Gen 6 Part 4: He Streaks Happily

With the complicated ex-ghost-boyfriend situation cleared up, William is at peace and can date Shelley. yayyy

They go on a cute date at his uni and do uni things.

There's just one little issue in the air, and that's their questionable work situation. Conflict of interest, for a director to date her leading man. Thankfully, a top secret agency recruits William and he is happy for the excuse to leave the acting career! He can't wait to tell Shelley!

"Oh so funny story," said Shelley, "actually i was thinking the same thing and quit the biz too. Turns out it's way easier to be an influencer. You just turn this drone on and do your life and get paid for it. In fact, I'm at work right now, technically."

Also Brenda and Edgar got married and are having a kid. Yeah they are practically teenagers. Hashtag short lifespan.

In a surprisingly casual turn of events, the ghost of new-dead-boyfriend Valentin recruits William to the acting career. …He must accept!

His role is on the soap opera Residency of the Heart. Waaaa the heart!

He must practice romance for the role. He invites over his castmates. But by accident, practiced romance with the director!

Edgar proposes to Brenda. They are so young! But also, with short lifespan, so old.

Valentin asks William out to the spice festival. They start dating, but…

…but you can only marry ghosts in your household. Ah yes, of course. So where is this going?

There is no way to contact Valentin. One may say…William has been Ghosted. 👻

Gen 6 Part 2: The Bro Pact

Campus housing was nearly as terrible as university itself, so William moves into an actual house.

He is sad so buys himself a pile of presents.

Little bro Edgar (who is now a teen!) moves in. Edgar wants to be an ACTOR like his dad Ever! He joins drama club.

William is finding his groove with his studies. Straight A+s! He’s taking Psychology, and is just so impressed by those who excel at childcare.

The bros make a New Year’s Resolution pact: Get a significant other. Just as they shake on this, the doorbell rings. It’s Valentin, the Immortal Nanny! Is it a sign??

Edgar asks out Brenda, this random girl who is just always walking by their house.

William is beginning to think academia is overrated. He doesn’t want to study families. He wants a family of his own!

Better get a move on. Valentin and William have their very first kiss!

The bro pact is fulfilled, SIMultaneously. But just as Valentin and William start Officially Dating…IMMEDIATELY, MYSTERIOUSLY, Valentin the immortal nanny…DIES!

Ready, Set, Go! A space pirate’s gotta go to space to practice his space skills for that acting career! That makes sense right?

Recovering from a nearly fatal space race with astonishing speed, Ever nonetheless thinks that perhaps would be a lovely time to tend to his garden.

Meanwhile, his uni-bound son William is studying studying studying ((on his BRAIN BENCH))

Time moves on, Ever gets older, William becomes an older brother! Edgar Watson-Young is born!

The acceptance letters are in and William has his pick of universities! Ever sits his son down and extracts a potion from his pocket. "Here," he says, "You can go to university and still live a full, fruitful life with this age potion." Ever the strategist, gaming at life, making those moments count.

Gen 5 Part 8: Personal Touch

Ever musn't be distracted by the what if of Love Day Disaster Date Sierra. Evil not mean, he just needed a scene partner to prep for work. Even with doing all the tasks for his Acting career though? He's not reaching top marks. What's there to do?

He turns to his mentor, the one lady he worships, who has it all together: Agatha Crumplebottom.

Agatha sends him on an errand to talk to a gnome. Um. Okay. Ever is very uncomfortable with this but uhhhh anything for Agatha.

IA wise chat with Agatha about his nearly-perfect Actor life sparks a thought: what if he were closer to his co-workers? Like, as people? It doesn't make any sense to Ever, but he invites his co-stars over anyway.

If you say so, Aggie!

It worked! Sword fighting is even more swashbuckling when you know your co-star!

Ever invites Agatha over to celebrate.

They cook together in the kitchen. He's learning so much from Agatha's way of life!

A lovely family dinner, of just Yorkshire pudding on its own. mmm!

Agatha has a contact for Ever. "You know, my old friend Goldie Ruthfield has a talent agency. You'd be a perfect fit!" Bye bye AI. Hello to a warmer, gentler agency, who sends flowers to Ever for passing auditions!

To prep for his next gig, Ever has to perform a romance scene. Peyton is like no bro. But he spots a familiar fact in the crowd and asks if she's game.

Ever is Evil, but Peyton is Evil AND Mean. This causes a riff between them. Ever is more of a subtle con artist, while Peyton is blowing their cover by just being mean to everyone. And now, a full-on Criminal? Bro (cousin) isn't that a little OBVIOUS?

Baby William Watson-Young is born! And Peyton is filling their house with his Crime stuff. It's a bit much with a baby around. Maybe it’s time for Peyton to leave. Love you though bro.

Gen 5 Part 2: Technology is the Future

Before we begin, an explanation for our loyal readers regarding last Part -- You may have noticed the bank balance rise by 27K then fall back down. Well, followers, sometimes the images are displayed out of order to best convey the Truth of the story.

