I don’t have the guts to be like, “Yo, guys, this is the new me and I have something to say and it’s not what I said before,” but in the beginning, when it was, “Do you want to do this really big movie?” you’d be like, “Yeah, of course I do. Are you kidding?” Then you do lots of them and suddenly you’re like, “I went to drama school, I care about art, I care about working with auteurs, I care about inhabiting characters that have something to say.” And it takes a minute for those around you to go, “Oh, right, sorry, I thought you just wanted to eat.”
