luckily we have the means and the motivation fix this horrible affront on our social lives, no? And please, m'lady—Cori—you're the one that deserves the thanks, for your own ideas. I'm Hunter, and it's pleasure to meet you. I try to be much more truthful and courteous than suave, but I don't mind the title. In fact, the only lie would be that I could ever be a good planner of anything.
Tumblr media
Who would complain? It sounds as if the masses would be graced to attend this.
Right? For two amazing people like ourselves, it’s just a travesty. Why thank you kind sir. But please, call me Cori. Hmm, are you always so suave? Cause that’s definitely a good lie; when in doubt the woman is always right. Now that would seriously be fun. We can play dubstep till we’re so near deaf we can’t hear anyone complaining.

Caught up in being with Decklan as he spoke about Hunter not being a fool, the future opportunity to return the favor of laughing, and how it wouldn't be for a while, Hunter could only offer wordless replies. He was listening intently, naturally—missing a second of Decklan's addicting voice would be high treason—but all he could really give were the occasional 'hmm', some eye rolls, and even a smile or two here and there. It had appeared that, quite cornily and quite literally, he had been rendered speechless by his circumstances.
It pretty much got to the point where Decklan's adorable barely-smiles and almost-laughs were seriously getting to Hunter. He knew that tackling the boy with a hug and laughing all of the air out of his lungs would both be over the top, but he barely resisted nonetheless. The time did come though, when Decklan laid out Hunter's reasons for wanting a next time, and he gave a more drawn out 'hmm hmm'. Oh really? It's a given that they were all completely true, and Decklan's awesomeness was what made Hunter want more, and Decklan was slowly learning how great he was, but maybe he was learning too well. Actually, no. Never. Hunter was sticking by that.
When he began to feel the object of his affection kiss him back, Hunter could swear he felt the fireworks he was looking for, and then some. It was when the food was knocked over that Hunter discovered his voice again, letting out a mortifying whine when Decklan pulled his lips away. "Don't worry about it," he assured softly, and in no time they were back to kissing. When he felt Decklan's tongue at his lip, the fireworks became near-blinding, and he opened his mouth with complete acceptance. Pushing Decklan down lightly onto the bed, Hunter moved the make-out session into a more comfortable position. Drowning in the feel and scent of Decklan, Hunter moved his own tongue against the others tentatively, asking the unspoken question on whether Deck wanted to take the lead this night or if it should be Hunter.
hunter & decklan
"No, you aren’t a total fool. Trust me, I have my moments, and now you have my permission to laugh your ass off when that moment comes. Which hopefully isn’t for a while." God. He couldn’t even remember a time he laughed this much with someone. He was a goof, he couldn’t deny that, but with his friends back home, most couldn’t find it in them to enjoy the bits of their life they could spend laughing like Decklan did. While he hated the cards life dealt him, he tried to stay looking on the bright side of things, though sometimes, it proved to be a difficult task. This time definitely wasn’t one of those times.
The smile he was attempting to bite back shone through after a few moments, Hunter’s response making him chuckle. “Just a little bit, but it’s alright. I can’t say I blame you. I mean, I’ve always thought of myself as a pretty awesome human being, and now I’m sure of it. Your undying want to see me again proves that I must be right. Either that or you’re just really attracted to me, but you’ve already said I’m not here because of my body, so it must be the former.” He joked, nodding his head as he kept a straight face through it all.
Jokes aside, Decklan was getting just a little nervous. He thought he knew what to expect when Hunter first told him that he’d wanted to have some fun with him, but now he was realizing just how blind he was going into this. It was a little scary, actually. He shut his eyes, and when those lips met his for the first time, Decklan froze for a short moment, feeling a little… stunned, maybe, but a beat passed and he was returning the kiss.
It wasn’t long after that Decklan was moving closer, the space between their bodies completely unwanted, but as he reached up with one of his hands to attempt to bring the other closer, he knocked over the plate of food on his lap causing him to quickly pull back and break the kiss. “Fuck,” he uttered, feeling a little breathless already. “I’m sorry.” He moved quickly to gather the food back on the plate, luckily what he served himself wasn’t anything too messy or stain-worthy. “Here, I should move this.” He said as he took both of their plates, standing to set them on the table and reclaiming his spot on the knights bed. “There, that’s better.” He said before he slowly moved back in, somewhat hesitant at first, but when he didn’t get any protests, he pressed his lips against Hunter’s again. This time he felt a little more daring, his tongue just barely grazing across the other’s bottom lip, testing the waters a bit to get a feel of what he could and couldn’t do.

