oh yeah my job shadow was today
LOOK AT THE BINGUSES
even got an exclusive interview with one
they were quite the plus to the already great environment in the salon. the stylists were very friendly and helpful when it came to working with me and my silly questions, it also felt like home. mainly bc my mother is a cosmetologist and i remember her taking me to work as a kid

i forgot how one of the other reasons i decided to drop music production is bc i feel so inadequate compared to everyone else and my teacher consistently pairs me with the best in the class

the once every random interval update
so
changes: i decided to switch out of my painful music production class and go into ceramics next semester. is this taking care of my mental health? i may be posting more considering that life has calmed down, i cut off some people that weren’t good for me, i’ve been focusing on myself and getting my work done, i’ve been trying to get back into the routine after being sick for weeks.
grades so far:
consumer economics: B, missed an assignment from being sick, completed it tho
AALIT: B
PE: C, missed a couple cardio days from being sick, have to make them up at home
music production: D, obvious reasons
internship: A, it’s pretty laid back,
apparel construction: a, also laid back, i keep getting burnt on the irons tho

again sorry for all the inactivity. especially bc this blog gets more hits than my main for obvious reasons. i’ve been traveling, trying to keep my sanity and getting super sick. to the point where i needed the type of cough syrup that people misuse and od on bc the doctors didn’t want to give me antibiotics. tho i got some finally. today i am feeling better and im doing some work before i feel the need to pass out for 5 hours.
my dog lloyd has been my little buddy the entire time. he’s been staying by my side and protecting ever since i got sick a couple weeks ago. here’s a video of him snoring over my movie. i should be back to school in a day or so. hopefully i’ll remember to give you guys content.

How Hardworking Students Should Rest: A Guide to Staying Productive and Balanced:🎀
As students, we often find ourselves buried under a mountain of assignments, exams, and extracurricular activities. While it’s important to work hard and stay dedicated, it’s equally important to give your mind and body the rest they deserve. In this blog post, we’ll explore why rest is crucial and how to balance work and relaxation effectively.
Why is Rest Important?
Rest isn’t just about sleeping or being lazy; it’s an essential part of maintaining mental and physical well-being. Continuous study sessions without breaks can lead to burnout, stress, and decreased productivity. Taking regular breaks helps to:
• Refresh your mind: Breaks improve focus and retention of information.
• Boost creativity: Rest allows your brain to form new ideas and solutions.
• Reduce stress: Taking time off helps in managing anxiety and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
How Often Should You Rest?
The key to effective studying is incorporating regular breaks into your schedule. Here’s a general guideline on how often to rest:
1.The Pomodoro Technique: Study for 25 minutes and then take a 5-minute break. After four cycles, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes.
2.Hourly Breaks: If you prefer longer study sessions, try studying for 50 minutes and then taking a 10-minute break.
3.Daily Rest: Make sure you have time each day to unwind and do something you enjoy—whether it’s exercising, reading, or spending time with friends.
4.Weekly Rest: Dedicate at least one day a week where you limit your study time and focus on relaxing and recharging.
Thank you!

Post-Class Relaxation Tips for Students:🎀
Balancing studies and relaxation is key for students. Here are some quick tips to unwind after class:
1.Take a Walk – A short stroll in nature can reduce stress and clear your mind.
2.Practice Mindfulness – Try meditation or breathing exercises for 10 minutes.
3.Stretch or Exercise – Light physical activity like yoga can boost your mood.
4.Read for Fun – Escape with a novel, comics, or anything non-academic.
5.Listen to Music – Relax with your favorite tunes or an interesting podcast.
6.Watch Something Light – Enjoy a comedy or feel-good show to unwind.
7.Socialize – Spend time with friends to de-stress and have fun.
8.Pamper Yourself – Self-care like a warm bath or skincare can work wonders.
9.Journal – Write down your thoughts to process the day’s stress.
10.Sleep Well – Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep to recharge fully.
Incorporating these tips into your routine can help you feel balanced and refreshed!
