If you could see/ do a great Gatsby remake. What would you fix/ keep from the most recent one? (Personally I loved toby as nick but I hated the modernity of the soundtrack.)

Well I'd definitely recommend to have the scene where Nick and Mr. McKee leave together :^) and take out or at least make the sexy scene less uh intense (maybe that's just me ^^;) but I'd keep the scene where Nick and Gatsby are alone talking to each other where Nick says Gatsby can't keep repeating the past because it was really good

flower language has always been an intense source of disappointment for me

like, they all mean really generic things like “love” or “forever” or “i’m sorry” 

i thought you could combine flowers

like you could just send someone a bouquet and from the combination of hibiscus and posies and tulips they’d understand “the rebel leader is dead, rendezvous at the docks at 8, bring the dog, you will need lighter fluid and a large tomato”

Honestly I just liked the idea of him and Goob being brothers and then I realized how awsome that would be.

For people with pronoun problems

As someone who's consistently missed gendered I wanted to she something I realized today that made me feel better.

Animals will never misgender you.

Your pet loves you as you are,

The birds in the trees only see you as another human,

The squirrels in the park see you as another food source,

The ferrets and mice at the pet store find you interesting as a person.

Whether your trans, intersex, non-binary, agender, genderfluid, or cis; animals will never treat you any different.

And I for one take solace in that.

also there is no way in hell jack is straight. he can play the "partyboy casanova" card all he wants but i see how much he flirts with guys too.

as for josh... idk. even if he is bi i think he might have a little trouble dealing with it. Being that he is from a place that ended their long term political racism only a year after he was born (josh was born 1993, apartheid ended 1994) their out look on lgbt+ was conseveibly also against. (sorry for the political insert, but i think its important to note)

on the same hand, seeing him and jack fool around like this in south africa could also point to the fact that his views have opened since leaving and hes not afraid to show it.

either way... my ship is sailing, my crops are flourishing, my wife is glowing, my hotel is travago, the whole nine.