His face not letting up on its current shade of red, Decklan laughing at it—which got him started too—and the nice food and company... Yeah, Hunter could definitely get used to this. It had started with his looks, sure, but Decklan's voice, his personality, his laugh: they were all slowly roping Hunter in, making him a sucker for the other man. It was getting to the point where just imagining how tonight would go was giving him butterflies. Him! Big, strong, supposed-to-be-a-knight Hunter, getting butterflies.
And so here he was, caught, blushing with fading embarrassment and laughing it off at the same time. It almost seemed like he and Decklan were honeymooners, enjoying the bubbly phase that was a mix between good friends and future partners. "Thank god you knew what meant. Now even with laughing at me I still don't look like a total fool."
Raising his eyebrow in a transparent 'oh, really?' to Decklan's attempt to save face, Hunter easily saw that he was trying to hold back a smile. At the same time, there was nothing to hold back for Hunter, as he was pretty much full-blown toothily grinning by now. "Ohhh, if there's a next time. Please, forgive me, love. Again, I'm getting ahead of myself. Good to know you'll be comfortable, just in case." It looked a lot to the man that Decklan was on the verge of definitely coming back, if not already decided, but Hunter wanted to be sure. He wanted this to be a sure thing in the worst way, and he couldn't go off an assumption. Shockingly, he found that Decklan's reject would probably hurt him a lot more than it should, or he would have expected.
Now though, pushing all of that to the side, Hunter let himself get swept away in the moment. The moment that hopefully, you know, both of them would think was a moment. He wanted fireworks, and more. "Well, okay then," he whispered, closing his eyes and bridging the gap between him. Softly, his put his mouth on Deck's and began to kiss him, allowing the other room to take it further despite his desire to do so himself.
hunter & decklan
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Decklan mumbled with a playful roll of his eyes, letting it go so they didn’t spend the rest of the evening bickering over it. Hunter had officially gotten in his head though, or he was wiggling his way into it. Everything he was saying made him wonder, and hope for things he hadn’t found himself hoping for in years     a not so crappy life with not so crappy people in it. He wondered now if there were others that were like Hunter, though he’d quickly learning that Hunter was… unique, one-of-a-kind.
His laughing filled his own ears when Hunter began blushing, so obviously embarrassed by the miss wording of his previous comment. The red tint taking over his cheeks was absolutely adorable, and Decklan couldn’t help but laugh. “I would’ve let that one slide if you hadn’t started blushing.” He got out through a little fit of laughter. “I know what you meant, though, don’t worry.” He assured the blushing knight, still chuckling a bit as he went on to pick at the food on his lap.
It was his turn to choke on his food when Hunter went on to call Decklan out on his statement about next time. Clearing his throat he tried to bite back a smile, “what I meant to say was ‘if' there is a next time.” He tried to play it off, putting an emphasis on the word 'if', but his hope for a next time was obvious now, not just to Hunter, but to himself. He enjoyed the man's company, there was no lying about that. “If I find myself here for a next time, I won’t bother asking.”
Decklan smiled a little half smile as the other continued, of course speaking words that would’ve made another’s cheeks tint red, much like the knight’s own a few moments ago. But Decklan knew better. He wouldn’t let himself get that wrapped up in all of this. He wanted to question, or say something on the topic, but he didn’t have much time before the other’s hand was coming up to make that first initial contact of the night and asking for permission to make a move which was… a pleasant surprise. “You don’t have to ask, Hunter.”

