ravio - yes, like That ravio - is a massive geek, spending most of his time playing ancient human games such as The Legend of Zelda and.... splatoon...?

aside from being a computer gamer, he loves cardgames, especially table turf! he's the local champion in [currently unnamed town he ends up in]

he left the domes because of the lack of order, wandering the surface for a long time before he was grabbed by grizz. working for grizz gave him... order. a schedule, if a messy one; simple tasks to do every day; a reason to keep on living. sort of depressing tbh!

he was such a good worker that grizz hired him as a more. Private employee. and he began work on the rocket, fuelled with a lot of information he got about human technology (mostly from videogames)

MOSSY MOSSBALL,,,,,,,

after an extremely boring life in the octarian military, moss found herself on the surface with absolutely no idea of what the hell to do. she was grabbed by grizz, who promised her work, but she was so offended by the atrocious fashion of the outfits he provided that she refused to join until he gave her something a bit less... terrible.

she ended up designing an entirely new, superfresh outfit herself, which was distributed to the other octarians (and like 3 inklings) who worked alongside her

she actually ended up getting so bored with working with grizz that she intentionally sabotaged several key operations, which is how nu3, neo3 and little buddy managed to defeat grizz at all!

she was raised mainly on low-budget videogames and sci-fi movies, becoming very proud of her heritage due to the fact that those sci-fi movies were Dr Who and she's british

she began army training at 6, although it mostly consisted of her throwing her gun around an being Quite Improper with how she handled her weapons. once she was 13, she abandoned her training and began assisting in the defensive operations for trade routes with the salmonids.

she accidentally was locked out after the dome's great abandonment, stuck with the tiny team that made up the rest of the defense group. not sure what else to do, she followed them around - before getting thrown into alterna and joining grizz's new army

the three all met due to their massive respect for Agent 4, even if she was mind-scrambled, brain-washed and honestly not doing all that great. they made the Four Fangclub to honor her and all the help that she gave to them even through the mindwash glasses, and they stayed friends even after four was rescued!

other was a dome octarian, a result of an experiment to see if you could make a stronger octarian trooper if you mixed their creation with the birth process of an octoling a bit more. ew.

doc is a surface... inkling until those inktolings are confirmed. he knows octarian from a few friends, making him the only one out of himself and his two roommates that could fully communicate with whitegirl wednesday until copy learned some inklish

other is a MASSIVE fan of the band "plywood political party", manned by tyr (hi tyr), aro (hi aro), and misha (who is, again, way too swag for this tournament.). more than that, she ADORES tyr's solo act, the drying scotsman, and has every piece of merch he released.

doc's real name is pyom gerra, but he's so embarassed by it and loves his profession so much he seriously prefers to go by doc. he has a squiffer in a cabinet in his office in case of emergencies (like sanitization zombies, or perhaps a teammate needing to be revived). he has great fashion sense and leads a fashion blog on inkstagram - although he doesn't realize the sheer amount of followers that he has...

april's the daughter of the "slime king" - at least, that's what us earthlings gotta call him. he's actually a remarkable diplomat who came to earth to scout the Vibe.

being a slime, she can change her appearance at will - although, for human relations to stay strong, she has to maintain a mostly humanoid form. through some mistranslations and misunderstandings, she believed cows were the dominant species on earth... she was so disappointed when she found out that was not in fact the case

wisteria is a mantis! like most bug-humans, he can hide his more insect-y features at will, but xe really hate it. xe only is hiding them here bc i forgor. sorry wist

i actually don't have much on xem since i redesigned xem... so im gonna talk abt their origins as a hollow knight oc:]

part of the mantis tribe, xe were nearly exiled for being.a guy. but proved xyr worth by healing a majority of the village & all domesticated animals in it (this is, post infection duh)

q & zismith..WHERE do i even START.

acting as mentor figures for masa (who's also in this tournmanemtnt!!! hey masa!!! hi!!!!), these two Not-American streamers make most of their money by... streaming.

q gained massive amounts of popularity after a joke but /serious stream where q talked about the Actual average person compared to the Movie average person, raising awareness on a lot of topics such as the existence of transgender people and the fact that white people are super exotic

zismith mostly became popular for his completely voiceless streams where you could see he was talking but he never had his mic on. he also tended to comedically interrupt q while q played Risque games on request, although this was never scripted they always acted like it was regular

zismith's history is a bit of a....mystory..... only q knows anything medical or where exactly he came from, and he doesn't really like talking about it. he's vegan for medical reasons, and attended a prestigious college - although, he only ever took classes alone due to his Autism.

q's history is something they'll vaguely mention as a joke during streams, but q rarely seriously talks about it. when they were a child, they spent a large amount of time reading and writing poetry - their parents, loving art, were initially happy about this, although things turned more sour when they began neglecting their other studies and their poems became a bit more... personal. they were very desperate to go against the stereotypes people made about those living in their country, such as that they're lazy or particularly rude, and ended up overworking themself into extreme burnout without even their poems to give them any peace.

they left home as soon as possible, ended up meeting zismith and masa, and their life turned for the significantly better when they did.

the two live together, extremely happy even if they'll never be able to get married due to the laws in Not-America making it impossible for them to do so on account of their disabilities. they frequently voice call masa - and, later, berro - providing advice, funny cat memes, and basically everything you'd associate with two 50-somethings who live alone, together

PENTOLO AND STAPEL!!!

left the salmo army after becoming severely disabled, they later went on to return to help with the continuing (entirely secret) trade operations between the now-surface no-longer-dome octarians and the salmonids

they adopted princess and neo (who are ALSO in this tournament!!!) after finding the two dying, dehydrated and starving, in the desert. they nearly left the two there in fear of retribution from picking up an inkling child, but princess assured them that he couldn't do them any harm, which is good because nu is a very special little boy (although princess is more special.)

they later sort of take in neo-3 (who is my partner's oc!!!!) after they device to help with defending the secret trade routes

they love each other very deeply, although i don't know how to describe their personalities and i dont have any more backstory MCVBMCMVB

he has tartar IN his HEAD as an alter, who calls himself "tartarus". initially they hated each other a lot, but now they're... sort of friends.....

he still loves turf war, playing either solo or with the other NSBS members (mainly A4 and NU3)

on his journies, he found princess, who he called "little buddy" and took in as his little sister. in truth, princess was a lot older than him, and got lost when attempting to finally reach maturity so she could join in the battle against the inklings... but, this one didn't seem too bad

they travelled together for a very long time (like a year) until the small scattered towns finally stopped appearing and the two nearly died of exhaustion and dehydration

they were rescued by pentolo and staple (WHO ARE ALSO HERE!!!!! HIIII), being taken in as children, and being legally adopted (by salmonid law at least)

once nu was 14, his two dads encouraged him to leave the nest and try to reintegrate into inkfish society. he REFUSED to go without little buddy, even knowing how illegal it was, so the two set off for the only place that probably wouldn't give a shit - SPLATSVILLE!!

in the far future, after the events of RotM, they end up forming a pop-punk-hard metal band with neo3!!!!

he's very silly and extremely hyperactive, getting into a looot of trouble especially as a younger teen. his best friends, wist and april (HIIIIIII) ended up helping him get both in and out of most of that trouble
