I don't think there'd be anything he'd mind showing to Ulti 😂eventually, anyway.

The thing he hesitates most to show others, however, is his kindness. He'd far rather seem an absolute jerk than admit he's still holding onto pieces of compassion.

(Which. Due to the situation in which they meet and interact, Ulti might start seeing Ton's nicer side pop up fairly quickly)

If he's close enough with a person, physical contact or just hearing them nearby is comforting to him.

In a more general sense, he finds tinkering relaxing. Also tending to Cow.

“Yeah…” he couldn’t help but agree, staring up at the silent, high arched ceilings.

The whole place was deathly still, save for the lazy swirls of ancient dust filtering through stained glass light. Were it not for the windows, there wouldn’t be much color at all - nothing except cold, light grey stone and ashen wood.

Perhaps, long ago, the place would have looked warmer. There were remnants of life all around - long faded tapestries, dried, withered bouquets of what must have been flowers. Through a half broken doorway, he could make out a still-set table, chairs half pushed out and silverware askew as if the residents risen halfway through brunch.

“Think there’s a library around?” he mused, gaze shifting to settle briefly atop the grand staircase laid out before them. The steps were half covered in rubble - the other half decorated with a colorless, long since deteriorated carpet.

She gave a hmm of acknowledgement, taking another sip of her drink before her gaze fell on him once more.

"Were someone able to give me what I want..."

"I would give anything."

Some might make such a statement flippantly, or, perhaps, with the intention of obscurity.

Yet her words held no uncertainty. Her stare hadn't wavered for a moment - suffocating in the weight of resolute understanding.

She knew exactly what she offered.

She knew - and she meant it.

"Think a devil can handle it?" the woman mused, smiling down at him.

❝ I'm pretty... ❞ A finger tapped the end of the chair's arm, emerald eyes sliding a bit to the left before shifting back, mirth of his own present as he weighed what word would serve him best, tongue running across the backs of concealed fangs lacking poison but sharp enough to accidentally cut oneself on. ❝ Versatile in terms of services I can offer. ❞ A term carefully plucked from the vast lexicon one might use to describe a person such as himself yet it still felt as if it fell short in the scope he meant, but it mattered little. To what extent said services entailed had yet to be determined.
