#somebody gets it#and I'm still waiting for that 100k slowburn angst with a happy ending fic about adriana and the undercover agent running away together#for a show that's so male-centric it has some of the most realistically and compassionately written female characters of the 90s/2000s#unfortunately every other online fanbase for the sopranos is largely dedicated to hating those compassionately written female characters#I wouldn't even care if it was a thoughtful take but it's always just a whiny 'carmela makes me so madddddddd why is she such a bitch'#idk kyle why is tony violent and abusive? because this is a show about complex morally gray characters who do many unethical things#and understanding what drives this behavior is kind of the whole point of the show