In this case, that 27K was an inheritance from Cali <3, Patron of the Arts, putting that painting money towards her own son's Acting pursuits. Maybe she should have done that from the start? Let's not forget: Our dear Cali acts not from the head, but from the Hart.

And by the way? When Cali and Ali passed, Little Alwys (not Always) was removed from the timeline. Where did she go? Ever searched the streets of San Myshuno, nay the world, and Alwys was nowhere to be found. Good thing he's being building that Handiness skill though - he's building a rocket and soon he can take to the skies. Where are you Alwys?

Back to our story! Yes, Rashidah is pregnant! Ever forgot about that part of the Perfect Legacy, but it's going according to plan anyway. Birth that next gen heir early. Perfect timing. yaaaay

Ever makes room for Rashidah to move in. The house is still micro though - for Optimal Skill Building! But wait, how does this work. Should he propose like now?

Gen 5 Part 1: WhatEver It Takes

Ever aspires to be a famous actor, and he's willing to do WhatEver it takes. He's Evil after all. And so is his cousin, Peyton (son of BB & Gloomy Yumi). They're roommates in a micro-home (they know it's optimal for Skill Building!). Just two Confident, Evil bros (cousins) in the big city.

As soon as they move in, all their parents die. Like, all of them.

They are Very Sad, but they must keep going! They have ruthless, Evil plans for stardom, and nothing shall stop them!

They head to the local library to Build Skills, get to work, and woo aspiring author Rashidah Watson.

Ever gets going on the Simstagram while BB files reports as an Evil Businessman. Peyton is also a graphic artist using the digital sketchpad. He knows this is the quickest way to gain fame and fortune (in the Sims anyway…). Cali was onto something with painting as a lucrative career but digital is thew way to go! Even faster, even more $£$£$

Gen 4 Part 15: Two Dynasties Both Alike In Dignity

In the village of Henford-on-Bagley, there lived a reluctant heiress.

Rashidah Watson wants more from her life among the livestock in this quaint, idyllic village. Although her father's family owns the town, she has no desire to inherit it.

Rashidah had heard of the Young legacy: famous arts advocate Cali <3, daughter of famous party girl Mimi Landgraab Caliente Young. According to the rumours, Cali turned down the Newcrest crown to create a dazzling life for herself in San Myshuno. Perhaps it was part of Rashidah's reason for attending private school in this particular district.

But she was just as surprised as anyone when her classmate, Ever Young, invited her to the Love Day School Party.

They have the whole family dynasty thing in common, yes. But Rashidah also has this is-it-or-isn't-it thing with the local delivery boy. But the postie didn't invite her to a Love Day party, did he?

She says yes to Ever's last-minute invite. They get cookies and punch, and make small talk around the music. Rashidah likes romantic music. Just not pop. Especially tween pop. YUCK. heh.

It's an awkward school thing, but she nonetheless warms up to him. He walks her to the bus stop, and she's about to say actually she wants to stay in the city a little longer when --

"Ever?" It's Cierra, Ever's friend from primary school. "I haven't seen you in...forever! We should catch up!"

"Well hey, I'm free now. Wanna go for karaoke? The bar has a Love Day sale on drinks."

Uh I guess that's it for Rashidah.

As Cierra and Ever walk across town to the Honey Pop, Ever realises how stupid he's been. He asked out a girl on LOVE DAY. That means it's a date! And he asked her out in front of HIS ACTUAL DATE. uhhhh

But he's also kind of enjoying himself. He feels cool and grown up, ordering drinks for the group.

But also... he's not grown up.

And Cierra is.

"So you're a Young Adult."

"Yeah, so? Aren't you?"

"No....I thought we were the same age!"

"Oh I literally just aged up." (Literally. Like, as soon as the date started.)

"Cool."

Double stupid.

Back home, Cali has done it at last! She has sold her final painting to buy her final painting to complete her 100K home gallery wall to support the arts!

It's a joyous day - in fact, it is Hadley's Day! The holiday in memory of the founder of the Young Legacy: mischievous, playful Hadley Young.

Hadley... Cali remembers what this legacy is all about. While Mimi devoted her life to Newcrest and Cali devoted hers to the San Myshuno arts community, her family history began with a simple desire to have a loving family. Sure, Mina's generation went down a certain criminal path that got riches and land-grabbing into the mix, but the point is family!

Cali is determined to spend the rest of her days with her family, raising her wee daughter Alwys, always. With some help from immortal Nanny Valentin of course.

Ever texts Rashidah. u still here? i screwed up!!

Rashidah had decided to stay in the Arts Quarter, not for no man, but to turn the evening around for herself. But she is a hopeless romantic, and will not turn down a Boy With Luv if one happens to come begging.

They talk about their dreams. "I'm gonna get out of here soon," says Ever, "and go to the BIG city. To really make it as an Actor, there's only one place to be." Wow, Ever grew up in one city and wants to move to an even BIGGER one? Rashidah is entranced.