Noticing how kindly he was treating this other person that was (and definitely was treated like) a slave here, Hunter began to snicker softly under his breath. How ironic. He came here for being too uptight a worker in need of a break, and he was being polite to this slave in a way that none of the people he knew likely would. How he deserved to be treated. Human decency? Big shocker, back at court.
"You definitely are," Hunter confirmed smoothly. Finally, they were getting somewhere. This was like an angel having amnesia and having to convince him he was an angel all over again. You know... Maybe he should ask for his mirror to be covered in mirrors for next time. It could be fun to tease Decklan about it, and it would surely prove his point, at least. Maybe after they became more comfortable, jokes like that could happen more often.
Shaking himself out of his wandering thoughts, Hunter's eyes widened and he almost choked on the apple he was currently eating. "Oh god, no, I meant—uh, well I meant 'start hungry and end full'. Christ, I must be so out of it, that's so embarrassing." Blushing something fierce, Hunter looked around, trying to divert the subject somehow. God, what a dork move to pull.
Setting his plate off to the side, he decided to throw off his own shoes as well, not having done so yet. Moving closer to Decklan and developing a similar indian sitting position. Shooting his most triumphant look at the smiling man, Hunter let out a 'hmm' of approval. "What was that, beautiful? Did I hear you say 'next time'? Or were my ears mistaken?" Head titled, Hunter continued. "Yes, I do know that you must not have met someone who treated you correctly. But you have me now, yes? And your stubbornness is much more cute than it is a bother. Really, you couldn't piss me off or be a shit head if you tried, you're much too endearing." Not being able to help himself, Hunter set his dinner plate to the side, and reached forward to lightly cup Deck's chin. "May I?"
hunter & decklan
Decklan came from a place where slaves weren’t treated the way Hunter treated him. Of course his family and friends were nice, and kind, especially his parents, but when it came to a Master, kind and generous was long forgotten. He’d spent his whole life in slavery, working at a young age until he was old enough to be used for the sexual pleasure for Masters. Masters like Hunter didn’t exist.
Only they did     or maybe they did. He was still on the fence about things, he learned a while back that you couldn’t trust a Master because they usually didn’t have a slave’s best interest in mind, but this knight… he was so different, and maybe trusting him wouldn’t be the worst thing Decklan has done. “I   maybe I am.” It was the truth. Maybe he was the one that was delusional, but things were the way they were, he had the title that he had because it’s what he was. A slave. Though Hunter made him want to believe he was more than just that.
"Start at full and end at hungry!" He repeated, laughing. "I like that." The food that was so nicely presented would more than likely not go to waste. Decklan wouldn’t doubt it if he found himself back there after they had their fun in bed together, no telling when he’d get another meal like this.
The knights laugh and even his smile, Decklan was beginning to realize, was extremely contagious because when Hunter laughed, he did too and when he smiled, he found himself mirroring that same smile if not a bigger one. It was probably due to the man’s extremely good looks. “Alright then. Next time I won’t bother asking.” He shrugged a little and moved to sit beside him on the bed, even kicking off his shoes so he could get a bit more comfortable as he sat Indian style a little towards the middle of the mattress.”You know, I don’t mean to be so stubborn about some things that you say. I just   you must know, I haven’t met anyone like you. This   what we’re doing now, I’ve never done this with a Master. So I promise I’m not being a shit head just to piss you off. It’s new to me. Really new.”

You know, I don't think I've been to one in quite some time either. Surely an unacceptable time to go out. I like the way you think, miss. Granted, it will most likely be the mistress' touch that will make it a good event, though it'd be fun to make a rager even the most sullen slaves can't refuse.
Tumblr media
Mmhmm. I haven’t been to one in ages and that’s unacceptable, really. That is could. I don’t know, I think a master and a mistress could throw something crazy together. That and everyone would be bound to go then.

