EUREKA!!!!

Good afternoon everyone.  Sorry I have been quiet lately, but I have been suffering from Crochet Block.  Not sure if it would be a real thing if I looked it up, but I have been having a difficult time coming up with a project that inspired me.  I guess saying I was only going to work on certain things sort of had the opposite affect on me.  Anyway, I am excited to say that I am currently in the works of designing a new project.  Not only will I be offering the item, but I hope to have the pattern in my shop as well.  My goal is to have it up by the end of next week.  (1/19/18).  Stay tuned for more.

Closed & Gearing Up

Good evening everyone.  I know that I have been a little MIA as of late, but I have been figuring out little project and things that will be added to the shop soon.  I know that Christmas is coming up and there are a few things that I need to make sure I get out. 

#1:  I will not be taking custom orders during the month of December.  This means that if you are wanting a blanket or something large I will not be able to complete it.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

#2:  In order to ensure that you get your orders by Christmas Eve, the need to be placed no later than the 15th of December.  Remember that all items are shipped using the US Postal Service.  Even when they are shipped priority there are delays.  

#3:  Currently the shop website is closed. I have a little house cleaning that I want to do in order to make the site flow a little better.  I will be reopening the site on December 1st.

Finished one of the blocks for the blanket and forgot to post a picture. I love how it turned out. The wings are adorable. I cant wait to share the finished project. This blanket jas been fun to make. I will post pictures of it on Monday. Have a great weekend.

Yarn!

The yarn came in for the blanket challenge. I'm currently working on rewinding it to fit my needs. Then I can really start on the blanket. 10 days and counting!

Today is nothing huge. Today is reorganization day. Yay!(<-insert sarcasm here) Actually this is something that has needed to be done for a long, long time. I will try to post images of it once it is completed.

After today I will begin working on holiday items. I have several things I want to make. I cant wait to show them off. Have a great xay all.

A Dragonfly Ruffle Dream:  A Little Challenge

                         Last night when I got home for work, I sat down with my supper and my iPad.  I had a message request on Facebook from a woman that I didn’t know.  Curiosity made me open it.  She had gotten my name from a mutual friend of ours and was needing crochet work.  Long story short, she has a pattern in mind for a baby blanket she wants to give as a gift, but doesn’t crochet.  I asked her when she needed it by and she said that she needed it completed by November 12th, but if it wasn’t completed by that time it was perfectly ok.  Challenge accepted.  

                         Today, I took off of work to go to an appointment, but I will be pricing yarns.  The pattern calls for a certain kind of yarn, but I am wondering if I could rewrite it enough to use baby yarn.  Not sure.  We will see.  I will be posting updates along the way.  Stay Tuned!

Welcome to Simplicity by j.m.e

Hello!  Greetings and Salutations!  Welcome to the new, and hopefully improved, Simplicity by j.m.e Blog.  I am very  excited by this new setup because I believe it gives me the freedom that I am looking for when it comes to posting.  I feel like the layout reflects how I best think.  It is sort of scatter brained, but well designed.