The future is near. Ever ages up (...just not in time for that date with Cierra), and guess what? Evil Mina's genes have surfaced. Ever is an Outgoing Evil Genius, with a practical Nerd Brain aspiration, and a laser sharp focus on being a world famous Actor. He's willing to do what it takes. There's no stopping him.

As per Hadley Day tradition, everyone's out streaking in the Arts Quarter. Ah, Hadley loved streaking.

"Thanks mom," says Ever, "for surrounding my childhood with art. I'm ready to go make my own now."

Cali's work is done.

But Ever has only just begun. And he's willing to do whatever it takes.

Gen 4 Part 13: What Really Matters

Didn't Cali have another kid? Oh yeah she's been so busy raising money for questionably starving painters she forgot to announce the birth of her second child, Alwys!

Her bro BB asks "So you named your kids Ever and Always?"

"Not Always. ALWYS. Like Alice, with a W. It's artistic."

Ali writes a song, "For Ever & Alwys".

"So... Forever And Always?"

No!!

Meanwhile teen Ever still dreams of a career in drama. He’s up in the night watching the tv premiere up close going SEE? I want to do THAT!

He’s up early reading scripts and learning lines for Drama Club. Cali catches him on her way to the coffeemaker.

I think it’s great you want to be an Actor, she says. But a little advice? You come home stressed every day, working towards this drama club. Is it giving you anything in return? If you want to move to Del Sol Valley, we support that. But realistically, you're gonna have to get a car.

Nevermind the car. The point is, Cali is skeptical of arts institutions. Why put yourself through the pain for nothing? Remember to pursue a practical career too, so you can support yourself. Ever does pride himself by his Logical Nerd Brain. He quits Drama Club and gets a job as a barista.

Oh crap, it's Love Day. Who has time for Love Day when there are potentially starving painters to support??? Cali catches herself, and remembers to prioritise her lovely artist spouse by going on a date.

They get all dressed up and remember how they connected over guitar music, all those days ago!

At the end of the date, they are presented with an expensive bucket of Flirty champagne. Oh yeah, forgot they give these out for going on great dates! Turns out this was the most profitable way to spend this evening after all!

Inspired by how passion CAN be profitable, Cali takes to the streets to resume the busking she moved to this city to do in the first place. Maybe this will be her key to success!!

A tourist walks up to watch her performance. Wow, a famous artist! Cool!

Cali earns 0 simoleons.

Is the moral of the story that every form of art -- and even LOVE -- pay big bucks...EXCEPT LIVE MUSIC which pays NOTHING?

Gen 4 Part 12: MONEY!

Out at the Spice Festival with her bro BB, Cali witnesses the advice he gives his son Peyton.

(Family tree reminder: BB and Cali <3 are half siblings. Both Mimi's kids, BB's dad is Bing Bling; Cali's dad is Randy Hart (<3). Cali is short for Caliente.)

Son, the only way to make it in this world is with money.

Money!

Cali has an idea. Her Mean Vegetarian brother is right. Everyone needs money. Especially artists!

"Ever, I want to remind you to approach the world logically. Everyone needs money, especially artists. Which is why I will be dedicating my professional life towards raising money to buy as many paintings as we can afford, to support artists."

"MOM I've been saying you need to look at things more logically. Who was the one who said we should get this chess table in the first place? ME!"

All right, the family's on board. So Cali gets to work, making money the most lucrative way possible: Painting!

Side note: The fact that Painting is the most profitable career suggests that perhaps Cali's ambitions to support starving painters is misguided. This thought, however, does not cross her mind.

On a roll with logical steps and levelling up, it's moving day for the Youngs! The flat across the hall is up for rent, and we hear it's gremlin-free. It’ll be nice to have some space anyway, for baby no.2 on the way.

Ali is also raising money to support starving visual artists, by creating his own visual art!

(Again, perhaps their efforts are misguided...)

Cali ages up! No time like the present to make that money for the painters. She manifests a career as a SECRET AGENT!

...and a businesswoman!

...and an actor!

But the real money is in creative writing!

Gen 4 Part 11: How Many Handymen...?

Cali won a Future Cube at Geek Con. It may just be the answer to all of her problems. She asks it what she should do with her life.

Hm. Well, back to gaming.

Ever is FOCUSED on his schoolwork and his Drama Club aspirations!

Gremlins strike!! In the middle of the night the apartment, ALL appliances break!

Uhh we’re not touching this. Let’s hire a handyman.

The handyman DIES trying to fix Ever’s computer.

DIES!

All right we need some more help with this situation!

Oh and Cali is pregnant. Whoops! Barely even noticed with all that's going on.

Ever is Very Sad! A man died in his room after all. But most of all... he is sad that someone had to die in such a stupid way.

"Peyton, I've been thinking," Ever reflects to his cousin over a civilised game of chess, "The Handyman did not have to die. This would have never happened if he were more skilled."
