The Sims 4: Love Island Challenge

Hello Islanders!

With the release of Lovestruck and the introduction of the ‘Reality TV Dating Show’ channel, I wanted to indulge myself in the same IRL, so I binged the current season of Love Island (UK, obviously). Of course, I've watched it plenty of times before, and I've noticed that it tends to follow the same formula every time. Then I realized, ‘Oh! I could totally turn this into a Sims challenge.’

This challenge is fully Base Game compatible, but more packs may enhance your gameplay experience.

I've recommended some mods in the attached Google Doc if you have the ability to download and use them.

Basic Rules ♡

Start a new save in Summer (28 Days) and create 6 to 8 Young Adult Islanders. Unless you want to put your own spin on it, start with an even number of Masculine and Feminine Sims. If using Mods, set your maximum household size to 12 Sims with MCCC.

Turn Aging off or set your Lifespan to Long.

Set your Islanders up with an Age and a Career. If preferred, you can also set them up with where they’re from and a Family/Friend Group. They won’t be active in these careers, but they’ll at least have a background and life to go back to if you choose to continue playing with them after the challenge.

Move into a Love Island Villa with the freerealestate cheat and set your Simoleons to $500,000 to live on during your stay.

Create 2 Clubs, one for the Masculine Sims and one for the Feminine Sims. Set their Club activities to ‘Be Friendly’,‘Be Romantic’, etc. with Each Other. The leaders of the clubs do not matter but if they get dumped from the Island they must pass their ownership on to the newest islander within their club.