"Must I repeat myself so much? It's only one of the reasons you're here, and only if you're still up for it." Groaning, Hunter was becoming slowly convinced that nobody had ever even asked this guy on a date before, if he was so sure that sex was Hunter's only goal. "What I mean is that there's actually a lot you can give. Your time, your thoughts, soon your gift of music. Humans are multi-faceted, Decklan." Brushing his own hair to the side, he only wished he could convince Decklan soon enough.
With the slave's confidence, though, he must've been praised enough to matter. Well, enough to matter, but obviously not as much as he deserved. "Yes, a prince." Jeeze, he could only imagine this is what it would be like if Da Vinci walked up to him admiring Mona Lisa and told him it was 'just okay'. "Are you sure you aren't the delusional one of us, my dear?" At this moment he half-expected someone to walk in and laugh at how clueless Decklan was being about his own looks.
Watching his date admire the lavishness and grandeur of the room did bring a smirk to the knight's face, again reminding him so much of himself when he arrived. Throwing an arm over his eyes and yawning—it was well past dinner after all—Hunter called out to him at the dinner table. "Start at full and end at hungry!"
Deciding that the fact of this being Decklan's first time being courted wouldn't change too much, Hunter realized he'd only have to make the night that much better for him. The smell of food getting to him, he took his arm away and sat up, reaching for a plant out of instinct and taking it. Giggling stupidly, he pat the spot next to him, finding Deck's request hilarious. "Yes, you can sit down. You don't even have to ask. Plus, how could I say no when the bonus is that it's right next to me?"
hunter & decklan
"Is that not why I’m here right now?" Hunter could call it what he liked, but he was renting him tonight, and Decklan knew what it was he wanted when he said they’d have a good time. “I’m not sure what it is you’re referring to. Unfortunately, there’s not much else I can give you.” He went on as he turned to look at the other in time to catch the way his eyes took his body in, drawing a little chuckle out of Decklan.
An amazing sight. Sure Decklan had been told on more than one occasion that he was hot, he definitely didn’t have a problem turning masters on, but an amazing sight? And to be compared to a prince? That was a first, and it noticeably caught him by surprise given the shocked expression on his face as he quickly turned to look at the knight. “Whoa, a prince? You’re delusional, Hunter.” A prince. Hah! Yeah right. Decklan being compared to a prince? He couldn’t help but think that anyone that might’ve overheard that would be laughing their ass off right about now.
Decklan’s eyes scanned the walls of the room, feeling a little out of his element, but was positive he wouldn’t have a hard time adjusting for the night. When Hunter told him to help himself, gesturing towards the table by the end of the bed, he didn’t question it, instead he moved towards it, eyes practically bugging out of his head when he saw all the food. “Holy shit. I don’t even know where to start.” The words came out mumbled, and he was mostly talking to himself. “Yeah. Yeah, it is.”
He didn’t waste much time before he was picking at the food on the table, wanting a bit of everything. Reaching for two plates, Decklan took a few moments to fill them with a decent amount of food as he answered Hunter’s question. “Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. I’ve only been here for a day, maybe not even twenty-four hours yet. You’re the first master that’s rented me since arriving. The only place I’ve really seen much of is my cell.” Once he served himself and Hunter, he walked over to the knight, handing him his plate. “Can I sit with you?”

Ah, you might've caught me there. Usually I am more civil than nice, and even then I have a bad side. But there are people I get to know who I feel deserve kindness. I'm glad to hear you say that, because I'll be the loyalest of friends to you.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, that's a lot of the case. A lot of people are too overcome with anger and rudeness. In this world, to overcome those people it takes acting that way yourself. And you don't ever have to thank me for that.
I still don’t get why you’re being so nice, but I’m not going to complain. I’m going to need some friends around here, right? What did you do to learn and control them? Okay, I’ll try that.
Tumblr media
People are afraid of kindness. Society is so screwed up that somewhere people started believing that being rude and taking advantage of people is the right thing to do, and being kind is a being a freak of nature. Thanks, Hunter.

