Yong Soo shrugged, casually trailing after her, “Why the sad face? I’m not going to hurt you or anythinnnnnng-” He jogged up beside her and made a fake sad face, “I promise.”
"What would you say is better? A life spent making mistakes or a life spent doing nothing?"
“Making mistakes of course.” She said, “Doing nothing is boring. At least with mistakes you’re actually doing something.” She raised an eyebrow at the man before her. Why was he suddenly asking her this? “Have you make a mistake recently?”

Yong Soo couldn’t help but laugh softly at the other’s flushed cheeks. It was good to know he could still elicit such a response with such a simple gesture. After a moment’s pause he made finger guns and grinned, “I’m from the wonderful, lovely kingdom of... Nowhere! I’m just... ya know, one of those from nowhere people.” He shrugged, “So you’re a magician? I’m guessing... Say, White Kingdom?”
"Clearly I'm an alien.. because no one classifies me as a human, female, male or otherwise. A ghost. Or an alien. You pick."
“I think I’m more like a ghost, if it’s any consolation…” He hummed, “perhaps you’re simply from another world. That’s the traditional use of the word alien, right? So definitions like human, female, or male don’t really apply to you? There’s no shame in that… All of these alices falling from the sky have sort of proved that, don’t you think?”

“Okay!” He shot her a pearly white grin and winked, “I’ll walk you to the edge of town despite that sounding even sketchier than me, a random mercenary, offering to accompany you wherever you’re going in the dead of night.” He was smiling, but it was still a little hard to tell whether or not he was kidding. But it was true. He meant her no harm.
He could tell she was more than she seemed to be. Actually he could tell a lot of things by just watching a person for a few minutes, but the ‘I’m a happy idiot who actually doesn’t give a shit’ facade tended to make things easier to smooth over in the long run. Though he did like to think he was a cheerful person if a bit morbid at times.
“Yeah, I mean, I’m actually pretty surprised you’re alive, but guess that just means you’re tough, eh?” He laughed, still watching her from the corners of his vision, ”You’re Marianne, right?”
"Huh... I thought you were dead."
“Sadly, I’m not,” She said, her smile wide and not at all matching her words. Fiddling with her bag’s strap, she tightened it around her shoulder until it gripped her like a vice. There were too many confidential papers to count in there, and a bottle of some cheap alcohol that she wouldn’t dare part with, so she had been protecting it with her life for too long to let some kid take it.
“Guess someone’s not getting a pay raise any time soon.”

“Good job! I’m proud of you!” Yong Soo gave the other a thumbs up and a cheesy grin. Whether or not he was being sarcastic was hard to tell, but then again, it usually was. He laughed, and let his hands fall to his side, “Besides, you’re no good dead after all.”
"Did you catch fire again?"
@silveryswordfall
He shook his head, the previous experience was bad enough, honestly. “No, I’m not that daft as to make the same mistake agann,”

“Good, good!” Yong Soo straightened up, letting an easy grin fall over his features, “You’ll be a survivor if it ever comes to a situation where the world’s ending! And remember-” He winked exaggeratedly, “I’m always here to offer some sagely advice when you need it.”
“Well, that’s okay! I mean, what she doesn’t know won’t kill her, right?”
“Of course, it isn’t if your goal is to keep her alive,” He laughed, “That’s always what kills people.”

Yong Soo snorted and waved his hand, eyes gleaming with amusement, “I’m kidding, kidding! I mean, hell, being a ghost is cool, but I’m not an alien. Born and raised in Wonderland, but then again-” He grinned and gave the other a quick wink, “Wonderland is a place of strange strangers. Maybe we are alien in a sense.”
"Clearly I'm an alien.. because no one classifies me as a human, female, male or otherwise. A ghost. Or an alien. You pick."

“Oh well! You seem cool,” He laughed easily, “I just heard rumors they got you. Guess they were wrong. That's good, I guess? Good for you at least.” Tilting his head to the side, he watched her carefully. Just because she seemed harmless didn't mean she was. He was ready to act if she turned out to be aggressive even though he doubted there'd be a problem.
“So what're you doing out and about so late at night? I'm surprised they don't supply you with guards,” Humming his eyes moved down to her bag, “Looks like you need one. I'd offer to walk you to wherever you're going, but-” He shrugged, “Would that sound suspicious?”
"Huh... I thought you were dead."

“Your choice. Pick which matter more to you,” He poked a finger towards the Prince’s chest, “Don't do something you'll regret, but remember. You can't just let people control you forever. Start the habit now and it never breaks.”
“Well, that’s okay! I mean, what she doesn’t know won’t kill her, right?”
“Of course, it isn’t if your goal is to keep her alive,” He laughed, “That’s always what kills people.”

“Now, now, just because you know I can't resist a challenge doesn't mean you should use it against me,” He said jokingly, “I'm probably going to regret saying this later, but-” He shrugged noncommittally, “I'll find it. And soon too.” He pulled his belt a little tighter and squared his shoulders, “I'm guessing you're not going to stick around to watch me look?”
“I’ve hidden it. Somewhere you’ll never find it.”
“But are you sure? I’m good at finding things. Trust me, I’m a professional at hide and seek~”

“Because you're little-” He held out a hand at knee level and patted the air to emphasize his point, “And like a ghost because… you’re always slipping in and out of missions and never being seen, plus the-” More flailing hand gestures, “The vibe. But you're cute too. And ghostie is like the cute version. Or something.” He just shrugged and grinned.
"Woah! You're that assassin from the Red Kingdom!"
“Shut up!” he exclaimed, moving and covering the other man’s mouth with his hand. He looked around anxiously.

"Admit first. Then we can see what I have for you," He smirked back, clearly not bothered by her darkened gaze.
"What would you say is better? A life spent making mistakes or a life spent doing nothing?"

Yong Soo shook his head, grinning, “You’ll see soon enough. Besides, Your Highness, I do have sharp senses. Comes with being a mercenary and all.”
In all honesty he was a little offended to hear that the Prince thought he couldn’t find something as simple as a rucksack. He was good at what he did, and finding things was part of it. He’d find it. You’ll see.

“Alright,” He laughed, “Not sure why you’re so scared of telling me, but hey, we all have our reasons. You like it here? The White Kingdom?”

“Then tell her,” He shrugged nonchalantly as if the casual talk of death didn’t bother him at all. Which in all reality, really didn’t.
“Well, that’s okay! I mean, what she doesn’t know won’t kill her, right?”

Yong Soo bounced on the back of his heels before moving to follow Gilbert. He nodded, watching their surroundings as they walked, “Yeah, little ghostie. That’s what I said.”
"Woah! You're that assassin from the Red Kingdom!"

“You act like one,” He pointed a finger at her chest, grinning mischievously, ”I see it in your eyes. Trust me, I’ve been around enough of you to tell.” Even if that was complete bs, it would help him figure out if she was one. Okay, well it wasn’t complete bs. He could tell she was faking.

“You said you weren’t feeling well, so I thought, hey, maybe these random flowers I have for no apparent reason will make her feel better,” He grinned and wiggled the flowers around, “Their roses. Girls like roses, right?”
"Say, pal, you don't look so good."
Emma blinked, wearily turning to the strange young man who suddenly approached her. She wondered what he wanted from her because if anything, she is too tired to talk at the moment.
“W-well I am a bit under the weather,” she began, “But otherwise I am feeling alright, thank you.”
