A GOOD SCORCHING AFTERNOON TO IN LOS SANTOS!

We're so glad you can join us on our weekly recap as there's been quite a bit of action in our sleepy little city. For those that missed it, in celebration of National Ice Cream Day, those lucky few that swing by your local restaurants and cafes may receive a sweet treat.

In breaking news:

A new body has been found in The Blood Woods, bringing the total body count to a staggering 6 in two months. The Police Chief has not commented on this recent attack; however, the Mayor's office assures citizens that local police are doing everything they can to apprehend the killer. The victim has yet to be identified.

The city is rocked by yet another quake, however, experts assure concerned locals that there is nothing to worry about.

Construction on Los Santos Flower Conservatory has been stalled due to a sudden overgrowth of highly aggressive carnivorous plants. The construction company contracted to complete the job has yet to comment, and our intern Todd has yet to report back from the scene. Stay tuned for additional details.

Reports of shadowy creatures have increased in Maire Glen, and local police advise locals and tourists alike to please stay out of the woods after dark. In the wake of this announcement, the Killer Curios Starlight tours have been halted indefinitely until further notice.

The recent disappearance of the beloved owner, Cadence O'Connell, has yet to be solved. Daily Grind, a long-time labor of love by O'Connell, continues business operations as usual. O'Connell's family was unable to be reached, and all attempts mysteriously ended with a brief indecipherable message. The line has since remained busy and unable to connect. We will update with details as the story progresses.

With the recent heatwave and the strange appearance of what experts are calling The Mad Fool Moon, reports of crimes across the city are on the rise. Police have yet to comment, but video footage of seemingly normal people attacking and biting others has been circulating online. With the eight-day full moon and temperatures in the high nineties, people in the city are advised to stay inside and stay safe.

The sudden surge in tourists means our beaches are more crowded than ever! Talks of a summer festival have been delayed, but that doesn't seem to dampen any enthusiasm to pour out onto Los Santos' oceanfront. We're sure the missing children have nothing to do with the strange creature spotted off the coast. Nothing to worry about here!

As a final note, our station's intern position has recently opened up! Any hopefuls are advised to drop off a paper resume and letter of recommendation at the front desk. We can't wait to have you join the team!

Information and bios about the muses are organized in a category under the players as they apply and join. Threads are managed in a forum under players for easy access. We use tuppers created for Discord to display our characters.

Something has BROKEN.

It was a typical Wednesday morning when it happened, a cracking sound that seemed to originate in the sky. As if someone, or something, was cracking the very sky like a mirror steadily fracturing under force. When it happened, it came with a loud and sudden EXPLOSION and then -

SILENCE.

Wake up.

To many citizens, nothing has changed. No notable events or items appear out of place. Only two witches are aware of the loss of something invaluable - an entire timeline DEVOURED and collapsed in on itself. This was the price for an imbalance brought by meddling at the hands of someone long since lost and now forgotten. It is this new world that has laid claim to the city of Los Santos. Ambrose Myrrdin remains the lone witness to the timeline collapse, saved and cursed by The Archives.

Key Events and Factions:

Ley Lines Flicker and Wane: As the ley lines begin to visibly flicker and wane, witch-centric crime is on the rise. The increase in magical activity is causing unrest among the citizens of Los Santos.

Serial Killer on the Loose: During the festivals, a serial killer emerged on the eve of Samhain, going unchecked in the streets. Despite claims of the killer’s death at the hands of new police chief Victor Lynch, locals believe the killer still lurks, casting a shadow of fear over the city.

Aegis and the Consortium: With a sudden rise in tourism, a new rival power, known only as Aegis, has reclaimed the ruins of the once-marvelous Consortium. Anyone brave enough to wander the dank, shadowy darkness rarely returns unscathed. The power struggle in the underground has become a significant threat.

Key Locations and Groups:

The Mayans: A feared group in the southern borders, believed to have a working relationship with Aegis. Their territory is one of the most dangerous yet strangely organized and efficient areas in Los Santos. They’ve taken over the Sycamore Hills area, making it one of the safest places for werewolves.

Heartfield Zoo and Gardens: Reopened with supernatural creatures, it has become a controversial yet popular tourist attraction. However, the zoo’s operations are shrouded in mystery and protests have arisen over the nature of the exhibits.

The Blood Woods: A dangerous area linked to mysterious murders. Locals avoid this area due to the high number of unexplained deaths, making it one of the most feared places in the city.

The Botanical Gardens: A refuge for rebel witches, though local hunters have yet to find them. This sanctuary is a hotbed of magical activity and a critical location for those involved in witch-centric crimes.