Pursing his lips and exaggeratedly rolling his head towards Decklan, he tried to convey a look of chastisement—again, jokingly. "Why is it you think I'm only after your body? Granted, it is a very well-desired prize, but definitely not the only one you can give me." Without thinking, and probably destroying his honest point, Hunter chose now to rake his eyes across said body, not being able to help himself. Hey, it was a very nice body.
Smiling widely at the hope that he was given that there might be a 'next time' to this adventure, Hunter gave Decklan what was probably a fiftieth affectionate look. "Don't you worry, I will be sure to ask that question. It's not possible to forget to." Ugh, was this a gift he really deserved? It was a thing, sure, to come here to take a break. It was another to find someone that wasn't just relief, but someone he could joke with, tease, treat preciously. It made Hunter feel important, maybe even as much as he did protecting royalty. Maybe even more so.
"Yes, and I guess I'll just have to say it once more. An amazing sight. More amazing company though. And coming from me, it's much closer to a lesser man worshipping a prince than it is 'quite the compliment', believe me. I'm glad you'll actually take it now, though." This time around Hunter tried to stress how important the other man was, despite it probably making him seem too zealous and talkative. But Deck deserved to have it make him cocky. He seemed like a grounded person, and lies would fall on deaf ears anyhow.
Following him into the room, visibly pleased at his reaction towards the room, Hunter walked past him towards the soft-as-anything bed and threw himself liberally onto it. The room had shocked him too at first, being a resident of above-average barracks but barracks nonetheless. He was good knight, but definitely not the Captain of the guard. Waving his arm at a table not too far away from the bed laden with food, Hunter felt his stomach growl. "It is nice, isn't it? Please help yourself, and please bring me some." Hunter paused for a moment. "Wait, so are you saying this is your first time in one of these rooms?"
hunter & decklan
At first, Decklan thought he’d offended the knight beside him, but when he turned to catch the look on his face, a look of amusement took over his own. “Alright, you did say that, but I didn’t stop to think dinner was included. I thought you were referring to our time together in bed, not necessarily food. But yes, in your defense, you did say everything.” He nodded his head and shrugged his shoulder as he turned to face forward again, letting Hunter continue to lead the way.
Decklan let out a little chuckle under his breath. He wouldn’t ever get used to being spoken to the way Hunter spoke to him. “Ask me again at the end of the night. I’ll tell you whatever it is that I wish for.” He teased lightly, knowing already that he wasn’t against the idea of spending time with Hunter, but wanting to keep the other on his toes a bit. It was a double edged sword though. While he knew he really shouldn’t get used to this, he did enjoy the man’s company. He was like a breath of fresh air, he didn’t feel like he was walking on thin ice around him like he did with other masters, and he could be himself, which was also a plus.
Still laughing, Decklan shook his head in amusement at the knights all-too-kind words. “Wow. An amazing sight? Coming form you, that is quite the compliment, one that I will take without any protests.” The attention he was receiving wasn’t unwanted, for the most part, Decklan was joking when it came to the comments he made about his physical appearance, but the praise he received from Hunter would easily go to his head.
"Oh. Alright." He uttered with a thankful smile as he stepped inside of Hunter’s room, his eyes taking it all in. This wasn’t just a room. Just a room was like the ones back home. Just a room was a room with a door, a lock, and a bed. This was a suite, and up until now, Decklan hadn’t seen one this… intricate. He shouldn’t have expected anything less, the castle in itself was a sight to see. "Wow. This is… amazing." He just about whispered as he took a couple more steps inside, eyes taking it all in while he could.

Despite the fact that Decklan was in so close proximity to himself right now, and he was holding on to him, Hunter would be lying if he wasn't dreaming about the lavish dinner as well. That's one thing he couldn't have too often. Knights were usually served either rations or basic meals from the kitchens. It would be quite the treat to be able to pay for such a nice meal for a change. And to share it with someone like Deck? Even better.
"Hey, hold on there," Hunter's eyes widened in mock-offense, trying to make Decklan more comfortable with him as a partner than a suitor. "In my complete defense, I did tell you I'd give you everything. It's not my fault if you don't include food in that respect." Sighing, Hunter pulled Decklan closer to him as they walked, without realizing. "A man can dream, can't he amor? And I sure as hell dream of more of these outings, although I'll keep my word and stop at this one, if you so wish." From the brief interaction he'd had with the man, Hunter was afraid he'd already become very smitten with the idea of him. No matter what, he'd try to treat Decklan not only way he deserved, but in a way that made him want to come back for more. As he always would.
Not at all believing, forgive the cliche, that Decklan could be any more adorable, again he was proven most definitely wrong as the other man opened his mouth and laughed. It was an amazing sound, and Hunter soon had a stupid grin on his face, at risk of starting a full-blown laughing fit that probably wouldn't stop. Most likely the guards around here would think he was mad.
"But in that, you have a sure claim to being cocky. Or confident. Or whichever. Because you are an amazing sight, and that's something to flaunt." Licking his lips as they finally stopped in front of a wooden door—in hunger mind you, not lust—Hunter looked over at Decklan. "Corection. I've taken you to my room. Again, please, you go first." Reaching forward to open the door, Hunter opened it and held it for him.
hunter & decklan
When Decklan had napped a bit earlier, he was actually a little upset with himself. The food here wasn’t that great, but they were only given two meals a day, and yes he was kind of a small guy, but he had a pretty big appetite. Since arriving yesterday, the breakfast and dinner they were served really wasn’t enough to fill him up, so turning down dinner with Hunter would be the last thing he’d do tonight.
"If I’d known I’d get dinner out of this, I’d have said yes after your first pitch." He joked, though the prospect of dinner would’ve definitely convinced him to agree to spending the night with Hunter. "Future outings? What happened to just one night?" The thought of coming back out with Hunter wasn’t a bad one, but he didn’t want to get so used to being treated the way the taller man seemed to treat him. He was more than sure that whatever master wanted to rent him next wouldn’t be as kind and generous. No, he definitely couldn’t let himself get too spoiled.
As Hunter let out a laugh, Decklan glanced back at him, wondering for a moment what was so funny, and when Hunter spoke, he couldn’t help but laugh along. “I’m already cocky enough as it is, the more compliments     or observations, if that’s what you want to call it     the observations you make go straight to my head.” As he prattled on, an arm looped through his and he was being led in the direction of wherever it was they were having dinner. He turn to glance over at Hunter, studying the mans unfairly gorgeous features. “Your room then, is that where you’re taking me?”

As Decklan began to walk out of the poor slave quarters, Hunter quickly made to follow, preferring to lag behind slightly, a little off to the side. Again looking at the slave's alluring profile, Hunter couldn't help but applaud the chain of events that led to this knight. The temperamental yet courteous man, thoughts on the land's slavery aside, wasn't normally one to indulge in things like this, even at the suggestion to come. But it was an insistent one, so he obliged. And now look where he was. In heaven. Well, almost.
Perking up when Decklan did about the prospect of dinner, Hunter was insanely relieved that his acquaintance was hungry. Not quite happy that he had to go without food, but more delighted that the preparations he had made in his suite wouldn't go to waste. It was a modest quality and amount of food, and he would feel terrible making the cooks go to so much trouble to waste it.. "Of course I'm offering, dear," he grinned at him. "I'm offering anything you want. And afterwards, again, anything you want. I have no specific thing I'd like to do. Maybe in future outings I'll plan better." There it was. Hopefully, after tonight, there would be many more of those.
Suddenly though, he couldn't help but let out a loud laugh. "Now that's one of your funniest moments yet. The fact that you'd think my 'compliments' were that, when they're clearly observations." Now the knight playfully rolled his eyes, amused at the lack of Decklan's notice for his own beauty. Now that Hunter knew where Decklan wanted to go, he now walked forward and looped his arm around Decklan's bicep, tugging him along eagerly towards his room. "Don't worry, I'll lead us now."
hunter & decklan
The way Hunter bowed to him was one of those things that Decklan just wasn’t at all expecting. Throughout his life, he could truthfully say that this was a first for him. He cracked a smile at the gesture, thinking to himself that Hunter was a rare breed, he hadn’t ever thought masters like him even existed. Decklan was now realizing that he wasn’t a complete loon for spending all those years when he was younger hopeful that he’d meet someone like the knight before him now, but as it usually went, the hope was ripped away and Decklan learned that it was easier to accept the way things were than to hope for something so different and completely out of reach.
"Oh." The mention of dinner caught his attention and had him turning to glance at the taller man beside him. "I mean, if you’re offering, dinner would be kind of awesome. I stupidly slept through dinner earlier and when I woke up, the cafeteria was closed. So yeah, that’d be awesome. Then we can… retire to the rooms, or have dinner after. I mean, whatever you’d prefer is fine with me.”
Decklan couldn’t help but chuckle at the little nicknames that Hunter made a habit to use. Love, dear, darling, gorgeous. He’d heard them, but masters didn’t normally use such nicknames when referring to a slave. “You don’t have to do that. The compliments, I mean.” He began walking then, leading the way out of the basement where all of the slaves slept quietly in their cells. “Where am I leading us to?”

Eyes lighting up when Decklan began to walk up to him, Hunter couldn't help but allow a slight bow to him, despite both of their roles. Quickly moving from his tilted position back upwards, Hunter couldn't help but want to sweep forward to wind his arm around the other's, moving to pull him away from the cells he stayed in. They were truly horrible, and would not make for happy times or conversation. But he would settle with letting the other walk with him
"Hello," Hunter greeted tentatively, letting his mind wonder about Decklan. Surely this was a strange experience for Hunter, who was taking his first slave at this moment, and must be at least a little similar for the other, right? "Also, would you like some dinner to start off? Or maybe do something more recreational? I can have all of that set up if you do, or we could just retire to the rooms right away..."
Trailing off, Hunter stored away his first-time jitters in a place where they wouldn't bother him, because surely he didn't need them on this night. He was lucky enough to spend it with a man as charming and attractive as Decklan, and he was supposed to make it impeccable, not bothersome. Honestly, how could he lose hold of himself like that? "Why thank you, love," Hunter answered his complement. "Of course, you look even more so, as always." Sweeping his arm forward in a fluid gesture, the knight motioned towards the exit of the hallway. "For you, gorgeous? Always. Lead the way."

Usually Decklan went into this sort of thing knowing what to expect, but honestly, he had no clue what to expect from Hunter. The man claimed he was so different, and Deck would call bull shit if he really hadn’t come off totally different from what he was used to. Hunter said things that Decklan honestly had no clue how to answer or respond and that alone was rare, it wasn’t everyday that someone left him… well, speechless.
Hunter said he’d come for him, so all Decklan could do really was wait for him to arrive. This place wasn’t too different from where he was from, but one thing he noticed was how cold it all felt, probably due to the fact that he didn’t know anyone here. He wanted to explore the castle and find something to do, but there wasn’t much he was actually allowed to do, which wasn’t too surprising.
Decklan laid back on his little bed and stared up at the ceiling, glancing up every now and again when he heard some shuffling outside his cell, but it wasn’t until he saw Hunter approaching that he stood up. “Hey.” He said as he let out a breath, a little nervous which was new, but he knew it was because he really was going into this blind. Hunter had a smile on his face, and it definitely didn’t go unnoticed, it was actually pretty contagious. “You look… nice.” He uttered quietly, not too sure how to go about this with someone like Hunter. “Shall we go then?” He asked, lifting his gaze to meeting Hunter’s with a small, somewhat tight, smile on his face.

A party? You know, maybe we should. I had expected the castle to organize something by now, but maybe this place could use a master's touch.

I’m thinking a party is definitely needed. And sometime soon.

It's no problem, Dylan. I'm aware I don't have to, but I'd appreciate if you came to me with your problems nonetheless. It might shock you, but control over your emotions takes time. I wasn't always like this. Friendly tip? Counting to ten actually helps.

There are a lot of people who would take the same kindness you call strength as my biggest weakness. And I really shouldn't be one of the only ones. You're likable enough to garner the whole world's protection, Mon Ange.
Thanks, Hunter. You don’t need to worry about me or anything, but it’s good to know that you’ll be willing to listen. Yeah, you’re right. You wish I could be as calm and rational about the whole thing as you are. I’m afraid I’m a bit too emotional. I’d never make a good knight, that’s for sure.

Well, so far you’ve been really nice, that tells me you’re not weak. ‘S okay, I think you’re one of the only ones. Thanks.

hunter & decklan
Making sure he was wearing something nice—nothing too fancy of course, just some slacks, shirt—Hunter gave himself a final cursory glance in the mirror before smiling and stepping out of his room. Excited to pick up his... well, his date for tonight, Hunter couldn't help but walk at a brisk pace to the slave cells. Luckily, he knew his way around quite well, as memorizing the place was much easier than relying on a map, or getting lost.
Due to this, the knight arrived at his desired destination in no time, and stood slowly off to the side before finally entering. In truth, he was quite nervous about tonight. He had promised the other man an equally good time for both parties, but what if he couldn't deliver? He assured he was a man of honor, which he was, but Hunter wasn't a stranger to disappointing people.
Bringing his thumb to his mouth and biting on it—an anxious habit of his—he decided that the night could only go well if he willed it to go well, and continued walking. After a few words to the guards, Hunter clasped his hands behind his back, and put a smile on his face for Decklan.
